Guzman y Gomez - Ascot

Terrible meat, full of fat and grizzle. No taste to food, over priced. Avoid it and put something better in its place.

After a seemingly endless 20-minute wait for my food at Guzman y Gomez, I was met with a culinary catastrophe that left me questioning my life choices. As I eagerly anticipated my meal, little did I know that I was about to embark on a gastronomic journey.

Upon finally receiving my order, I was greeted with a plate of disappointment. The food had already succumbed to the chilly embrace of neglect. The Burito meat, purportedly the highlight of the meal, tasted more like a misguided attempt at recreating the unique flavor profile of Shredded South African Bull testicles. To say it was an acquired taste would be an understatement.

The cashier, who seemed more suited to starring in a reality show about customer service nightmares, added insult to injury. Not only did they manage to fumble the transaction by handing me the wrong change, but they also decided to enlighten me on the alleged carpentry skills of Abraham Lincoln. Attempting to correct the error, I dared to request the correct amount of change, only to be met with a disapproving glare. Apparently, my interest in accurate finances clashed with their passion for historical carpentry anecdotes.

To wash down the regrettable meal, I ordered a beverage that could only be described as a fresh scoop of Chernobyl's Nuclear waste. The drink tasted like a concoction brewed in the depths of a radioactive disaster zone, leaving me yearning for the days when my taste buds were blissfully ignorant.

I had an excellent experience at GYG! The food was delicious, fresh, and flavorful. The staff was friendly and provided quick service. I highly recommend trying their tacos and burritos—they were fantastic!

Food is awful here, I ordered a chicken cali burrito and was told there will be a wait for more chicken so I said the mushroom was okay. I got home and there was literally just rice and beans and over cooked mushrooms. No guacamole, or chips inside. I paid $17 for a bean rice and mushroom burrito. Service was okay but I won’t be coming here again.

Waited ages for burrito at lunch, by the time I got it, it was cold. Not the first time I've been disappointed by the food here, will wait until I start seeing good reviews before I come back

Terrible order taking, repeated order 7* and still fkd it up.

Soggy burrito, wrong fillings, I suspect they reused an old order, it was disgusting, soggy chips instead of rice, soggy tortilla instead of fresh, soggy pico de gallo, and no pickled jalapeno, the only part they got right was spicy pulled pork.

I provided official feedback including my receipt and they said (rather than addressing my concerns about health and safety, or awful service) according to your receipt it appears you ordered xyz. It was not what I said, nor what they repeated back to me after someone less useless took over the order during drive through. And customer service only conflagrating things further by implying my own incompetence or dishonesty is super disappointing.

Normally I love these guys, this is the first time I've been so overwhelmingly disappointed.

Sadly I drove 10mins home and had kids to put to bed or would have gone to express personal dissatisfaction

0/10 worst burrito I've ever had, including those made by small children.

Gave two stars for food because the other burrito from order were as ordered.

I love eating in here and take-away. The staff is kind and friendly. I recommend them. Nice atmosphere, and there is the best in Perth

I just bought nachos today, and they didn't put the cheese on. The taste was average and the costumer service bad. I ordered it through the app, I waited 20 min to pick it up and still I had to wait 10 more minutes for the food.

Went for lunch with a work mate Thursday and was amazed at the service and vibe instore. Even asked the young lady’s name who was creating it all ‘Katy’ was her name!
Keep hold of this person she is an asset!

First time eating at Guzman y Gomez - Ascot and loved it. Katy the Manager was so friendly, helpful and professional. The food was delicious and the service was very fast. The indoor and outdoor eating areas were nicely decorated and clean. The other staff were also friendly and full of smiles. I highly recommend the Cali burrito! Will definitely be returning.

I used to go to Zambero’s Ascot daily but have switched to Ascot GG the staff is friendly the store is clean and there was a nice atmosphere store! # make the switch to G&G

We went to this place for a quick lunch, and the service from Katy was the best we had ever seen in Perth. She is engaging, kind and professional and a great representative of GyG. My children had one of the best experiences. Thank you for your service, Katy & Sienna.

Awesome chicken Burrito, super tasty, great restaurant but… the shift leader was as miserable as sin, seriously, smile! 5pm Saturday

3rd time came back with wrong order when explain to girl at window she don’t want to listen.she has even to much attitude (Monday 1: 10)

Forever getting orders wrong, the only saving grace is that it’s a drive through. Go to Zambreros across the road if you want to get what you order

Ordering online and pick-up is the quickest and best way to go, the wait time after ordering was quick at about 13 minutes. And the food was awesome, ate every last bite, definitely recommend to anyone

Slow service every time. Employees don’t care. My Lawley GYG is a much better choice in every way compared to Ascot. Not coming back.

So lucky to have a GYG open near me. They have quickly become my go to fast food that I don't feel guilty about. Excellently run store; great team, with speedy and positive service always. Great vegetarian options.

I can categorically say that Katie is a wonderful manager and how she manages her team is of the highest quality… thank you very caring and making my unwell son feel just that little bit better Thankyou
