9No frills restaurant cooking up homestyle Chinese food that isn't greasy.healthy-ish and under $10 lunch settled. I got the roasted chicken rice without any sauce and it goes well with the chilli sauce.
Pretty decent food here to fill the gap, cheap eats! You get what you pay for, a main meal, a side and a drink will set you back about $11.
I like the fact that you help yourself to the chopped chilli is a nice touch.
Value for money. Great tasting meal. Plenty of variety.
Meal size is small but excellent value.
Great easy feed.the only thing that frustrates me is the opening times and the food availability PLEASE CHANGE
This place was a dive! For the first time ever, I was told to clean my own table as I waited for my order to arrive. They were 'busy'. So hire more staff, right? Food was very average, ideal if you're on a budget and looking for something cheap and cheerful. Food is not very authentic! There are several places close by eg Ipoh Garden Restaurant with better variety, quality and presentation of food.
Their BBQ chicken fried rice is the most popular dish. Also fried rice with teriyaki chicken is great. For Just $6.50 in takeaway container you can also dine in. Fish balls, crab claws and spring rolls go well with the fried rice. Busy in the afternoon.
Nothing to ring the bell here. They do what they say sell chicken and rice. Not sure why it's famous its just average. Bit like a truck stop restaurant if your looking for bling you need to go somewhere else.
Cluggy tasteless rice not the loose oriental Basmati rice expected. - absolutely minimal chicken pieces. Not that fresh or tender but toughish - no authentic spicy homemade chilli sauce as found in all Hawker cafes in Singapore and Malaysia style. The various dishes stored for pick up in pre-cooked takeaway plastic containers - not plates. Disappointing. My wife later had indigestion lasting hours. On the plus side - cheap. Friendly service with a smile.
I'm not really one to comment on a food outlet, but I've been very lucky to have eaten at G-Fun. Their food is nostalgic and absolutely delicious. The prices and portion of their food is a bench mark on how some food retailers should operate. Their value for money prices means that from a school student to someone living on a budget could afford to eat them on a daily basis. Their low price isn't a sacrifice for quality or taste. It just shows to all of us that sometimes money isn't as important as someone having a wholesome and healthy meal for a decent price. Thank you G-fun Cafe for looking out for the community. Much love
