I cannot recommend this place enough. They knew how to cut my curls, were extremely friendly and I never leave disappointed. The owner of the hairdresser is extremely knowledgeable. When my hair didn’t react well to a chemical straighten they have gone above and beyond to fix it. A fabulous hairdresser I recommend to everyone.

With a large booking to tackle for multiple girls pre-wedding, House of Melvan not only accommodated attentively to be able to cater for all my ladies at separate intervals but delivered exactly what each individual requested and all for affordable prices at that. We received all our services professionally and we can confidently agree there is nothing we can identify that needs improvement- Personally I was in LOVE with my results and can't thank you enough!

I browsed extensively for good salons and found this place. I wanted a long bob with layers, shoulder length. The hairstylist just went on chopping off my hair to neck length, without checking with me, if I was okay with the length.
Am extremely disappointed with the service.

Got both my daughters in same day due to cancellation. They were both very happy with their cuts. Both had very long hair before the cut so we are super pleased it was a good experience. The young stylist (it said Kat on her trolley) listened to what the girls wanted.
Staff are friendly.
Also the pricing was very reasonable.

Went in for a trim today and it turned out perfect! I love the way my hair looks now, clean cut & tidy! I know a trim is very simple and not a big deal to some but 4 "high end" salons ive been too in the past were all scissor happy and butchered my hair (yes you heard right all 4 have messed up a very simple trim!) so because of that I avoid getting it trimmed all together and it has made me have trust issues with hairdressers. Sooooo im over the moon ive found House Of Melvan ive lived locally for many years and I never knew this hidden gem existed. I know where ill be going in the future! In my opinion it is now obvious to me that it doesnt matter if the establishment looks/is high end and where it is located. Its about the competent, skilled & talented staff who take pride and care in their work! And youll find that at House Of Melvan. Highly recommend! Good vibes! Excellent service! Friendly staff & great prices! Cant wait to go back and not be worried about how my hair will turn out!

So after my disastrous experience with a mainstream hair salon getting a perm I decided to go with the advice from my best friend and go to House of Melvan. Well I am so glad I did! As soon as I walked through the door, even though they were busy, I was greeted (always a plus) and only sat down for a few minutes and then it was all systems go:) The staff are super friendly, their expertise in hair impeccable and they have great music playing in the background (another plus) I highly recommend The House of Melvan even if its a bit of a drive they are definitely worth it and yes now I have the perm of my dreams. Perfection!

Great salon, was able to put my name on a cancellation list and got an appointment last minute. Did not expect to be squeezed in so last minute but very grateful. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Hairdresser listened when I explained that my hair is resistant and doesn't take colour well. Colour came out great and the cut is perfect, thank you!

Staff are lovely and casual. They also are very professional and did a great job. I’ll definitely be back.
