Bought a BX1 bluetooth tap timer and I'm loving it! Using it on a tap in a public area, which has been secured to prevent unauthorised access so being able to use it remotely is brilliant. Timer function is also working out as super convenient.

I’m not one to normally do this but I’ve had a gutfull.

I always try to do my best to support Australian made. I have my own business and also try to do my best with supporting local and keeping Australian dollars in Australia.

Everything I have bought over the years from Holman has been absolute rubbish. Retractable garden hoses, Timers for outside taps, brass tap fittings after being fooled they would last many years.

Brass multi function sprayer for the hose 6 months and it was stuffed.

Today my Holman galvanised metal watering can failed at the solder joint on the spout after 12 months of purchase (used about 10 times). Again, tried to not buy plastic invest in something I’d hope would last 5 years maybe more.

This is the last time I will be using anything Holman.

If Holman was held accountable for the trash they are pushing through the big green shed they would be long gone. Nobody is going to hold receipts for simple gardening items under $100 and for these reason when these rubbish product fail we just cop it.

Trash products preying on Australians trying to do the right thing buying locally.

I recently contacted the customer support team to enquire about buying a replacement sprayer handle. N'Dene got back to me quickly and sent out a replacement, along with a couple of other bits, which arrived a couple of days later. This was provided free of charge, fantastic service!

None of their products are fit for purpose. You are better off moving water around with a jug from the kitchen than relying on Holman. Their products are so bad you have to assume the business model is to produce garbage, flog a lot of it, and live with the complaints. Please don’t ever support this company.

If you're interested in garden lights, just keep in mind Holman's business is built around making sure lights do not connect together easily. They require large amounts of connectors and extra cables, which they sell to you for massive markups.

If for example you buy a light for $30, since the lights don't have an input and an output, you need to pay another $15 for a splitter, and another $20 for a 2m cable.

The price of your single $30 light is now $65 if you actually want to connect it to your system. There are massive markups of 500% or so on all cabling, as it uses propriety connectors which stop you from using cable from anyone else.

Avoid them at all cost. Iggiration controller completely broke after just a few years (about 5) for a brand new house, screen is not showing anything, timer’s not working. After contacting the company, all they could say was getting a new one. Do they really expect buyers to give them business again after experiencing such a poor quality product and no after sale service? What a joke. Avoid them if you want to save yourself some headaches from looking at a broken product without after sale service after 5 years (and being told to buy another new one from them).

I found Holman Industries had the best Stormwater Fittings range with many variants to suite most requirements. I also found their products to be robust, with a near perfect match and fit of all components. Pricing was highly competitive and overall, good value for money. Of all the companies I contacted directly for assistance, Holman Industries were the only company that reverted back to me timorously. From reception to their sales department to their technical advisors - they were exceptionally courteous, pleasant and more than willing to assist. Holman Industries offers a comprehensive range, have some really good products and are a great company to deal with - highly recommended.

Woeful service. Problem with jetting dripper hose which they suggested after being handed samples was clogging.their mis diagnosis meant 3 years of wasting water, in the end, an independent 5 minute check found the hose holes were missing their diaphragm. Clearly had no idea of the product.

I called Holman's with reference to an unknown brand of garden retractable hose reel. Theirs are wellbranded and markef.
Mine needed a worm gear belt drive. I had tried four other sites and been rejected rather quickly. Holman's went way beyond duty to accommodate me. Requesting photos and deciding the make and gave me a link to the site.
All this assistance was for a product they knew from the start was not theirs. That is old fashion service for you. Now I promise that if I need to buy a new one, it will definitely be a Holman

I bought 3pcs oscillating sprinklers from Bunnings and all of them just cannot oscillate even when I increase the water pressure. The gear just can’t click to turn. I tried calling Holman, they gave me the impression that they just can’t be bothered to improve their product quality.

I couldn't get an answer from whom I bought my sprinkler and the young lady at HOLMAN answered my question and ended up with a pleasant chuckle. Great to know it is an Australian Owned Company. Thanks Holman

Purchased a BTX8 retic controller.
I had some issues with the item so called Holman direct. Great customer service from Krys. After talking me through set up procedures, we finally decided to return the product and replace with a new one.
Thank you Krys, you were great.
(Unfortunately can’t say the same for the other lady that works there)

I have two irrigation controllers or my garden using a Water Wizz set of four solenoids joined straight onto the garden tap. I have replaced the solenoids a couple of times at Holman Industries directly. Today, I thought I was replacing the solenoids, but they saw that there was a leak in a molding, not a failed solenoid, and replaced it free. Merry Christmas to all at Holman Industries - you just made mine happier.

Not good enough!
I contacted Holman a few months ago, as my K-Rain Pro-S pop-up sprinklers had started to fail a few months prior. At about 4 years of age, this was within their stated '5 year warranty period' and the problem clearly was a failure in material, as the softer elastomer seal at the very top of the sprinkler, de-bonded from the rest of the seal assembly further down the shaft, thus remaining lodged around the very top of the sprinkler nozzle when it pops up, like a collar preventing the sprinkler from distributing water at all, resulting in dead areas of lawn.
The advice received from Holman Industries, was to dig all the sprinklers (20+ units) out of our front garden, and take them to Bunnings for assessment and possible replacement, something obviously requiring me to undertake a significant amount of work.
I chose not to do this and will deal with the sprinklers as they continue to fail, replacing them with another more reliable brand.
In my view, and as suggested to Holman, this could have been much better handled by simply providing me with replacement sprinkler seal assemblies, so all I would have had to do, was unscrew the top of the pop-up and replace the seal, much easier than having to replace the entire sprinkler assembly.
