Good Sammy reviews
15Excellent experience in store today. Wonderful customer service. Friendly atmosphere and you can still find one of a kind bargains!
Updated review.
Was there on Saturday (November) and was served by a woman who did not ask if I had a customer loyalty card. As a result I forgot until the transaction had been processed. I asked her to stamp my card as I could no longer use the discount I was eligible for. She had to call the manager for permission. The manager rudely said "What do you want? ". I said I just wanted my card stamped. There is not much point in having a loyalty card when you are treated with contempt when you want to use it.
This is a great op shop and normally my shopping experience is positive. However on two occasions I have been served by a young woman at the counter who has used this interaction to complain loudly about previous customers and other staff members. She complains about perfectly normal things like a customer looking at a new item that has just come in, or a staff member walking around the floor. Her tone is very negative and I find it very off-putting. I would encourage the store manager to take more notice of what counter staff are saying to customers, as I find these unwarranted complaints quite unpleasant and they ruin what is otherwise a great experience.
They have a really vile, nasty woman who works there on Sundays. She is elderly with orange hair. I found a soiled backpack in the shop for $27. I asked her she would reduce the price a little bit in case the brown and orange soiled areas could not be cleaned. She replied that she could not alter the price and that is the chance that you take. But charity shops are not casinos. People do not go there for games of chance. If the stains and general soiling could not be remedied then the backpack was only fit for the dumpster: Her attitude seemed far more corporate, than charitable. But this was only one instance of many unpleasant encounters that I have had with that woman. Sometimes charities get volunteers who harbor bigoted, resentful attitudes and volunteering enables them to inflict those tendencies upon the public with impunity. I have gone to this Good Sammy for a few years now and it has had some really unpleasant types. Very rarely do I find those sort of volunteers (or paid staff) at St Vinnies or the Salvos. It makes me wonder what kind of culture is nurtured in a place like Good Sammy Inglewood such that it produces a disproportionate amount of vicious people? All you expect from a shop is basic respect and professionalism. That can oftentimes be hard to find at this shop.
Recently, they replaced the manager. The current manager is so much better than the last one. It is like a different place.
It’s worth having a look. You never know what you will find as the clothes, shoes etc change all the time. The staff are friendly and the prices are cheap.
This is a great Good Sammys in a very convenient location especially if you take public transport as the bus stop is right in front on Beaufort Street. The prices are good and the selection is always changing. Love it!
Fantastic! Huge, quality range of ANYTHING you're looking for. Fantastic books. Could've looked around in there for hours.
Love coming here. Some things are over priced. Every now and then you may be lucky to find a bargain.
Massive store has an exceptional amount of clothing mainly bridal ball etc I had parking right outside the door and made it so much easier for me. I would recommend sammys mt lawley to everyone
Always good for a browse and one occasionally finds the odd bargain. Well done to the staff who organise and run it all. Well done!
One of the best Charity shops in Perth. Lots to choose from such as shoes, books, jeans, shirts and jackets. The staff are really nice and they have great pricing.
One of my very favourite op shops on earth, and I’ve been to mannny countries. It’s just the perfect amount of variety, quality, pricing and space. To shop happily with no crowding. I love this place and always recommend it.
There is a lot of stuff inside this store and prices are good on most items. Large selection of clothes including shoes and accessories. Bric-a-brac can be boring but at times you can get a good piece, I've found some nice vintage items and they have a good selection of kitchen items. Really good location with great public transport within metres of the door.
Used to have quality stuff and was very well organised when it opened in mount Lawley. Now things are just meh.
