Guildford Fish & Chips

Best fish and chips I’ve had in ages and so glad it’s local. The fish is fresh and the batter is not too heavy or greasy. Great chips too. Worth travelling for if you don’t live local.

Best fish and chips in Perth. Fresh oil is used daily and portion size is massive. This has been my local for 3 years even though I moved away from this Suburb. Must try.

Us kiwis love fish and chips and we have lives here for 12 years - we have finally found somewhere that does a proper kiwi hot dog, both crumbed and battered snapper is amazing and the choice of chicken salt on your chips! Just wow, delicious! Thanks heaps for the mean feed

Just had fish and chips here for the first time. Very good, had the shark[×2] and $3 chips. Good feed, for wife and myself. 5km from where we live but worth the effort. Will b back.

A basic neighbourhood chippy, but WOW! What superb serving of battered hake and thumb size chips drizzled with salt and vinegar. Out of the world!

We absolutely love this place. Great chips, crunchy and clearly cooked in clean oil, the servings are always generous and the staff are always so nice.

Amazing fish and chips. Kiwi hot dogs great! And the chips with chicken salt so good. Perfect crunch and still fluffy in the middle. Get this weekly!

Just perfect. I got 2x fish and chips and squid rings and extra chips.

Reviews are meant to reflect the food quality and taste. Stores run by a lovely lady who makes your average fried fish n chips with very generous portions on the chips. However everyone else reviewing these western establishments must’ve been dropped on their heads multiple times if they think this is the best fish n chips shop in Perth (4.7 rated). It could be the best shop in the area, but these reviews need consistency. It’s your average fish n chips and I feel deserves and average rating of 3 (Feel bad rating it so low but it’s to cancel out all the 5* reviews that must’ve come from tongueless retirees). Once the fish is fresh, fried prawn tails fully skinned, lemon or sauce included I’d consider changing.

Hot and fresh. Hake was beautifully cooked and lightly battered. Slightly greasy, could have done with a bot more draining. Chips were fantastic and plentiful. Very generous serve.

Their slogan is "fresh, healthy and tasty". I went in knowing it wouldn't be healthy - it's fish and chips. When I saw the cook grab out some frozen bag fish I knew it wouldn't be fresh. Subsequently, not too tasty. Portions were good, but the fish was chewy and rubbery.

Was a bit hesitate on the appearance of the shop, but this is a classic example of "never judge a book by its cover". Chips are crispy and fluffy and the fish is pretty damn good. For $9 I can't fault it! Will return no doubt.

Always solid fish&chips and reasonably priced. It's great that the chips are not dripping in oil.

I have ordered fish & chips from this shop a few times and cant fault them. Food is Fresh and tasty. Fish is not slimey. Havent had any dramas so far.

Best fish and chips I've had for a long time. Fish and batter was cooked to perfection and the chips were crispy and fluffy inside.

Really good fish and chips! The fish was cooked perfectly, firm and fresh, the extras all as they should be, generous portions! Not greasy at all! The staff were very friendly, the prices were spot on, the shop is nice & clean and not stinking of oil like most others!
This review is really saying something as I'm not usually a fan of the old fish and chips! Recommend!

Fish cooked perfectly, chips perfect! All of it was perfect! Highly recommend.

Basic Fish and chip shop, BUT tge tast of the fish and chips, BUT the flavors and quantity is excellent

Consistently great Fish and Chips. Never oily, never greasy, never soggy. Always tasty fish and crispy chips.
