Tried taking advantage of a first home builder. Horrible customer service. If it wasn’t for knowing people in the industry they would have walked all over me.

I called up today because my house that was built through home group has had major issues with tiling cracking throughout the house in the bathrooms and kitchen, my daughter was getting into the bath tub and the tile gave way and collapsed luckily my daughter wasn’t seriously injured, when inspecting underneath the tiles it is completely hollow! This is so dangerous there is nothing under the tiles to support this so I suggest everyone to check under your bath tiles if they are cracked! Lyn I spoke to on the phone was so rude & didn’t even care to listen as to what has happened or to have anyone look at the AWFUL structure under the tiles! DO NOT RECOMMEND
THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE!
I have had multiple plumbers look at this after it has happened and they said they can’t believe this passed inspection from your supervisors.

I am at a rear lot with no shared areas/driveway. My front neighbour is building with Home Group and Home Group have installed their temp power distribution box on the wrong side of the driveway on my property instead of their clients property. Their trades are now running leads across my driveway. Being nice, I have informed Home Group that I will be pouring concrete soon and it would benefit them if they pull their power underground and relocate their temp power box to the correct landowners' property. Homegroup is refusing to do this and even dared me to approach Council or legal.

Had handover last week, and i have nothing bad to say about HGWA.
Started from walking into a display home to walking out of their office in Balcatta with our keys and every person i delt with along the way from sales consultant, prestart consultant, Client Liaison officer and our building supervisor every single person was accommodating and answer our question in a very timely manner.
The house was built in a professional and very tidy manner.
I would recommend building with them to everyone, they run a very tight ship and you will be amazed on the outcome.

Cem went above and beyond in helping us to design our home, taken suggestions and changes by us as well as offering his ideas. We have just signed up with Home Group WA to build our forever home. Our sales consultant has been a pleasure to work with so far. He was patient, approachable, honest and listened to our needs. He was able to produce a design that incorporated all the inclusions we requested, within our budget. He was happy to re-draw the design several times to ensure all our last minute modifications were accommodated and to ensure our budget was adhered to. We are looking forward to the pre-start meeting and commencement of construction of our new home. Based on our experience so far, we would have no hesitation in recommending Home Group as a builder.

We couldn’t be happier with our dream home, this being our third build we chose our builder very carefully and so happy we choose them. It was a seamless experience from the day we walked into the Lakewood platinum display in Bushmead, Gareth is so professional and knowledgeable and made it so easy for us. Poor workmanship, their contractors not paying attention to small details. After they finished the house, there was rubbish every where buried under the ground. Building supervisor has to pay more attention to your contractors.

I can't speak highly enough of the team from Home Group - professional, helpful, easily contactable and upfront and honest throughout the whole process.

Being first time home builders, my wife and I were hesitant with most things and had lots of questions we needed answering and Dean took us through everything and put our minds at ease on the first meeting.

The pre-start, while slightly rushed, still was an easy and fun process. Laura took us through all the options, explained everything and answered all our questions and as I requested "make sure we don't do anything stupid".

The building process was quick, especially with COVID and chirstmas delays, everything went up and in with no major issues. Rob and his team did a stellar job and we couldn't be happier with the end result.

We had a few client liasons but Jacinta saw us through to the end - constantly professional and quick to reply to emails, overall a very pleasant experience working with her.

I've already been reccomending Home Group to everyone who asks, with 1 friend chosing to go with them and starting the process.

Now that we have the keys and moving on with the next stage of our life, my wife and I would like to thank Home Group for being better than we ever could have asked for.

Home Group WA have been absolutely amazing so far with our building process! We shopped around and compared builders first before settling but decided Home Group WA was the fit for us after meeting with Ben and taking a look through the display homes.
Ben is our building consultant and he certainly knows his stuff! For myself being a first time home builder and my husband being a second time home builder he answered questions that we both had about the process and was very upfront with us from the beginning.
Ben organised for us to take a look around the display centre and we were more than happy with what we saw and the inclusions we saw. We gave Ben a list of ‘must haves’ and pretty much left the rest up to him when it came to the design, safe to say he has done an awesome job and we couldn’t be happier! We can’t wait for the rest of our journey with our build.

Absolutely amazing company. Starting with the Sales Representative all the way through the building process. They assisted my daughter in getting her dream home that she never really thought was possible. All of pre start was done at their head office in Balcatta and everyone of the staff involved couldn’t do enough for her. If I was to build another home I would absolutely build through Home Group. Thank you to Home Group WA for excellent service. I did not personally build through them, but recently purchased a house which was built by them about 5 years ago. We're in the process of doing some work and needed some plans and had nothing. A quick call to Home Group WA and within 15 minutes I have been provided with all the plans. I do absolutely love our home and it is a really quality build. But I just wanted to extend a big thanks for their help today which was so efficient and friendly. Very happy!)

I originally had nothing but positive reviews when first moving into my home 3-4 years ago, but since moving in the poor quality of construction has started to show signs.
Along with minimal to no help/support from the office staff, the responses themselves have been apathetic and disrespectful.

The major problem we are facing is with the second bathroom's shower not being sealed properly, which is now affecting the electrical services within the home. This is now causing additional problems with the electrical services within the home, mainly being the RCD.
Once showering, water is leaking through the glass panes, and hitting the electrical socket that was placed directly adjacent from the shower screen.
The second bathroom is unusable because when you use the shower, the houses power trips.

The advice given from the office staff was, 'to open a window. ' This is an inadequate response.
I understand the office staff won't understand how construction works, but being constantly told it's a 'condensation problem' when it is clearly a sealing problem, shows that, not only are the office staff not willing to expand their knowledge, but also shows there was no communication between the office and the ONE electrician that was sent to the residence.
Anyone with a basic understanding of basic knowledge knows water and electricity are not a safe mix.

As someone who works in the construction industry, I'm appalled and surprised by the amount of blame that is being put back onto us as the home owners.
We did not and would not cause a problem like this. Not only is this an annoying problem, it is costly for us, and dangerous for us as the home owners

We have been in contact with home group for over 2 months now with still no end in sight.

I would not recommend this building company and I am embarrassed that I have recommended it in the past before.

This is such a disappointing shame

I have been working along side Claudia (Sales) from Home Group WA for about a year now and I have enjoyed every moment:) Instantly I was made to feel comfortable and supported with becoming a solo home owner, they assisted me through every step ensuring all my needs were met and that I was 100% happy with all my decisions. I am so thankful for Home Group and the professional standards they provide, they are constantly in contact with me making sure I know exactly what is happening, I highly recommend them to my family and friends and I personally wouldn’t go anywhere else.
