Bad service when i wanted to seat up stairs to work in my laptop quietly they said up stairs is closed rude service as well non staff smile all looks moody and unhappy and rude with customers never going back

I had the pancakes and it was really good. It was nice to have fluffy pancakes with a little crisp around the top. Would definitely go back again.

Not enough food. Honestly the portion sizes here are a joke now. $30 for a “salad” with less than a few leaves. Place has gone extremely downhill. Last visit was the same portion sizes are a joke.

Good service, great coffee, enjoyable food.

Atmosphere a little low during the breakfast slot.

Couldn’t fault a single thing in our brunch experience today. Love the airy rustic feel of the place and the staff were friendly. Couldn’t believe how quickly food arrived! Coffee was great and it was the best salmon benny I have had to date. Really enjoyed the whole experience thank you!

Coffee was nice, staff was busy but not too much to not bring tap water to the table.
I had a croissant with jam and, personally, I would have appreciated if it was served already sliced.

I Chose GSG for my birthday lunch after being impressed with a quite a few work meetings here. Booked a week out but then realized we wanted the breakfast menu to work better with some of our budgets. Could not get through on there phone at all to adjust my booking. Refused any of the breakfast menu for us. They are NOT child friendly at all, yet I don't think they claim to be. They could not supply a paper copy of the receipt so we could sort out payments and they refused cash. The entire ordeal was stressful and disappointing. Unfortunately they have a lost a long time work clients as they couldn't cater for my family event. Simple lack of customer service.

Great new fresh and funky feel about this place. Nice and easy to park in front or around the block. Good coffee and nice food.

I use to really like Gordon St Garage. Now scrambled eggs on toast is one piece of toast with eggs on for $16! See photo.t And the lettuce you see on my coffee saucer was on the plate. I assume trying to hide how silly the little helping was. Anyway who wants lettuce with that!? Maybe you get more value if you order more. Walked out feeling like someone went through my pockets.

Located just on the outskirts on CBD, near the exit of highway.

Great for work meeting catch ups and to grab a bite if you are out of office.

Only qualm is finding parking as it can be a bit competitive with limited spots.

Friday breakfast and only 6 tables occupied, compared to last time which was always full. Can see why. Too expensive and too little on the plate. Scrambled eggs and small dry toast (asked for it to be buttered, as getting sick of places too lazy to butter toast, turned up no butter), asked for butter again only to be given tiny cube. A joke surely. Small egg and toast $16, added bacon price not available on menu, and received 2 small pieces of over cooked bacon for an extra $6. Anyway for 3 people with coffee, one person only had Granola, and $74 bill! Never again. Joint across the road was full, with reason I think.

Great food, plenty of vegetarian options. House made lemonade was delish will definitely return for lunch or dinner

Lunch. Slightly greasy lambburger awesome chunky chips. Cool place but a bit on the pricey side.

Really liked the decoration, the ambience and the general vibe of the place. However, the food here is way overpriced, sure food and coffee was good but nothing special as it's just cafe style food but the problem with that it's that it's significantly more expensive than other cafes and portions are small for what you're paying. Seriously, $25 for eggs with 2 strips of bacon, 1 sausage with a piece of bread and a few cherry tomatoes is just insane.

Lovely venue. Staff were friendly & efficient. Only had a dirty chai as I was there for a meeting. Table was removed enough from other patrons for us to speak freely.

Decor was nice. Cool place. Very disappointed about food, service and staff. Paid $16 for 3 croquettes that were smaller then a golf ball. I was hungry when I got there as and certainly not full when I left.over priced. They were tasty but need to be much bigger for $16.

All but one staff were a bit snobby and not very warm and welcoming. It seem to much trouble to find us a seat.even though there was no one there. That told us not too book because we "might not be eating dinner" but made seating difficult when we arrived. I kind of felt we were in their way and uncomfortable to be there. Overall, it was a nice place but not worth the price and would be better with more friendly staff.

I’ve been before and quite liked this place. This time it was pretty average. Our coffee was ordered before our food and arrived when we had almost finished eating - that is quite a wait! The food was fine but pretty flavorless. I had the beetroot cured salmon and omelette. The salmon and salad was great but the omelette and sauce didn’t go well.

Popped in for a lunch with some colleagues and really enjoyed the Gordon Street Garage. It's in a great location, light, airy and relaxing. Great food choices on the menu; the miso pumpkin was especially good. If you're looking for a casual catch-up location with great food, drinks and super friendly staff be sure to drop in, I'll definately be heading back!

The meal was pretty good good. Speckled emperor is local and respected. Sadly the beans were overcooked, the rocket sad, and the puree as unseasoned as a rookie eagle (local footy reference). $40 deserves a little better effort, even in a town where $40 is what a FIFO worker gets per 27 seconds.
The brekkie was pretty good, at the pointy priced end. The coffee was even acceptable, albeit as foamy as the dishwasher when an 8yo decides how much powder to put in.
The cinnamon bun was a huge let down. More cake orientated than the stretchy yum of pure yeast work, and with sugar as dominant over cinnamon, as China is over Tibet.
But the place deserves your trust.

I've been here a couple of times and while I absolutely love the interior design and find it great to chill or use the laptop, I've been disappointed about the rest in terms of service and food (if there was a 3.5 I'd give that).

I had to wait 15 minutes to be served and while I got served a decent flat white (as I was deciding what to eat). I then had to wait another 20 minutes for the waitress to notice I hadn't ordered food. I opted for truffle with eggs and toasted sourdough. I felt the portion was too small given the premium price but also the eggs were too salty.

I'll probably be back, though probably only for coffee and cake.and to get work done. Nonetheless it's a very popular place for meetings especially for early mornings.
