Absolutely amazing practice. The staff are amazing at helping out when stuck in a situation. Could not have asked for a better Dr for my children

First reaction when our children’s needs are not met is anger and blame, please remind yourself the battle you survived before being referred. A paediatrician working day and night for children should be respected just like a normal human while grieving the loss of a love one. Bringing down medical staff is utterly disgusting, THE SYSTEM is to blame for a large percentage of mental health issues in adults, it failed me and has now officially failed my 9 year old daughter. To make a change to your child’s future and their child’s future direct this anger towards the people who have created this mess. If they started by introducing a compulsory EXPERIENCED Psychiatrist 5 days a week at every school, for all students and parents support is needed. Principals and teachers are not phycologist yet being drowned with emotional stress beyond their capabilities & knowledge. Australia’s medical system is leaving families suffering, NOT our local loved paediatrician doing his best!

Don’t waste your time.
They do not want to know you after taking your money. Make you pre pay for Telehealth consults then don’t ever call, making it impossible to change meds. We’ve been trying to have a follow up consult and Dr Anand just will not call when he says.
Prescribed both of my kids the same medication which didn’t help, I think it was just the easiest option (anti depressants for a 7&9 yo), as stimulants require an application for authorisation which is clearly too much effort for these guys.
They don’t reply to emails.
By the looks of their Facebook comments it’s a regular occurrence.
Save your time and money and go somewhere else!

We had a great experience here. Only had to wait for 4 months, which is a miracle considering the 18 month plus wait lists everywhere else. We felt very confident with the knowledge and experience of Dr. Anand, his knowledge and confidence in dealing with nuero divergent children was so refreshing and validating. He is thorough, appointments are not rushed, you aren't shoved out the door as soon as possible. All questions are asked and answered, parents are invited to choose different treatment options, if medication is to be given etc, its not a dictatorial style appointment. All physical checks are done, and over all we have been very happy with our experience. Clinic is clean and well presented, spacious and lots of grassy area to play outside.
Ring ahead of your appointment to see if they are on time, as, like any specialist dealing with a divergent child appointments can go over time due to thoroughness of doctor. Not heaps to do in waiting area so maybe bring something for your kids to do.

Dr Anand is an expert in his field, we are incredibly lucky to have access to his services in the South West.
He is gentle and caring, appointments are thorough and not rushed. He is investigative, exploring all aspects of health to get a deeper understanding of what the child needs. This is how it should be. Any Dr who sees you once and gives you a pill on the spot should not be practising.
I appreciate there have been some administrative errors over the last couple of months as he had to go home for family but his practise has worked tirelessly since returning to get things on track including employing a highly experienced secretary.

My condolences to your family on your loss and thank you for continuing to help us on our journey with our child.

Absolutely the best paediatrician we have seen, I have been to many and yes you can wait a while after your scheduled time as you do with most specialists, factor this into your day because it's worth it to actually see a paediatrician that genuinely cares about the health and well being of your child. I believe the admin/receptionist issue has been resolved and that person no longer works there.

My family is forever grateful for the dedication and care we continue to receive. It has been a long journey to find a clinic who offers support & complete understanding to get the best results for our children in the present & future. Thank you so much!

The administration at this practice is terrible, and reports etc.are never recieved.
If you are on the waiting list elsewhere be sure not to lose your place in the queue, as you may get an earlier appointment here, but you will cause yourself endless stress trying to chase up documents for months.
I suggest the Health consumer council to assist.

Was very impressed by our first appointment at this clinic. No wait time, a very thorough assessment of my child and a warm-natured receptionist. I rang up this morning to check something and got through straight away and spoke to a very helpful receptionist. We all have different experiences and the positive ones need hearing too.

Care of your child at Hope Paediatrics is compromised by extremely poor and disorganised management and administration.

From running significantly late for appointments
to no follow up after phone calls, messages not being passed on at all, Medicare rebate issues, having significant assessment costs sprung on you when you were not aware an assessment had been completed, waiting for 8 months for a referral letter (despite repeated requests and reminders) etc etc.

The practice manager was completely dismissive of all concerns raised.

Very stressful experience for us and we will not be returning.

HOPE Clinic, is quite possibly the worst clinic i have attended with my child. The poor management of the receptionist- she is where it starts and the overall lack of professionalism is where it ends with the other staff members. 9 times out of 10, you can't phone through- they never answer or the mailbox is full. They have no idea who your child is even if they have met them several times or just talked about them 5 minutes ago.
Appointments can run late, leaving you waiting 40minutes plus for your appointment to take place. If you do attend, be sure to make sure they know why you are going and have all the relevent paperwork available otherwise you could end up paying for an appointment where nothing happens because they have no idea.it happened to us.

Staff can be quite rude- particularly the receptionist, untrained in their role and need some prompts on how to run an effective, reliable and helpful service.

The testing process was also very rushed and did not give our child a proper chance to explore the activities set out before them. Very overwhelming for both our child and us as adults.

I recommend getting a second opinion on some of the perscriptions written out as one of the ones we were given our child hadn't actually been tested for and the amount of medication perscribed could have caused toxicity to our child.

I do not recommend this clinic at all and find you would be better off on a waiting list at another clinic.

Save yourself the stress.
