Govinda's Hare Krishna Restaurant

My experience at govindas is like stepping into a divine temple of Lord Krishna, where my heart overflows with joy. Words can't do justice to the sheer delight I felt during my visit. It must have been truly magical!

I enjoy the colourful way they present the tasty 'soul? ' food.
Not as hectic as the Melbourne Hare Krishna up from Flinders St Rail

The food tasted pretty good, yet the charges were indeed much higher than expected. For example, a dish of fried tofu costs $25 when the market price for a box of tofu is only $4. Another example: a serving of stir-fried bok choy costs $15 while the market price is no more than $1. In an era of high interest rates, such overcharging restaurants will not last long. The fact that only half of the tables there were occupied last Saturday can be seen as proof of the failure of the restaurant's marketing strategy.

An absolute feast for just $8 for the evening meal. Hearty, nutritious and filling. Honestly can't think of a better deal around.

Delicious food in a calm, relaxed environment. I got the evening meal which was $7 and added a popadom! Amazing value. Will be back again!

Good decent nutrition food I had after such long time! Daal is superb. $9 for Lunch (11: 30 to 3: 30) and $7 (3: 30-7: 00) is not bad deal at all. 10/10 for the love.reminds me of home food for a moment

Was on the lookout for vegetarian food as I had recently moved to Perth and could not cook on most days. Can tell, I felt home Nutritious and affordable food and kind people.

Food looked and tasted awful, sloppish like. Maybe the dishes on the other days are an improvement but I cant imagine it to be much better than the Friday menu. We went in with high expectation based on the Govinda's restaurants we have been to in Wellington NZ, London UK and Durban, South Africa. Sadly mistaken. Durban beats it on the price and the food is amazing, plus it has the amazing temple. I don't think we will be going back.

Was introduced to this shop by a friend. Opted for the evening meal deal abt 7AUD. Didn't fancy having rice and asked the person across the counter if it's possible to have extra Pakora as a replacement for rice. He said he is good with it. While packing it up, i saw he only gave 1 Pakora. Didn't wanna ask it again from him. Didn't want him to think that I'm trying to tell him that he forgot abt giving me another Pakora.

Food overall was satisfying. Enjoyed every bit of it. Even the dessert was nice! Thx you and keep it up.

Every experience has been pleasant and the food always satisfying. Even after 10 years. It's consistent, delicious dietary conscious and affordable.

Absolutely amazing deal for $7. Got the evening meal for dine in. People who are commenting that the food isn't tasty or bland don't know that the food is supposed to be simple and nutritious, which it is. Loved the halwa a lot. The dal was tasty too. Pure veg for $7 is not a deal but a steal! Will surely visit again.

A welcome break from a lot of dining experiences, especially on the vegetarian / vegan side. No pretense, just food the way it should be: simple, hearty, healthy, tasty, and quick!

Will always pick up a vege combo takeaway after 3: 30 if I’m walking past this area. Food is always full of flavor & very fresh!

Had the evening meal dine in. Best value going around Perth. The quality of the food is also amazing. Always stopping by for some curry and rice.

I love their vegetarian dishes, it’s so rich and delicious. You can get a 3 course meal for a price of only 9-$11, first course is a vegetarian curry with rice, vegetables and samosa if desired, second course you get a rose water lassi which is so so good and is very cooling, thirdly for dessert, there is halva with custard

Very tasty and low price lacto vegetarian and vegan meals especially after 3: 30pm Evening Meal for 6$ takeaway, our favorite.
