House of Cards Wine reviews
41This has been favourite winery for years. Always great service with knowledgeable staff. Love the fortified wines
The friendliest wine tasting place I’ve been to - Great environment, very helpful staff, and of course awesome wines!
HOWEVER - was a bit disappointed as we found out after we paid, that both of the wines we bought was on promotion (that we can get another extra wine with a lower price) - and the staff did not mention that to us at all.
We are happy to support local business, however would appreciate if the staff could let us know at the first place!
I went here we the first opened and went back recently (Oct 2020). When they first opened it was just the small shop for Wine sales and a pleasant atmosphere. Now that asdws a sweet shop (mainly chocolate) and a restraunt. The atmosphere and location is amazing and relaxing. Of the many vinters and locations in the area, I'm a big fan of House of Cards.
Lovely staff and beautiful grounds. Wine tasting, restaurant and heaps of parking options. Lots of gifts for sale including jewellery and craft items made from old wine barrels. Worth a visit for sure!
The two wines I tasted at Chow's Table next door were good. Unfortunately did not have time for a tasting proper this time.
The staff were absolutely amazing. Super friendly and knowledgeable
Wines were delish.
Small play ground and huge grass area for the kids to play.
Definitely will be back
A unique little winery in a cozy setting. All the wines came from their single vineyards but they quite range in various kind of grapes. All the reds tastes very strong, spicy and rich in my opinion.
We're guided to have a seat at the terrace next to kids toys area to have tasting.
2018 Three Card Monte Sauvignon Blanc is one of my favorite, fruity but a hint of oaky Chardonnay. The flagship 2017 Ace of Spades tastes definitely great. I personally thought 2017 The Kings in the Corner Cab Merlot priced 26 box is a good deal, all handpicked - tastes strong yet very fresh fruity.
All the wine labels are beautifully designed, playing cards-themed so we bought some for souvenirs too.
Cool place, wines not really for us but awesome branding. $5 tasting fee, waived with purchase. Cute dogs too
Very accommodating and flexible with a group tour I organised.
Wines are great and very good value.
Lovely place to stop and have a glass of wine on the verandah.
Visited here on a winery tour, and while it was interesting, there were better vineyards in the area. We actually enjoyed the chocolate shop next door better than the winery!
Great place and a fantastic lady who gave us places to go to to find wines that I wanted. Thank you
A great winery in the southwest wine region, with fantastic quality wines.
There's outdoor seating to enjoy the weather and scenic bushland.
There's a new restaurant attached, Chow's Table, which also looks amazing and will certainly be visiting on my next trip
It is not often you go to a winery and meet the owners at a tasting!
Great wines, friendly people and their branding is just the best!
High quality, single vineyard wines made to a high standard. Friendly and informative cellar door team. Plenty of complimentary options including Chocolate Shop and ChowsTable (funky new day/ night Asian Restaurant)
The wines were great and I bought a pinot gris. The woman was very friendly helping serve the wine.
A small winery, with a cool and quirky image and consistently good wines with the occasional special variety which invariably sells out very quickly. They sometimes have live music and rosè slushies on public holidays, and the owners are super-friendly. Being next door to Gabriel Chocolates and Windows Estate makes this a very convenient stopover. Highly recommended.
My favourite winery in the South West! Don't miss House of Cards when you're in the area. Their wines are amazing and will convert you to different varietals even if you normally don't like them. The Queen Of Hearts Chardonnay is beautiful but my favourites are the Shiraz, Cab Sav and SB.
We came on a wine tour with Cape Discovery Wine and Trike Tours. The best tour group by far. The 12 of us learnt so much about the local wines. Thanks guys. *****
Lovely place. The lady was very helpful aloud our party to taste test a huge amount of wines. I loved the Rosé brought 3 bottles and so did my sister. Nice jewellery there too glad we came here
Came back for the second time and once again was blown away. Can't wait to get off the wait list for membership. Thank you. See you again.
