I nearly got suspended in 2019. Good school except it might need more classrooms in order to not have as many mixed year group classes. The playground is a bit small but it gets the job done. I really liked the teachers. They all have great attitude.

As a student I think this is a great and friendly school. It is supported and very involved in the wider community. The teachers are all great and so organised. We have a great mix of young and mature, male and female teachers. We are closely associated with many activities around the neighbourhood such as ANZAC services, visiting Hollywood Hospital and Regis Nursing home.one of my highlights is tree planting in Hollywood Reserve every year.

Since our children (2 x boys) joined the school in pre-primary HPS has moved to Independent status.
Under the terrific leadership & direction of Ms McBeath and Ms McLagan, the amazingly engaged teachers, Board, administrators, P&C and the school community in general, we have been delighted to see our children flourish with our eldest now in his final year.

What is exciting for the remaining years of our youngest, is that the school will continue to push the boundaries to excel in education, preparing them in an inclusive and diverse primary school environment to tackle the challenges of high school and their lives beyond.

We moved to Hollywood Primary not knowing anyone or what to expect. This school has exceeded all my expectations. My children are thriving here. The teachers are some of the most caring I have met and use interesting and innovative teaching methods that successfully engage children of all types and personalities. I have three boys with very different needs and Hollywood has given my children confidence and a well rounded education with real opportunities in sport coding sailing languages music dance art specialized science swimming and so much more. My children come home each day filled with enthusiasm as they tell me what they have learnt. The children and parents are so welcoming and the grounds are peaceful and surrounded by lovely trees and greenery. The principals are forward thinking and super approachable with a fresh, no nonsense, results based and fun yet effective approach to school management. So glad we found this hidden gem!

I am thankful every day that my children have had the opportunity to attend Hollywood Primary School. The school in an incredibly inclusive, diverse and nurturing environment. My children's teachers over the last five years have made huge efforts to not only understand where my children are in respect of the curriculum, but also to engage my children to develop and excel in their areas of passion. Incredibly selflessly, their teachers have organised various clubs in their own time for students to participate in areas like coding, tennis, music and science. Parents even join in with swimming training, running, netball and soccer clubs set up. These clubs are my children's highlights each and every day of school. They are well planned, interesting and beyond anything I would expect for a primary school. This week my Year 1 son is coding a robot beetle and playing soccer, my daughter is playing in a school orchestra, having swimming training, building a volcano in science club and practising netball. The school is remarkably nurturing too and I have no doubt that my children's teachers would do anything for them. In the past few years, my son's teacher has taken time from her holidays to send him a photo on Christmas morning, showing that she had unwrapped the gift he gave her and thanking him. My daughter's teacher, hearing that she was having trouble sleeping during a stressful school period, offered to take phone calls at midnight from my daughter rato help her manage her concerns. Before coming to Hollywood Primary School I assumed it would be about learning the curriculum, but Hollywood it is much more. My children are thriving at Hollywood and learning extend themsleves, becoming caring indivduals and belonging to a wonderful community.

Fantastic school with a dedicated teaching team, a great sense of community, and who take in children from the adjacent hospitals' staff, residents at Ronald McDonald House and students at UWA.

Nice and friendly school! Very friendly to kids and parents and is willing to take ALL students. They use different but effective methods of teaching students which really does work! I would recommend this to all parents looking for a good school to take their kids to.

My son was studying there in 2015. Nice staff and good facilities. However, they have small swimming pool and there is no bus route close to this school
