Sadly, one of the worst experiences I’ve had in the medical industry here in WA
In a bid to help my mother both her and I can honestly say we’ve never been treated with such disrespect.

I was asked for feedback but the feedback page sent via an sms was wrong and non-existent. Hence, my reply here. I was very disappointed to just pick up an essential script for my heart condition. When I first spoke to Staff, I was not advised that it would cost me $20! That fee amount is substantial for a retired pensioner like me. This service should be free as (1) it would not have required any extra effort from admin: just print it off and get the GP to sign it for one second;and (2) I went there personally to pick it up. Surgeries like this unfairly make big money this way. Imagine $20 for just one script!

My wife attends a reputable surgery where a repeat prescription she needs is sent by mail, and she does not even have to pay for the stamp! So why does a surgery like
Herald Avenue Family Practice charge pensioners like me who are one of its regular clients? Not happy at all!

Highly recommend Dr. Gary Spirge & Dr. Ji Li Tan. Their professionalism often helps me and my family. I am really lucky to have these two doctors.

Dr Lim is a quality GP who is very professional and good at his job. He always has a smile on his face and is kind and affable. I recommend him to anyone wanting and is interested in a quality GP.

Have been suffering from an unknown illness for nearly a year. Dr Tan was my doctor it's been 7 months since I first saw him and still have the same issue. Desperate for an Endescopy he got me on the wating list - 4 months later still waiting! The doctor I'm seeing now says she can get me in for an Endescopy in just 2 weeks! He also prescribed me anti-acids three times even though I said they don't help and make me feel like I'm having a heart attack.
All you ask for is a doctor that can help you not make this more difficult. My illness could've been take care of a long time ago if doctor Tan knew what he was doing.

Listen. This is a local secret so I can’t tell you too much. Doctors great and reception staff and nurses great too. Five stars all round. (Haven’t died yet so definitely 5 stars)

Very convenient as doctors and dental are combined in the same building.

I highly recommend Dr Tan as a GP. I saw him today and he is prompt, professional and he listens. It wasn't just in and out with him and he took the time to listen to my issues, check my obs and then offer advice.

This family practice is a little gem. Dr Spurge is old school, straight to the point and well mannered. With all of these qualities he has become my new family doctor.

Have been here a few times to see different GPs, and the common issue is that they're always running around 30 min late, even if I call before coming in, they say they're on time. I once tried an appointment at 8.30am and they still managed to be almost 10min late to see me then as well. I'm trying to fit the a around my work and the extra wasted time is not appreciated.
The quality of diagnosis is ok. They're not really asking allot of follow up questions, so for something like my knee pain, I was prescribed allot of exercises and medication that actually made it worse. I had to go to a specialist for proper help, they didn't refer.

My first visit ever to Dr Garry Spurge and he is fantastic. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Doctor Spurge never sets himslf up as any sort of 'medical god' as so many doctors are apt to do. He'll take the time and explain what he's doing and why.

Dr Lim is a excellent GP. He is friendly, kind and very professional. I recommend him highly to anyone wanting a good GP.

Girls on reception polite and nothing to much trouble very helpful ladies. Dr gary couldn't wish for a better doctor. He explains things and very thorough.

Doctors Lim and Spurge are two of the sharpest and most compassionate GPs that I've ever experienced. A very big thanks to to team for taking such great care of our family.

I find both doctors to be genuine and caring with a good bedside manner. The nurse, Kylie, is absolutely wonderful. Very helpful, friendly and professional.

Dr Gary Spurge is an old style GP, tells it how it is without question. If you still have queries he will always take the time. He is intelligent, humourous but most of all he knows his medical knowledge and applies it. In the past 20 years he has performed minor surgury, stitches to myself, wife and kids plus my recent more serious medical conditions. Go with confidence.
