HOYTS Southlands reviews
70 Good cinema with comfy seats
Remember to get extra straws if you're getting drinks because the paper straws don't hold up well, they last about 30 mins till they get soggy and useless
Comfy seats, small size cinema, good condition and clean.
Only complaint was the sound in the adjacent cinema was way too loud and drowned out some of the dialogue in our movie.
Wouldn’t let our friends in who were 10mins late when the movie just started. Offered cash and were just rude don’t recommend since the manager can’t run the cinema properly.
The entire outing was over priced, tickets, drinks and hot food.
Won't return, Reading Cinemas is preferred.
Great service from the staff. Awesome with the seating all being recliners now. No need for lux anymore. And this one is licenced for alcohol so for any piss heads that like a drink with their movie. This is the place to go.
Bad customer service
The so called manager Jarrad.doesn’t deserve to be a manager.
Not able to please our child with special needs.
Was there for a movie last night. Service at the counter was brilliant. Jorja looked after us and was extremely patient while I tried to figure my app out and also reminded me of the benefits I would enjoy if I continued with my VIP members. Very pleasant kid who seems to enjoy what she does. Different story with the one who was checking tickets but that’s ok:)
Not told there were captions through the whole movie and told the front seats were the only ones available. Had a terrible view of the movie. Don't know how they could charge full amount when watching from these seats
Ended up walking out
Lovely staff and very well kept cinema with comfortable recliner chairs. There's also a decent sized games arcade to enjoy while waiting.
Try to park on the top level for easier wheelchair access.
Watching Avatar 2 in theatre 8 we were attacked by something biting us, ruined my wife's and mines evening and had to leave half way through. Never again Hoyts
Nice clean cinema, just a shame the movies are not shown in HD so it's not a sharp picture. You get a better picture on your TV.
Fabulous seating very comfy the staff were very helpful and the tickets are a good price thank you I have taken my grandson to two movies 1 one week and 2nd week 1 movie we loved everything about the whole experience
Love going to hoyts southlands BUT, you guys are useless at answering your phone. I had a question to ask that needed to be answered PRIOR to arriving at the cinema complex.
Very comfortable seating and very clean unlike some of the other older hoyts around that need refurbishing.
Sound but no picture for 10 minutes during the movie which was a bit off-putting and distracting
Great service, easy to book online and friendly staff. The only issue I have is with people that can't live without their phones for two hours.really people, I would have preferred a crying baby.
Would be really great for staff to check in on booked/paid seats. We could have moved back further instead of receiving equivalent to whiplash on our necks from having to sit so close to screen which kind of ruined the experience a bit
It was my mom’s 72nd birthday, and all she wanted was to go see the new Top Gun, but because she had a back operation years ago she doesn’t like to go out very often. I said to her that the recliner chairs are really good, so she’ll be fine. After convincing her, I decided to treat her and pre-purchased 6 tickets online for the whole family to get the best seats to make it a night she’ll remember. After buying snacks and drinks the night cost me more than $300, not cheap! But unfortunately when we got to our chairs, 4 of the 6 recliner chairs didn’t work at all. We really didn’t enjoy the experience, after paying a lot of money. Very disappointed and won’t be back. Sorry!
