I worked at Health Support Services as a Payroll Consultant for about 5 to 6 months. Would I ever want to return and work there, no I would not.

The induction and my first few weeks there were great, it did not start going downhill until I had been there for a few months. Was their favoritism in the workplace, yes. Even though I was in the training team, I was eventually forgotten about in favor of the newer trainees that came in after me, not their fault it is management’s fault. I was constantly asking for more training and support which was completely ignored by my Team Leader, I was even suggesting what kind of support would help me the most.

The Team Leader at one point humiliated me in front of the whole team during our daily morning Teams meeting for simply asking a question. I can 100% say that I did not receive anywhere near the support that others did. I eventually ended up having a meeting with the Manager of Payroll Operations and my Team Leader, I mentioned the lack of support I had received and then all the blame was put on me. They may tell you it is OK, and everyone learns differently, but they do not care about your development or developing you. They want to show you the bare minimum, hope you pick it up and throw you in the deep end.

If you get a job here, hopefully you will have a good Team Leader that will give you the help and support you need. After being told that I was completely to blame I made up my mind that I wanted to leave and this wasn’t the place for me. I ended up handing in my 4 weeks' notice, even though I was given the option to finish that day. A few weeks later, I did ask if I could stay a bit longer, but HR had already processed my termination. In the end I am glad I did not stick around as it was better for me and my mental health to leave, I would have only been staying for the money by this point.

From what I saw, this place seems to be a revolving door of staff.

Grateful for your professionalism and empathy towards our concerns and needs. The HSS team works hard for us nurses and medical staff to get paid fortnightly yet gets out of their hectic day to attend to other health staff concerns. Thank you HSS team most especially to Naomi and David for all your hard work. I am grateful for your exemplary service. Kudos HSS team. Keep up the good work!)

Would not work there ever again. Had a TL ask me if my "partner was supportive of me working" stand behind me and ask if I was stupid and then when I complained denied all responsibility. Add to that their customer service was appalling when dealing with pay queries

Lots of discrimination and favoritism in the work place and all policies and rules are put under the carpet especially by lower and middle level management. Top level knows this but close their eyes and ears. I have worked here, gone through and now I am out. Thank God.
