French Accent restaurant reviews
69 Out of all the places in the past year I've experienced where I've had to reschedule due to covid situation changes, this place has reacted the worst.
Perth went into a surprise 3 day lockdown announced on Friday 23 April, and our booking was for that night. Although the restaurant was still open that night, we chose to reschedule because of active cases in the community so we thought it would be best to stay home.
Upon notifying the restaurant to cancel, Arnaud had told us that because it is a last minute cancellation he will have to 'black list' me. It's not like I could have expected lockdown to be announced and for us to be condemned for prioritising safety and not going out unnecessarily was bizarre. You'd think people would have more awareness in this day and age.
Edit: would have liked the opportunity to try the place but given I am 'black-listed', how would I? Appreciate the response, and apologies if it has upset you. It is worth bringing to the attention of people how the place's bookings work so they can use it for future reference. A restaurant isn't only rated on the food, it's also about management. Given I'm not allowed to try the food, I had submitted a review as honest as I could based on my experience.
Absolutely amazing experience at French Accent!
Delicious food and extraordinary culinary experience. Five star customer service, the team loves what they are doing and their passion is contagious.
I'll definitely recommend the place and I'll be back for more, thats for sure.
Bravo Antoine et toute l'equipe!
Came here tonight for second time & it was fantastic! Saw the “fight” that the the last reviewer commented about. However forgot to mention how drunk & loud the whole table was! It was frustrating & clearly people were complaining. Told the waitstaff I’ll be back for sure
Is hard to explain how disappointed I was. Left after the entree which took 65 mins from ordering to get to the table. Do your self a favour join Perth Foodies on FB and search the reviews. If I could put less than one star I would.
I had a great experience tonight! Food was amazing and the experiences with each dishes was so much fun! Price is a great value, knowing that the waiters explain every dishes one by one and the dishes are well served.
Thanks to all the staff.
Arnaud like the bite a bit too much.
An absolutely incredible experience. Food was very well presented and tasty. Strongly urge everyone to try the degustation menu in saturdays. The waiters are very professional, patient and polite. Bravo!
This place we dined here once with a group of 6 of us and we cannot say a bad word about them at all. Prices of meals are not cheap but you would expect that a restaurant of this class would charge higher rates.
During the day the venue operates as a macaroon and coffee shop/cafe and in the evening a seperate group come in and run a very French Restaurant. The three guys running and cooking are energetic and passionate about everything associated with and produced by the kitchen, and it shows in the food served up. Not only were they passionate about the food, they were enjoying themselves and this added to the experience of the night. While the portions looked small they were in fact very filling.
Delicious food and the wait staff were all lovely and extremely friendly. There’s a really happy atmosphere in the restaurant. That paired with the interesting way of presenting the food made for a really unique and pleasant dining experience. They made extra effort to make the experience special for my wife’s birthday too, which I really appreciate.
I have given up eating out as I always come home disappointed but this was a fantastic experience. The Meals were a reasonable size and very tasty. The staff was attentive and professional and it made for a great evening. Thank you. I highly recommended this restaurant!
This is a good fine dining experience that doesn't cost you a fortune. The menu is a 6 course but counts 4, as not much effort was put into two of them.
Had the pleasure of dining here on Saturday night. We had to opt in for the Valentine's day degustation and the experience was amazing. The staff were very friendly and made the whole dining experience fun by making it more interactive by using all of our 5 senses. Food itself was delicious and also filling and the service was super prompt. Would definitely recommend French Accent:)
I would not rush back here, Waited 2 hours for our main meal and all the vegetables were cold as they came straight out of the fridge.
Excellent food. A bit slow but as you would expect for degustation, as long as you come prepared. A great place for celebratory/special ocassion dinner
A patisserie by day and a French restaurant at night, this place serves some delicious French food. It's a nice interior but quite a small venue. Staff are friendly. The menu is interesting and pricing reasonable. Recommend a visit.
$74 per person - no glasses for the water on the table - told to use the glasses we got the our drinks. Given bread without plates, so we kinda just cut it on the table? Amuse bouche was sitting on the counter next to us for 20 minutes before being brought out to - prepped what looked like hours before. No idea why a bit of pastry with a sauce filling, slice of tomato and basil can't be assembled to order, which made for a wilted, soggy bite. 50 minutes between dessert and mains. We had two different mains, only difference being the protein? Everything else on the plate between the duck and the fish was the same. Specifically, the side was just a mix of vegetables roasted together, without real thought or care. The duck appeared to be roasted in the oven hours before and then quickly seared before being sliced. Not rested, juices overflowing on an already unappetizing plate. Fat not rendered, took minutes to get through each slice. The fish was terribly dry and flakey. The exact same cheese sauce made an appearance in three consecutive dishes. The spicy sauce in two. The pesto in two. Couldn't wait to leave after twenty minutes in - unfortunately had to endure another 2 painful hours.
A unique immersive dining experience. Great food. Friendly and enthusiastic staff. Great fun and different to the run of the mill dinner out.
A new experience! A must try! Great atmosphere with a French play list. We had a really great night:)
Amazing! Service was excellent and the whole interactive experience was so well done. Was already planning a return visit with more people during the meal
The flambe duck hits you like a truck. As if that was not enough, the chocolate macaron joins in with the fight and delivers that KO blow.
10/10.
