Golden Bakery

I've had a few pies here 1) cheese and bacon 2) steak and kidney and 3) steak and mushroom. I rate the pies highly, they are plump with filling, have a nice crumbly crisp pastry from top to bottom and are kept/served at a perfect temperature for eating (which for me is almost too hot when you start eating, but quickly becomes nice enough to wolf down with an iced coffee chaser).

I've also eaten a chicken burger from here which was pretty average; it was very fresh (salad and bread) though a lot of crumb around very thin chicken. That isn't necessarily indicative of bad quality, just not my personal preference. I like the chicken to be the star in a "chicken burger" as much as I would like crumbs to be the star in a "crumb burger".

Appears to be a popular bakery with lots of sweet options too that appear to be fresh and appetising.

I would recommend this as a bakery that will likely stock whatever you are looking for at a reasonable price. Overall quality is medium to high and importantly, it's consistent. Worth a look and worthy of a chance to treat yourself.

Well worth a visit some of the best pies and pasties in Perth. Good sizes and good value. Very popular at lunchtime.

Pie was great but Asian lady was cold, rigid with no customer focused approach. I would move her to the storeroom. Rude!

Pie was pretty stale and hard at the bottom, filling was generic, female staff was emotionless. Not sure how this place is rated so high, I give it a 6/10, prefer other lunch bakeries.

Love fresh baked goods some pies are just old and filled with air, the pies from here are full with fillings

Omg this place has the best food heaps of variety pies that are gorgeous. I luv the potato top vege pie & small spinach quiches. Cakes. Staff will make you a roll with everything you want in it. Egg Cheese fresh salad meat. Drinks.

Tasty and fresh food - great for quick on-the-run food and not really for sitting down for a proper meal.

Friendly service and good products. Nice to sit outside under the shade, and could practic training an Assistance dog too.

I delivered certain items to this bakery and got to see the whole operation. It was fascinating seeing them making the pies and sausage rolls on a large scale. I decided to definitely buy and try a pie, as the whole operation seems clean and consistent. They offered me one for free while I was loading! Great staff and great pies!?

Good place to pick-up lunch.
Good choice of back goods, pies, sausage rolls. Several flavours which for the ones I have tasted were well flavoured. Chilli Pie could do with a bit more chilli, but this is personal choice.
Have single serve cakes & other sweets.
Staff were efficient and friendly.
Parking is tight and hard when busy but is free.
One ACROD permit bay right in front of doors. Access goods for mobility impaired except for Manual door.
Some seats and tables outside at front.

10/2/22: I've been going here for lunch for years. Easy to jump off of and onto the Freeway. Always good food. Pies, Pasties, Sausage Rolls as well as the fresh continental rolls and cakes are all good. I tried the Breakfast pie for the first time and it is a meal by itself, very tasty and very filling. It used to be absolutely flat out at lunch time but this time it was quiet, probably because of the times. This is a good reliable and reasonably priced place to get lunch in Osborne Park.

Always my go to place for office meetings or meetup with family & friends. There are lots of yummy varieties of pastries.

Update: called in around August 2021. To be be fair, it was well after the lunch period, but seemed to be nothing ready cooked and hardly any staff. Wondered if it was under new ownership? May have just been the time I went in.

Original review: Incredible! I've been popping in here for the last 5 yrs, not often as I don't live close, but the food and service is outstanding. Yummy old style pies etc, hot chips, they custom make sandwiches & rolls with a large fresh selection of salads. Dropped in this morning for a late breakfast with my son. We ordered a bacon & egg sandwich which they made fresh for us, and was really yummy. The staff are highly efficient, calling out 'next' to serve people quickly, and very polite & friendly. My mouth waters every time I walk in. Well done to all the staff! It's rare to find a food place that is consistently good

I have been here a couple of years ago and had the best pie. It wasn't to be today. I had a beef and onion pie and my husband a spinach sausage roll. The pie was like a cheap supermarket type and the sausage roll was stale and both just warm. Disappointed!

This Bakery does some pretty amazing pies and sausage rolls. I went to bacon heaven today trying their beef cheese and bacon pie. And their samosas are among the best I've had.
Yet to try their rolls and other goods but I highly recommend. The prices may seem a touch steep but their pies are huge so it's actually good value!

My review is based on pies alone as that's all I've tried and they are awful. Price is ok but pie, yuk, loaded with gristle.

What do I say the foods and sweets will tell for themselves in this shop, outstanding perfection, freshness, clean, burgers are very fresh.
Friendly staff, extremely reasonable prices.
Would highly recommend.

Stopped by here on my way home as I always see how busy it is on weekends. I got a beef pie and a bee sting pastry. Pie was good. Tasted fine but I have had better. Bing sting was fantastic would give that a 5/5

Incredible pie and vietbamese spring roll.
Make sure that you ask for a copy of receipt if you are paying with credit card as they have overcharged me a few times
