HOYTS Millennium reviews
67 40 mins of ads, 40mins! Do better than that. The Xtreme seats were worn and cracked. Thankfully spare seats and just moved but on a busy day you wouldn't have that luxury.
Also, aircon must of been busted because it was non existent and having to sit down and relax for 3 hours (40 mins of adds inclusive).
I generally come for the popcorn also, 1/5 for that! The soda was okay, just okay tho.
Won't be returning to this place unless it goes under new management.
There was a worker called nathan I think he had blonde hair he was very helpful and he was nice and was understanding when I didn’t know what to do
Sound system is top notch. Leather recliner seats are super spacious and comfy. Just a real shame that my seat's recliner didn't work:/
Their subtitle device didn't work, they gave me two vouchers to apology. However they expired quickly, I wasn't able to use them (travel, covid, etc.), and they refused to gave me some new ones. I don't appreciate this kind of fake gift. Especially from a place where everything is so expensive (ticket, food, water).
It was a really comfortable experience, The staff were very nice but a little bit expensive in my opinion
I don’t know the workers name however he let my son into a ma15+ movie (smile) whilst my son was underage.not only did the worker fail to mention how you needed to be 15+ to watch the movie but he just let my son walk through without an id check or anything.it was not only until after the movie did my son realise you had to have been 15+ however it was too late and the emotional damage had already been done.the time of the movie was a 5: 10 session at hoyts millennium.the worker looking to be around 20 or so male according to my son.i would recommend to stay away from the cinema or warn you children before.
Electric reclining chairs are awesome. First time for me to experience this. The only way forward now for me to experience a movie in the cinemas. Drinks and snacks are very pricey. Bring your own I'd say.
Can't fault the guys who work here. All Cinemas are expensive these days.friendly staff, clean venue.
Not very happy with the recliner chairs because if you put the legs up the back goes down very uncomfortable to say the least especially for the elderly.
I booked tickets online one day before I couldn't book our tickets for 10 am as my only option was 11 am we arrived at cinema to find out movie already started I asked if we can go to the next session instead and was told no. Wat a farse freo buy huge thanku tho to Rob Booragoon hoyts for giving us 3 free tickets at a later session mu daughter was over the moon
Big comfy reclining seats even in base cinemas. Staff happy for me to bring a milkshake in from outside as they don't have them.
Yeah ok I think recliner max in Currambine is better. Sat up the back so annoying everytime someone goes in or out light shines. Green exit signs lighting up sound was quite low and it was too hot in there. But you no that's just my thoughts other people in my group thought it was great.
The extreme cinema upgrade for me is worth it. It gives you the full experience having better sound quality, lazy boy and screen viewing.
Unfortunately old cinema so small screen high prices on everything I won’t come back they should improve
Cinema screen is great! Recliner chairs are comfortable but have wear and tear holes in them. The price of combos for food and drink are way over priced.
Bought my kid movie tickets for her hot date. She’s 15 and we have done brutal lockdown. She showed them her covid vaccination (which has her date of birth) and THEY REFUSED ENTRY DUE TO AGE BECAUSE NO PHOTO. It doesn’t say on the ticket she needs PHOTO ID. I spoke to Rihanon (management) to verbally tell her my kid was 15, it says that on the vaccination certificate and that even though she doesn’t legally need my permission to see the film she has it. Rihanon said no. I told Rihanon I hope she felt powerful for completely stuffing up a kid’s night when ITS NOT STATED ON HER TICKET SHE NEEDED PHOTO ID. Livid. I went full KAREN. Refunded but FURIOUS.
Pixels on the screen are very noticable. They need to use a higher resolution. The sound system makes a loud hum that is very noticable in quieter scenes. There is also noticable distortion on louder sounds, and harsh transients. Oh and most of the movies are big budget cash grabs with stories that go nowhere.
Returning to the cinema after 2 yr absence and it just reaffirmed why I hate cinemas. Overpriced experience that would be better on my couch at home watching the film on a streaming service. Staff are unhelpful, place is cramped and full of people who quite frankly ruin the experience not add. Also the screen had pixel spots which could be seen on static scenes and are not of high enough quality. Seriously my OLED at home has a better picture.
Went to see James Bond movie last night.picture quality very poor.a big disappointment.seemed out out of focus for most of the veiwing.
Great cinema.
Reclining seats. Nice popcorn.
Easy parking next to a car park building.
