5My Aunty had called to book over the phone because me and my girlfriend had tried booking everywhere but no where had availability, she had the wikicamps app and found this place. When she called she was told we could possibly stay, when my Aunty asked why possibly, the owner said she needed to know our plans for New Year’s Eve first… We changed dates to arrive the day after and she accepted. When we arrived she told us that she told my Aunty we couldn’t stay. She then read her text message from my Aunty and must have seen her text clearly saying we could stay. She said that because my Aunty booked for me and my girlfriend she would not normally allow us to stay… She continued to repeatedly tell us how dodgy it was that my Aunty booked for us as we just stood stunned by how irrational she was being, even though she knew someone else had booked for us. I was so close to just leaving there and then, even though at that time we had no other accommodation. Because when you book a camp site you don’t anticipate something like this happening. A couple of hours into our stay while me and my girlfriend were cooking dinner and quietly playing Uno her husband came over to check up on us… that was it. We left the very next day as we did not feel comfortable being there…
Hot showers and clean toilets in an open rural setting. Friendly and helpful manager.
Great caravan/campsite. Plenty of space & not overcrowded. Good clean amenities provided. Don't bring your own pets please. Plenty of natural wildlife to enjoy instead.
Best to phone ahead before arriving. Thanks Jason & Cherie
Only shower & toilet, no more facilities. You cannot use the common areas (table, toilet & shower) between 10-12am because it's cleaning time. No trash collection, you need to take by yourself. Basically you feel you are living on the backyard of the owner, more than in a campsite. No cooking facilities, no trash, and only 4 socket to charge your stuff, so usually full. Be sure you get there before 6pm, owner needs to see you and only takes CASH. We didn't feel any comfortable (not even allowed us to drink water) so if you can afford, would recommend something better ;)
