Henry White Oval campground reviews
17Just wanted to stay here for a one night stop over and swim at the lagoon. Way overpriced 2a 2k End up costing 67 dollars for a spot in an old bitumen car park including park entry. So not worth it
Stayed here for the night to see koalas. Lovely surroundings.
There are no powered sites but camp kitchen as power, so no probs.
Toilet/shower facilities great.
We loved this place. The shower room was clean and new, the kitchen was spacious, the campsites were huge, and best of all, there were kangaroos hopping around! We made booking in advance and received a pin code to enter the camp.
Sensational camp grounds. So close to Perth but with all the feels of a national park escape. We booked a grass site for our tent and were really impressed with size, privacy, access to everything you needed, and hugs by nature. Facilities are excellent. On site volunteers are magical in every way. Communal camp fire each evening. Kangaroos galore. Lots of bird life. Walks really accessible and accurately described. Especially loved the vegetation of the caves walks.
Fantastic campsite in a nature reserve with. Kangaroos on the grounds. In the park, koalas, caves, climbing forest, etc. A shelter with cooking facilities, spacious places. Fantastic
Lovely spot in the National Park. Good facilities, very clean. Hosts were very accomodating. Hard stand sites were great. Nice and big. There is an abundance of wildlife that hardly notices you are there. Inn and chocolate place is a must do.
We got here quite late and were pleasantly surprised to find the camp guides still up and pleased to see us. Lovely unpowered quiet campground just north of Perth - our ideal first stop in the way north after arriving from overseas in the afternoon. An easy walk to the nearby pub / restaurant. Very spacious sites - quiet and private.
Top spot for families, everyone really. No complaints whatsoever. Over stayed for 2 weeks:) everywhere else was full over Christmas period. Can't complain.
This spot is a hidden gem. Great spot close to Perth. Kids loved the koalas and kangaroos along with the Yanchep Lagoon and I was surprised by the Yanchep Inn. Even has caves to visit. Winning.
Probably a great place for family and who prefers loneliness and enjoy peaceful env. But for the friends and youngster not a proper place of choice to have fun and enjoy their weekend (we were not allowed to stay in the barbecue area after 10pm). However, seeing kangaroos near by our campsite was really amazing.
Rating is purely based on the campground host.
Neil specifically is a extremely grumpy mean and belittling old man, power hungry and abusive. He should never be in the position he is in, if we had planned to stay for more than one night we would’ve just left anyway rather than stay knowing Neil was there.
As for the actual camp grounds they are superb with amazing facilities! The ranger was great too she is very nice.
Inexpensive basic unpowered sites, showers, toilets cooking area with access to all of Yanchep national park. No pets and maximum stay of ten days.
If you are camping this is a must do NP camp ground. Just make sure you book on line in advance. Affordable, clean and tidy. Hot showers and toilets cleaned every day by on site caretakers. Central to all you need to do and more.
Living in nature's dreamland, with hot showers, beautiful modern facilities, and friendly knowledgeable camp hosts.
Enormous bays (no power or water) with tarmac buys for large caravans/motorhome helpful and friendly volunteer staff, very clean toilets/showers also LOADS of room in each. Camp kitchen again very clean and tidy and loads of room with 240v power, heaps of friendly wildlife very relaxing atmosphere. If you come for one night or more (max 7) I would highly recommend it
Awesome spot to camp for an overnighter, which we did! Was parked up on the carpark side but the oval spots looked nice too (would be muddy in winter though). The on-site Caretaker was very polite and helpful as well.
