Hainault Vineyard and Cellar Door reviews
29Wonderful, small winery with excellent organic wines, in a picturesque location. Very friendly winemaker couple.
Hainault review
To Hainhault Vineyard,
Our condolences to the Hainhault team.
Monday 26 September 2022 will mark the end of the Mistelle restaurant and Hainhault vineyard partnership.
Over recent years Mistelle has paired your wines with their extraordinary cuisine and showcased your product. In doing so they have introduced the fruits of your hard earned labour to thousands of new customers.
I have no doubt this change is heartbreaking for you.
As a loyal Mistelle customer I wish to extend my sorrow to you and the team.

Lovely people and rather than the big wineries with huge finances to play with, this is a small family vineyard with absolutely excellent wines. Also home to an excellent French restaurant called 'Mistelle'.
Lyn and Michael were very welcoming, we thoroughly enjoyed their wines, their vegan platter and the venue. We will definitely visit again
Fantastic wines, such a nice surprise to find this winery while coming here for lunch. The vines were planted in the 70's which is quite old for the region. They had a great range of whites and reds to suit all our palates.
Great tasting wine, friendly staff and amazing views. This is a hidden gem less than a hour from the heart of Perth.
Great venue for wine tasting and lunch dedicated staff look after you. Picturesque spot with rolling hills.
Brilliant wine and fantastic cellar door. Lovely chatting to Lyn about their wine. A must visit!
Wonderful cellar door experience, great to chat to one of the owners, who took time to explain their (wonderful!) wine with us. Bought several bottles and will be back for more. The sem chard, sparkling (unfiltered in particular), cab sav and Pinot noir were real treats. Thank you!
Liked the previous ownership menu and atmosphere- overpriced charcuterie board. Both terrine and pate served as a blob on a board.
The location was a little bit in the middle of nowhere but boy was it worth it. The food was amazing and the service was fantastic. Can't wait to go back.
Menu isn't for me. Rabbit and duck. It is French based and make sure you book a week in advance as it's hard to get a table. Wine was the best part and the view hence why I gave a 3
Food at their restaurant Mistelle was amazing. I had the Confit duck and savoured every mouthful. Their Hainault white is also very tasty. Highly recommend this place.
Exquisite food and wine, lovely service, and a gorgeous view. Exactly what is needed for a long summer lunch!
Excellent wine. Food and service must picked up as we had great meals with very good service. Generous tasting on arrival
Really delicious food, very friendly and attentive service. We made an error with a gift voucher and they redeemed it anyway with a smile. Very impressed!
Firstly people, stop complaining about the dogs! It clearly states on the web site it is dog friendly and the owners have several dogs. If you don't like dogs don't bring your annoying children up there, perhaps people don't like children. Food and service is always good, so stop being so pretentious and enjoy the view and and the ambience.
We have been to Hainault several times but will not return after yesterday's lunch. Only three tables of people and yet still had poor service. When the food did eventually arrive it was a very very small portion and cold.
It was a cold rainy Sunday and we were put by the heater and offered a leg blanket so we were toasty warm. The staff were pleasant and we enjoyed the food. However we never received one round of drinks and our desert order was wrong, the young woman taking the order didn’t listen. The toilets aren’t for the elderly or people who aren’t steady on their feet (the ramp is slippery and the toilets were cramped portables). The view over the vineyard is lovely.
Our party of 5 arrived at 1pm, ordered our meals at about 1: 30. Entrees arrived 45 minutes later. Soup had to be sent back as it was cold. Mains weren’t served until after 3: 40pm! Other groups were walking out who weren’t happy about the extremely slow and inattentive service. We were offered a complimentary bottle of wine, though. Having the dogs walking through the restaurant was quaint at first, but then watching one of them up on a table eating the scraps was very off-putting.
