IGA reviews
48Smallish but well stocked store which was open on Boxing Day! Yay! Very much appreciated by tourists filling up on fuel or locals collecting bread or bacon & orange juice
Way way overpriced. I walked out after sussing it out now I look at other reviews and realise I made the correct decision.
Great selection and prices with friendly staff. Giant sign in the front doors backpacks not allowed in store almost made me not go in.it's a tourist place people are going to have backpacks and shops don't provide bags to carry stuff anymore, thanks but I'm not carrying a box on a bike. Happy for me to leave my valuables at the entrance where anybody can take it but concerned about a pack of biscuits or whatever
Extensive selection. Bizarrely, items of the same category (e.g. Cutlery, servingware and plastic food storage, and non-alcoholic beverages) are scattered across several locations throughout the store.
Well stocked IGA, yes it's expensive, but you're a long way from the city and diesel is expensive.
Fairly well stocked with everything you'd need, prices reasonable for remote location.
Jenny the manager had a totally legitimate reason for asking me to leave as I had my scooter inside which I later said to her I thought was fine. However, in customer service - even in a little iga - you do have to have some semblance of professionalism. Jenny was rude and aggressive and yelled at me several times “no one’s going to steal it” if I left it outside. Her reasoning was that the store was too busy, so I took photo evidence of the store which was dead. You just cannot speak to customers or anyone this way. If she’d calmly come up to me and asked me to park the scooter outside a confrontation wouldn’t have had to happen. Checkout staff are generally lovely here but management should lead by example, and speaking to customers like that is no example.
I arrived at 5.20pm on a Saturday as it is advertised open on two different sights and it'd closed
Fantastic selection of food and good pricing. Meat choices were great. Staff are all very friendly, open til 6pm which is handy.
The only supermarket in Kalbarri nice little store can get very busy because it the only place to buy supplies fromsome prices are high but all good
I can personally attest that the narrow petrol station can accommodate a big 6 berth campervan! Don't try the inner pump, you might get permanently stuck. It did take a few to and fro and several passers-by were given us curious glances, but the campervan eventually fitted with inches to spare on both sides. If we'd known there was another petrol station just a short throw down the road, I doubt we'd have been so heroic though. Oh well.
Friendly helpful staff and a suture that stock’s everything you would need to get by. Prices aren’t to bad and they do have plenty of specials daily.
Good location supermarket in Kalbarri, open 7 days is very convenient for tourists. Fuel station was there.
The bread I bought this morning had mould on it which is not acceptable for an expensive loaf. Whilst the bread was old (which was fine), they should not sell bread with mould.
Only grocery shop in Kalbarri. Price's not to bad, fuel the cheapest. Nice friendly staff. We asked were something was, they took us straight to it. I like friendly service.
Low quality of food AND high prices. I do not understand how IGA besides Aldi, Woolworth, Coles is able to survive. At least the staff of this IGA is very friendly; therefore 2 stars instead of 1 star
Kalbarri is a tourist place and multicultural society visits everyday, but IGA staff don't know how to respect non English people. Their behaviour towards them is very bad and they are partial.
Great little shop with lots of variety. Always well stocked every day. Friendly staff. Our go-to shop when we are in kalbarri.
Do not buy meat in this store. We spend over $50 for 3 packs of lamb on getting them to our accommodation we discovered that they were off and went back to the store to ask for a refund or replacement. The manager on duty was very rude and told us that only 1 packet was off and the other 2 were fine, yet they all smelt the same and the colour was off. She then proceeded to ask her staff for her opinion, the staff grabbed our meat and bit into which was raw and proceeded to tell me that it was okay and that we did not know how to treat their meat which was very demeaning. The cashier then threw our meat away only refunding us for one. We then had to pay for three new packs for dinner. We were then told to get out and not come back by the lady who ate our meat without refunding. I would not recommend this store as they sell products are close to use by date and their customer service is severely lacking.
Have everything you need in-store but lady who served us acted like it was to hard, know your busy but a smile wouldn't hurt
