Herdsman Lake Tavern

I was here for dinner with friends and we had a really nice night. My brisket was very nice and everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. The staff were very good. I love the playground that is in a separate space connected to the dining area.

Best pub for familys, and kids. Food is average but priced accordingly. Drinks are good. But just to have a meal in peace with the kids entertaining themselves is worth it. Most people in the pub are easy going, not bothered by kids being a bit noisy walking around.relaxed carefree environment.

Have frequented the tavern for lunch. Disappointed with the standard of food of late. Menu hadn't been changed in a while.

Not bad for a local pub but nothing fancy either. Pretty good deals in a relaxed environment. I ordered cheeseburger the other night but got served the veggie burger instead. They had the tennis on, which was good, but then antique road show came on and we asked them to switch it back, which they did. Good for an easy feed, relaxed service and nice carpet

The Herdie is one of my locals and I’ve been going there for years. Unfortunately the last few times I’ve eaten there it’s been quite disappointing. I had the squid salad and it was clearly a few days old. My partner had the cheeseburger and he could t finish it. It’s a shame as the Herdie had been a great place to go for a good meal in the past.

Went above and beyond to give us quality food, everything was cooked perfectly and the sticky date pudding will bring me back!

Local pub good for watching the footy and ufc. The $19 parma special Inc a pint is a cracking deal and always a good option.

Great pub. Nice food. Friendly helpful staff. 2 pool tables. $8 pints of 150 lashes beer. Huge $19 meals with a pint of beer. The parmi meal pictured. Also beautiful chicken pie meal for $18 pictured. Happy hour Mon to Fri from 5 till 6 and Bulmers cider comes down from $12.20 to $7 for Happy Hour. They also have a drive through bottleshop and a TAB. Restaurant on one side and public bar on the other side. Will be back.

Very spacious tavern.went at lunch time.food was a bit expensive but huge portions.chicken parmigiana did not disappoint.

Good food and an indoor playground for the kids.

Unfortunately, the Herdsman Lake Tavern rejected service to a customer today with a lawful mask exemption. I know this customer personally, so as much as the response in a previous review says they do serve those with exemptions, unfortunately on this occasion they did not! All staff and management need to know the laws around this, especially going forward with how things are in WA. Here are a few pointers to get you started on education: (picture attached)

Good solid feed. Hubby's parmy was good but I was a little disappointed with my steak burger steak was very dry. The air con was freezing. Staff were friendly and our wait for our meal was minimal. Will definitely give them another go.

The restaurant wasn’t busy however three times we had to go and ask for service for drinks and our food.

Disgraceful place that won’t serve people with medical exemptions for not wearing a mask. They need to understand that people are legally not required to show there medical information under the privacy act of 1968. Will not be going there or recommending to anyone

1st time visiting. Quite a nice, spacious dining area with kind prompt staff. Only down side is I'd open the windows to let fresh air in as it had a "closed" air smell and the lamb in the lamb salad was over cooked - something to chew on. The wedges were a huge portion and squid was really nice.
I would definitely go again.

Have been going to The Herdy for years. Went tonight and was turned away due to 'vaccine' requirements. Bye Herdy, local pizza shop is getting all of your business now.

A really good reliable place to eat. Good service, can be quite busy at lunch time.
One of the rare places to get the mouch sort after Cristmas plum pudding with proper custard, cream ice cream and a strawberry

Not too many pubs left in Perth like the Herdy! Great pub food at even better prices and an atmosphere that is welcoming to everyone

The Herdsman Lake Tavern is a place I visit regularly. The Manager Samantha and her team always ensure our experience is amazing. The food is great and table service is always very quick. I highly recommend the Mediterranean stack…absolutely delicious.

Have been sitting here for 30 mins after ordering only to question the waiter about the food and had excuses thrown at me for why we've been waiting here for a couple of parmies very disappointing service please train them more or staff more during busy times.
