Indian Chilly Masala reviews
51Hii just had a wonderful evening at Indian chilly masala. The food is really fresh and delicious and the staff also very friendly.
Lovely food!
We have dined at Indian Chilly Masala a few times and we have loved the food everytime.
It is hard to find a good Indian Restaurant in Australia, so when we found this place we came back the next week for more! (We aren’t local)
We had chicken Tikka Massala, Lamb Madras, Saphron rice, cheese and garlic naans. It was all very tasty. The madras wasn’t as spicy as back in the UK to the disappointment of my partner - even though he had asked for extra spicy. But tasty nonetheless.
We would definitely come back if we are in the area again.
Hands down the Best kept secret in Mandurah, from the moment we approached the restaurant from the street you could smell the heavy aroma of spice. Upon entering we were greeted by a lovely warm atmosphere and a friendly waitress who immediately ushered us to a table and served us water and fresh hot Pappadums. Choosing the lunch set was hard as you are offered any 2 curries from the menu regardless of price, This in itself is amazing yet so difficult as the choices are varied and all sound so delicious. There were 4 of us and we all chose different options to taste. We had the Red Prawn Curry which was flavourful and generous, loaded with the perfect amount of spices and so well balanced, added to this was the Prawn Jalfrezi, once again generous and perfectly cooked. The Garlic Naan was to die for and the perfect side along with the Rice. We had the Curried Goat which was falling off the bone, so tender in a rich thick well-balanced sauce, just perfect. Our vegetarian in the group had Bombay Potatoes which were spicy, tender and so well cooked. Next was the Spicy Eggplant which was perfectly cooked and with just the right amount of heat. Lamb Rogan Josh was tender, juicy, with a great kick of spice and aromatics, lucky there was ample Naan to soak up all of the delicious sauces. Finished the meal with Mango Lassis which were the perfect finish to cleanse the palate. Cool and refreshing. The complimentary scoop of fennel seeds were also a nice touch to finish. Our Host and Chef Harvey was so personable and friendly it was just like having dinner with family. Do not miss this place, it will take you straight to the streets of India, so flavorsome, fresh, generous and just good honest cooking. The price was more than value for money and we will make this a regular spot for Lunch or Dinner. This has recently been refurbished and is very clean and cosy, no wonder they have won menu log restaurant awards. Thank you Harvey and staff for a wonderful experience and day out.
Been twice first time had the beef vindaloo and then the chicken vindaloo, was hands down one of the best indian restaurants i’ve been to! If you love spice you’d love this location, the garlic naan was such a great pairing with the chicken just a great place you HAVE to visit!
Tasteless, runny sauce all tasting the same, no spice/heat, soggy bland naan. Very disappointing takeaway and very expensive. When will someone open a quality Indian Restaurant? !
If you're looking for a good Indian restaurant with big portions and great food and service, this is the place. Thanks harvey and the team.
Beautifully cooked, wonderful taste, great portion size’s. Great service and delivery. Highly recommend.
Ordered takeaway dal tadka and chicken biryani via their Google Food ordering page, waited a bit longer than initially indicated but the service was very friendly and focused.
The chicken in the biryani was so moist, and the flavours delicious as expected.perhaps the best I've had in Perth. The dal was likewise delicious with a generous number of curry leaves.
It was always reliably good when I used to live down in Mandurah 8 years ago, but it seems to have been even better tonight.
Very much recommended.
I ordered delivery,
$130 wasted!
Butter chicken was basically campbells tomato soup, literally…
The beef korma was watery and again tasted like campbells tomato soup with 6 x cubes of dry beef in it ….
Tandoori nann breads are not clearly done in a tandoor clay oven, oily flatbread that’s obviously cooked in a frying pan…
How embarrassing to say this is Indian food…
Please please please do not eat here. Used to be nice food but recently have gone down hill. The last 2 orders have been DISTGUSTING and UNEDIBLE. First time we thought it could have just been a bad night so we gave them another chance to receive uncooked, bright pink chicken.
DO NOT EAT HERE!
Save your money and take it to Spicy Flavours Indian chilly masala is disgusting their kitchen is so dirty a cockroach wouldn’t even go in there. The food I received from this place was absurd the butter chicken was undercooked by a mile and I questioned if it was even chicken on my plate… I wouldn’t even feed this to my dog. Please be careful as this place is a food safety breach and a half!
Visit this place several time now and they have the best INDIAN in mandurah amazing food and service, always top quality meat and fresh food. Give it try this place highly recommend guys
Chilly Masala … been coming here for ages. Can’t visit Mandurah without visiting chilly masala.
With out a doubt the worst experience I have had eating curry, it's hard to say anything nice about the 120$ spent tonight, curry was watery and had no flavour naan was hard and unedible, could go on but I won't, absolute waste of money tonight do not reccomend
We always enjoy our meal here. Well-priced, tasty food served by a friendly young lady. What more could you ask for? I especially liked the vegetarian eggplant dish. BYO is another bonus
Best Indian food in Mandurah. Not fancy restaurant and not fancy prices. Great service, make your own ambience, can easily handle groups, delivery and take-away. BYO alcohol. Easily park in Post Office car park and walk through side fence to avoid Pinjarra Road traffic.
Food is so delicious. Restaurant needs some attention. Front counter the wallpaper is ripped and looks mouldy and the ceiling is going brown and doesn't look very good so I only get take away.
This restaurant is the best accommodating Indian restaurant I have ever visited. If you can handle heat in your food but love the taste just ask and they will do it for you. The best Indian in mandurah.
Ordered online as opening times stated 11am-2pm for lunch. Ordered for delivery, confirmed in an email they had received the order. Waited 1 hour.
Called up to check where it was to be told they don't deliver until the evening, no where stated that or flagged to us when ordering.
She also told us she hasn't got the order her end, but it was confirmed my end via email? !
She said the owner is the one who gets the orders and they weren't in today.
Complete waste of time, useless service
