Getting out of a “no lock-in contract” (4 weeks notice) is more difficult than escaping the jaws of a crocodile. Despite paying extra a month for this “freedom”, upon requesting confirmation I was cancelling, they gave 10 reasons why it just isn’t possible right now. The soulless female receptionist and the male sales “PT” even tried luring me into “just signing” the bottom of a new empty membership form at one point, and told me to trust them to fill out the rest. Whether it’s the way they’re trained by head office or just pure greed on membership commission, these behaviours need to be investigated to the standards of Australian commercial law.
There are so many better gyms nearby, one’s without fake and ugly predatory gatekeepers

Dont let you cancel, dont respond to emails, shady business and awful staff that dont care.watch out.

Went in and canceled due to moving got told was all done nothing more I had to do. Month and a half later payments still were coming out had to get my brother to ring up as no long in the country and they said they have no record of it and would have to start the cancelation from that date and would be another 30 days

Love the butler Goodlife gym. Can’t fault it. The team at reform Pilates are amazing and always further challenging making it very personalised. Also all of the other group classes are amazing with energetic instructors aswell. Cannot fault! Special shout out to Donna from reform Pilates for such a great class:)

Good light upright exercises as requested by my team from Dizziness Clinic - Sophie.

Connor was very obliging of my request for modified exercises.

I can not fault their customer service to an older client and also their consistent patience.

Only started a couple of weeks ago and I Can’t fault anything for now.
Large spaces and new machines.
Classes and PTs available.
Sauna for males and sauna for females.
24hours and only busy at peak times.
A couple of machines have been “out of order” since I started and I hope they gonna fix it soon.

Gym is okay has a lot of equipment- the thing that I hate is the sauna is never hot enough, the temperature is always below the correct temperature it should be.and the staff just don’t care about it. Other good life gyms have the Saunas at the correct temperature but not Joondalup it’s very annoying.

###Beware### I tried to cancel my membership on a number of occasions but they still sent my account to a debt collector! Be very aware of the under handed tactics. This gym is the lowest of the low. I would have given NO stars if possible. Needless to say I will never return!

Watch out for this interesting marketing tactic. Recently re-joined Goodlife, went through the online process, received the contract and direct debit information, and was waiting for the email verification so I could access my login pass. The email was conveniently sent exactly 24hrs after the cooling off period ended. Coincidence? Probably not after reading the rest of the reviews. Emailed during the week to help with the problem, got no response. Had to take time of work and visit in person to get my pass for entry. This is a mixed review, love the gym, great location and equipment is excellent but that tactic is a joke.

Amazing and modern facilities and equipment. Been going to the gym here now for a couple of years, love it, and also doing personal training. Achieving great results with my personal trainer. Just really miss having the crèche there!

Very friendly and approachable staff and always happy to help with any questions.
Equipment is generally in very good condition and facilities are really clean.
Generally not a meathead convention and those that go there are a pretty friendly bunch

Spent 30 mins waiting on the phone to cancel my gym membership. I wasn’t contacted that my minimum term was up. They just automatically renewed my membership. Then was told I’ll still be charged for a month following the cancellation of my gym membership.

Wanted to pause my account so I could catch up would not let me now keeps charging me even tho I can not go and my contact has finished not worth it at all

I was unable to continue going to the gym for personal reasons, so I cancelled my membership, to only find out later that they continue to charge you for a further month. So from the date you cancel, you've already paid for a month, and then you are forced to pay for an other month, that's 2 months of membership from when I cancelled that I can't use

I have never seen such a dishonest organisation in my life. In April 2021 I was talked into suspending my account with “no attached costs”, I wanted to cancel in April. The girl in which we were speaking to stated that the account would not resume unless I said otherwise and if I wanted to cancel after the suspension period there would also be no cost. However, after looking at my bank account, not only was I being charged during the suspension period, it had automatically resumed! I was paying for a service that I was no longer using. Furthermore, I had to literally fight to get my money back (not all has been recovered) just to be told I still have to pay 2x $40 payments to cancel my account. We are considering taking legal action against Goodlife for misleading customers and unfair contract terms that disadvantage one party for terminating a contract in accordance with the ACCC guidelines. Disgraceful.

Just joined, very clear when signing up that cancellation fees exist, a months membership is required if cancelling (standard with ALL gyms I’ve been a member at)! Really good facility, friendly, clean and super convenient in terms of location!
