Guilderton Caravan Park reviews
75 Great little park and very clean amenities. I will definitely go again. They even let us set up our campers a little differently as we were a large group
Will be back
A lovely park. Basic but clean and tidy. A cafe/ chip shop and grocery shop at the entrance. Well stocked for its size. Booked out on the weekends with families and lots of kids doing their thing. Week days are quieter.
Sheltered river mouth (the Moore river) not open to the sea. A lovely long sandy sea front.
An excellent family park if you can get a spot.
Book early.
Really disappointed in the appearance of the park. Spent many stays here over the past 30 years and its the worst it's looked.
Camp site was a sand pit.
No green grass, not a sprinkler or lawn mower in site, stairs lights hanging off top of pole and dark when jids using stairs.
Water taps leaking and don't turn on.
In the 3 days there never laid eyes on a maintenance staff or cleaners.
Old caravan and equipment on the main drive in looks and now feels like a third rate facility.
Dam shame.
The cafe has reopened just today! It looks like it's going to be great - the gluten free hot chips were very welcome and the gluten free cookies. We hope there can be more gf options in the future. Staff as usual in the caravan park are great, a light was fixed almost immediately, and the chalet had just been cleaned.
The rooms are a little worn here and there but clean and perfectly serviceable.
Nice big apartment style room with 2 large bedrooms was great, and even though they normally need 2 nights we paid for just one thanks to the helpful staff. Pity we didn't have time to stay and check out the sights, will need to come back one day.
The vista is very pretty the wind is a nightmare the powered tent sites were full of sand and unfortunately for our stay there was no hot water. Staff are very friendly and gave us a credit on our account.hoping to review this in the future once all the works have been done.
Awesome view and close proximity to everything, especially the river mouth. Unfortunately some of the spots don’t have great drainage and can flood your tent.
Great caravan park right at the Moore River mouth. Very easy access to river with kayak or small boat. Great sites with good amenities. Only thing missing from a quint essential winter holiday would be if fire pits could be used.
I booked the caravan spot for my auntie and her partner, the lady Amanda was really friendly, provide all information that we need! If get chance, I will go there one day too!
Kids had a ball playing cricket on the big grassy area and the girl and guy at the desk went out of their way to get us sorted with the hired paddle boards and kayaks. Thanks for an awesome weekend
Went for a relaxing weekend but instead had to put up adult's discusting language and screaming children
Good place, weather was crazy but it was a rare occurrence to have such strong winds. Facilities and staff were very good.
Amazing! Friendly staff, clean facilities, great views and location. The kids thoroughly enjoyed our camping experience and I had warm showers and flushing toilets!
So windy, perhaps we should have waited for summer. Woke up to stunning view of the estuary! But had to leave because wind was damaging our tent and gazebo!
Park is in a great location and is popular, however, we stayed 3 nights (all payed for) and left on Sunday, while checking our account on Monday night we noticed that $57 had just been taken out from the park without our consent (yes this is breaking the law) many phone calls later, with the manager just refusing to communicate, they finally said they would refund the money.
So if you decide to stay there please keep a close eye on your account.
Update, 26 Oct still have not refunded our money. ️
A gorgeous well managed park. Booked over the phone which was so quick and easy. The lady I spoke to was super friendly and really cared about us having the best stay. Great staff and spotless amenities. Yes it's an older park but that gives it charm and what an amazing location. Cant be happier after a relaxing 5 days.
Nice park. Where the river meets the sea.if you are camping go down the back we chose the view and the wind was full on. The camp kitchen was big and lots of shade. With a fridge and kettle so very basic. The grounds are good. And the jetty was great to catch some little bream. And the ocean area and look out was superb, with a shallow area for kids to swim and kayak
Run down, overgrown & poorly cleaned. Over a busy long weekend no staff to be seen let alone cleaning bathrooms. No toiletpaper, rubbish in over flowing bins & in shower areas. Mop bucket to clean after you shower had black water in it.
Email said 'no mats' other people had theirs so shouldve ignored that & saved all the sand in my van! Concrete pads need re doing as theyre falling apart & no longer semi level. Awesome view made up for the park itself.
Guilderton itself is a lovely place to visit, the caravan park is quite dated, which isn't normally a problem however this past weekend we found the ablutions to be quite dirty, particularly the showers. We also paid for a powered site for our pop up camper, however, we were put with all the tents on an unpowered site at the top of the hill. We tried asking at the office if there were any other sites available and were told they were fully booked, despite that we saw available sites where we could of stayed the entire long weekend. Don't think the office staff have access to the booking system? Would go back if the facilities were updated. Washing machines and dryers take card which is handy
First time glamping and it was an incredible experience. Was a little hesitant but inside we were protected from the wind and the bed was very comfortable. The amenities provided were very lovely. Would even go as far to say, an upgrade from the chalet, which are always booked out anyway especially this time of year, and you don’t have to bring anything. Best of both worlds. Still used the amenity block but they were clean as well.
