Honeymoon Pool reviews
40We've been going here for years, ever since I was a kid. (Grew up in Bunbury) The only negatives are that there isn't enough parking (especially for summer holidays and public holidays, during the summer), and those March flies are horrible. The water is always cold, which is refreshing. I love it. The trees are very shady and keep you cool. There are camping grounds there also. The toilets are in good condition.
Camped at Stonebrook, a short walk to the main pool which was freezing to get into. Back to basics with the added bonus of flushing toilets. Very busy with campers coming and going. Stayed for 14 days. The only thing I missed was electricity to charge my mobile phone in case of an emergency. Cool nights helped copy with warmer days.
Looks like a great spot. Although the sites are small and close to each other. Only suitable for tenting.
Each site has picnic table.
Toilets were clean
The pool itself is very, very cold still. Rustic and relaxing. Heaps of camping spots. Beautiful and recommended.
What a beautiful location. The walk to the dam from here is sublime. Camping options abound - first come first served so book early. A great location in Western Australia.
A great spot to camp with a few good hikes to to get out in nature. You can walk all the way to the Wellington Dam.
What a charming place. Camping is available booking online only in advance. Stunning place to have a picnic or BBQ.
We were out for a weekend drive & diverted to check out Honeymoon Pool. It didn't disappoint. Beautiful spot amongst the Forrest, stunning green moss everywhere, a great swimming & camping spot not far from Collie, has walk trails, bbq's & picnic tables for day use or book online & camp there. Also not far is the Wellington Dam, the rapids & Big Rock also well worth the journey.
The scenery is quite beautiful. I imagine it's a lively spot for a dip in summer. Lovely bush walks around the area.
Great place for a get away from the city, although $15/adult/night can add up. Camp sites are nestled along the creek, under the canopies of large trees. They are well set out and some are quite secluded. Not the place for caravans though. Barbecues, shelters, toilet facilities and large industrial bins for rubbish. Bring your own drinking water.
The creek flows from the base of Wellington Dam and is cool to swim in on a hot day. The water leaves your skin feeling very soft and the body invigorated. It is very relaxing to listen to the local bird life. A short drive up to Wellington Dam is well worth the look. The painted mural on the Dam wall is magnificent.
Great location, so picturesque and quiet, sufficient amenities available, a great relaxing time for any visitor. Just check availability with parks.
Wow! What an awesome camping spot.
Only issue was that most camp-sites were not flat and some were a little awkward to get into for large vehicles.
There ia also some construction work being done on some of the steps leading into the pool at the moment (Oct/Nov 2021)
Beautiful shady camp spots with well equipped fire pits & picnic table. Always wanted to stay here.but a bit busy for us over the week end & large groups of day visitors. Was nice to hear all the kids having fun.but I like my peace & quiet. I think I might go back to the Wellington Dam campsite.
Spacious campsites, clean flushing toilets, lots of birds in the morning to wake you up.
Great site with lots of shady trees.
$15 a night.great value!
It's a camping place but nothing else to enjoy. Swimming is not allowed. Toilets are dirty and without soup.
Lovely place to just escape for the day, heaps of walk trails in the area plus a few bike trails not far away. Theres also heaps of camping spots online booking only, most of them have a fire ring season only and a table and seat theres also toilets and bins along with lots of possums haha so make sure you dont leave food laying around.
A great little place to visit to camp or even a family BBQ and a bush walk. Visited in winter so swimming was not on the itinerary.
If you do decide to have a BBQ, be aware of the cheeky resident magpies who enjoyed stealing a sausage!
Love the Preston River downstream from Wellington Dam. Honeymoon pool has a great day use area of limited size and quite a few campsites available via online bookings.
Beautiful part of the world. Nestled in the forest and alongside a stream which flows from the Wellington dam.
Only downside is no caravan facilities.
One of the best spots for family picnic. This place is really beautiful and good to swim. There is no shower facility but the water in the pool is clean enough. I didn’t feel sticky or itchy after swimming. I am definitely going there again.
