Gami Chicken & Beer reviews
73Servers are very rude. Facial expression and body language are terrible. Makes you feel unwelcomed to the place. Trying to call them to ask for plate and cutlery but they are avoiding eye contact. Food is okay
The food was nice but the overall place needs a good scrub. The floor is sticky and the tables are wobbly and sticky.
The food has gotten so good I couldn’t not leave a 5star review. Chicken and fries were super fresh and generously sized.
The service here is way too terrible. We went there for a lunch, no one care to help to get the table or even show us where to get tap water. The waitress's attitude was unacceptable and very rude, ignored us all the time. Terrible experience.
Average Chicken! Make sure you ask for extra sauce to with the chicken. My friends say the Soju is lit. I can't comment as I don't drink. Maybe non alcoholic Soju would be cool!
Bland, oily wings that’s far from crispy. Disappointingly dull atmosphere with a service crew that want you to leave asap. Not a fan of this place
Awesome chicken, reasonable prices. The service however was very slow, one of our party ended up having to leave before the food arrived. Beer also not very cold. Food was still good but sadly service not so good.
A waitress who is looking at her smartphone without greeting a customer. They don't think taking orders and just watching SNS. The owner doesn't take care of the employees at all. I'm confident this store will go out of business within a year.
First time I've had Korean food and it was ridiculously good. The cheesy corn was one of the nicest entrees I've had and the service was awesome. 100% coming back and telling my mates
Tried their food specially chicken corndue and It was really awesome. Enjoyed a lot. Great ambience & atmosphere as well.
Be really careful eating here. I got horribly sick with gastroenteritis after eating their chicken
Unfortunately our last visit to Gami was disappointing for a number of reasons. We visited on a Friday night around 6pm and there was only one other table. We immediately ordered drinks including a jug of beer on tap however my first choice (1 of 2) was not available, and a lemonade. The lemonade was not very cold and when we asked for ice we were told they don't have any. We also ordered boneless chicken with half soy garlic and the other sweet chilli with a couple of bowls of rice. The table was sticky and the glassware and cutlery on the tables were covered in smudges and marks. The chicken arrived and we started on our mains. The breast pieces weren't too bad but some of the other pieces were gritty and fatty. The bowls of rice were a bit small. The sauces were a bit bland and lacked a lot of flavour. Overall a disappointing visit which we will probably look to avoid this location in the future.
It took a little toooooo long to bring the food “coughs in 45minutes”. Only one person working in the kitchen. We tried half portion boneless chicken but the portion was a not much and was fried a bit too much. The chips that come with the burger were soggy with too much oil. Pretty much inedible. Fortunately the beef bulgogi and draft beer were good. 2.5/5 stars
I’ve lived in Seoul for two years. I’d say this is not a Korean restaurant at all. I ordered beef bulgogi. There was too much chapjae (glass noodle) in it. No side-dishes. No kimchi. I asked for kimchi and side dishes and they just brought me a tiny bit of unfermented white radish!
This place is so good, I have never been here but it was the best surprise and can't wait to go back! Had 12 chicken wings with sweet chilli sauce it was BANGIN' & also had the Tteok bokki it's a must have but beware it's hot but a good delicious hot. Thanks for the service!
Pretty quiet place, but good food. Everyone at the table was not served at the same time, so maybe not a place for larger groups
This is a hard review to write, as the food was nice but the service was terrible from front of house. We were met by a employee who told our group of 7 that there would be a long wait of 20-30 minutes for food, which we were fine with. The employee seemed displeased that we chose to dine there however, and that feeling went in to the service we received after. We had to fight to get our order in due to being ignored for other priorities such as clearing tables. I nearly had my food poured all over me when the employee served our food and had to dodge the sticky sauce or I would have been as coated as the chicken. The cook however at one point came out and let us know that the spicy chicken would take a while longer than the rest and his demeanor and service was wonderful and put the front of house to shame. The food itself was great, large portions and tasted beautiful, we had 3 full boneless chickens each coated in a different sauce with a variety of sides.warning the spicy one is hot lol.
Slow service, both in and out of kitchen. Fried Chicken is bland, radish pickle very fermented, coleslaw salad tastes funny. On a positive note chicken is tender and nicely cooked
I love eating at Gami, but this time the cheese on the corn cheese and potato heaven are firm and clump up when we first taste it, flour used on the kimchi pancake was way too much and what’s worse is the boneless chicken was served cold!
My honest recommendation to the owner and chef, NEVER warm up your pre-cooked dish for customers but if you do at least make sure to make it hot (that’s the least you can do)
Food was delicious couldn’t fault it unfortunately the customer service wasn’t great could of been a language barrier as she didn’t say much and the swearing rap music playing was a disappointment especially when you have a primary child and your already eating in
