Golden Castle Chinese Restaurant

We having tour from Singapore to Perth. This restaurant introduced by friends it was a Great location and delicious food. Amazing dinner with family and friends.

For takeaway they get five stars. Even if you do decide to dine in they use tablecloths and serve a very nice tea. The customer service is excellent

We had high expectations of this place because of the 4.5 reviews, and because we love chinese food. Don't be fooled.

We were massively disappointed. Very small restaurant, not homely as I saw one description, cheap fixtures and fittings, un-clean glasses and tableware and no air con at 6pm after a 40 degree day. They did have the door open though!

As for the food, very bland and not what we were expecting. In fact, with 4.5 stars reviews we were blown away! A big sign for me of a cheap Chinese restaurant, is when they put celery in all the main dishes, I hate it. Its a cheap vegetable that goes a long way, but is false economy if you want a good reputation.

In conclusion, we were the only ones eating there so the service was OK. Oh and because there was no air con I had to take a shower when I got home!

Needless to say, I would stear clear.

Most delicious fried ice cream and chilli beef! They even threw in a few fortune cookies for free. The people were really nice and welcoming.

The food is your typical suburban Chinese restaurant with nothing outstanding on the menu
We ordered recently a takeaway and this order was by far the worst
Sweet & Sour Fish no it should be called Sweet and Sour batter.
No fish to be seen and a pathetic red sauce ment to be sweet and sour sauce
is the same as the dipping sauce for spring rolls
Sweet and sour sauce is accompanied by pineapple pieces, pickled cucumber and carrot not just a fake red sauce
Vegie omelette was ok
Beef ginger and Shallots
Ask for no onion it had onion meat portion was exceptable but the flavour was lacking any taste it's as if Ken has given up on the restaurant and just does not care.
We can not tollerate MSG or any other additive anyway a good cook should be able to creat flavour without inhancers
We unfortuately have complained one too many times and nothing has been done.
Not in this order but in a previous order we were served stuck together half cooked wontons in a short soup
Honestly this used to be a restaurant that had pride in its cooking but not anymore
We hardly use this place now due to the arwfull food.
In our opinion there is too much competion to take short cuts around the area so we will give this place a big NAH

There food is just awesome On another level!
Egg vegetables omelettes and chickenommelettes special fried is just so delicious and tasty!

Have been enjoying Connie and Ken's cooking for 26 years.it has really dropped in quality since there move from across the road. And not just over the las couple of orders. The omelette no longer has a sauce, curry beef and beef chow mien very dry with a slight smell that suggests it was reheated. The price went up with the cost of living but the quality went down.would be surprised if there still in business in 12 months time. Sorry guys but for me the journey is over.

Over an hour wait for food for takeaway when told it was going to be 20 minutes.

Once we got home (5min drive), all foods were cold and deep fried food were cold and soggy.

So disappointed.

Very tasty food that was a pleasure to eat, I felt great afterwards too. Would highly recommend.

How this restaurant has 4.5 stars is a joke.
Dirty table cloths, food was bland and tasteless basically cold, customer service hovers arnd the table, teenagers at the front desk laughing and joking so unprofessional.
This has to be the worst place I've ever dined in at. Horrible!

I can normally eat anything but I got Mongolian lamb and garlic beef and it tasted terrible won’t be going back

I visit the restaurant several times and tried different dishes. Their dishes are always fresh and great. The staffs here are very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant environment is beautiful, I love their painting on the wall very much. Definitely I will recommend it to all my contacts.

Can't speak highly enough of this restaurant. Connie and Ken are wonderful people who prepare absolutely delicious food food at the right price. Dine in and take away is available.

Welcoming owner, good food, good service and reasonable prices. Had the vegetable spring rolls which were large and tasty.
