Happy Dragon Chinese Restaurant

I have no hesitation in calling this the best Chinese in Perth.
Have been coming here since I was a kid. Everything is fresh and full of flavour. And their satay beef is the best I’ve tried.

Went for my 30th birthday dinner last night, the staff went above and beyond by going out and buying the candles for my cake.
Everyone in the 10-person party had nothing but compliments about the food and service.
Not our first visit and won't be our last!

Ordered sweet & sour pork, never had it like this before. Not really any veges, not the normal capsicum and onion etc. Sauce tasted different. Pork came in a bag and sauce in a container.

Fantastic friendly staff, great price and delicious meals. Very nostalgic decor- just like the Chinese restaurants of my childhood.

Went for a family meal with a friend visiting from England and the food was Amazing!
We ordered 8 dishes special fried Rice, satay chicken, honey chicken, beef and black bean, sizzling beef, Szechuan chicken, fried vegetables and sweet and sour pork. Every dish was really tasty. The service was great even though the restaurant was pretty busy for a Wednesday night, we always had a waitress when we needed.
If I had one negative it's only that the restaurant closes at 9pm but they were vaccuming at 8.45 and we did feel a little rushed to leave dead on 9pm but we were ready to leave anyways.
As for the cost of the meal it was fantastic too just under $20 per head. Awesone Value.
I will definitely be returning for another delicious meal really soon.

Great food, when you order something it doesn't come out half filled with veggies, unless you ask for them. So when you order a meat dish it is mostly meat

Food is amazing, serving size is very generous and price is affordable. Dine in experience is great so long as you don't mind the decor!

Happy Dragon the name suits the restaurant because it makes me happy after a meal there. This is my go to restaurant for Chinese food. The dishes are tasty and big portions but priced just right. The beef just melts in your mouth. Quick service and friendly too.

On 2 occasions now this restaurant has cancelled our order 45mins - 1hr post ordering via Uber Eats. If you can’t deliver on what you promise take yourselves off the apps so your willing customers can go elsewhere. AVOID! A poor excuse of a business!

Sadly didn't enjoy, prawns didn't taste fresh and batter very soggy. Got combination
Rice noodles and just got pork bits, and 1 very small bit of chicken. Just disappointing all round.

Generous portions, very flavoursome. Had a dip 2 yrs ago but back to original quality. Still a family run and feeling to dining. Good job next generation. Big shoes to fill.

Doesnt taste anything but the gravy the food was bathing in. The meat was questionable while the seafood was very low quality. Disapointing and not worthy at all.

Last nights meal was A1 - we had 3 main courses and rice - Congrats to the chef - it was the best food we have had in a very long time. Everything was fresh light and tasty

Specified nut allergy, were assured no nuts in our order. Two in our party reacted to the food suggesting cross contamination. Otherwise good food

First time at Happy Dragon with friends and family to celebrate a birthday. Overall the consensus was food was nice and service was too. Complaints were-no prawn crackers served and Satay beef was quite skimpy on the meat and was mostly vegetables. I took home a take away for partner and son so asked for NO vegies in Satay based on table dish but still had an average serve of vegetables in it although not as much as dine in one did.

The best Chinese food in the area. Good servings, super tasty, fresh. Honey chicken is the best I’ve had! They never disappoint

We had our first takeaway at this restaurant tonight and all I can say is
Thre will be many more. Well Done.

Lovely staff. Lovely food. We ordered duck in plum sauce - boneless. Mei Goreng, fried rice. Beef black pepper sauce. We'll be back,

Shopping centre food hall Chinese food that's made for the Australian market. If you're a clueless Aussie who likes fatty, sugary meals with pre-made sauces, then you will probably think it's grouse, mate. If you're looking for something a bit healthier, fresher and more authentic, forget about it. You won't find it here. On the upside, friendly service.
