Fremantle Sailing Club reviews
61Went here for a buffet breakfast with my school. Not only was there not enough food for everybody, the pineapple was flavourless and bacon was burnt. Not worth $60.
Went here with school, and had to pay $60. The food we received was far below the quality expected with that price tag. There wasn’t enough food, the bacon was burnt, the beans were cold and the eggs looked like vomit. Don’t bother coming here, go to Maccas instead. The breakfast would be better and a LOT cheaper.
Great night for our anniversary.we enjoyed a fabulous meal with our crew member. And at a great price. We'll done guys.
We have been to the thursday $20 special for the last 3 weeks & we cannot fault the value for money this represents.
Well done Chef & great service Scott.
We have had lunch at Fremantle Sailing Club 2 Sundays in a row. Both times we have had fabled food, and very friendly staff. The environment is exceptional and lots of different places to sit, eat, drink and be merry.
I had Spanish mackerel and then spotted emperor, both very tasty and a good helping.
My husband had pork curry the first week and ordered a scotch fillet burger, but instead received a scotch fillet meal.
Receiving the wrong order is our only complaint. The meal was still delicious, but much more expensive.
Our friends that we had lunch with this week were all very happy with their meals.
Thank you to everyone from the reception desk to waitstaff, chefs and anyone else I have forgotten.
Gotta say, I love this place's environment and its decoration. It just made my heart warm for some reasons. The place was clean. Bathroom is spacious and hygenic.
Staffs are very friendly. There are two sections: the bar and a proper dine-in resraurant.
The best part was the food. Omg! I love my meal (cant remember the name), I highly recommend this dish (in the picture). Honestly, I am very stingy with compliments toward food when we dine- out; espectually, if there menu is considered $$$. The pasta, hands up, was delicious.
However, I was disappointed with their cream brelee because the caramilised sugar on top was as thin as a piece of paper. The dish came with bitscotti, which was thick and, with respect, was some unenjoyable biscuit that should never have been called bitscotti.
Anyhow, we were all happy:)
The place is generally good but recent changes are frustrating. What is so difficult about bill splitting? And if nothing sufficiently appeals on the restaurant menu, why can the bar menu not be offered as previously was the case?
Staff are normally very good.
We came in a group of four and all ordered different mains. Our Mexican waitress was flawless, Scott was his usual efficent self and the meals were delicious. A great experience and our friends were most impressed.
It would be a good idea to clearly state on the buffet menu what is and therefore is not glutten free. People can have reactions to glutten and to just say Ask the Staff is not covering the area well enough
Great meal very good service. Had the fish which is orange roughy, by definition frozen and fairly tasteless. Fresh fish, maybe pink or gold and snapper would taste better and provide more fish for the buck as snapper is cheaper. But then again it’s fresh which makes it harder to keep & regulate. But all I all my guests and I enjoyed the meal, especially the service. Regards, peter Hugall.
Attended New Year's party, have to comment very poor value for money. Would not recommend.
Great beach right near town just north of South Beach. Shady grassed area, showers, ablutions & dogs behaving very well off leads.
"New Members and Guests Welcome". Couldn't be further from the truth. For the second time yesterday my daughter and I were made to feel most unwelcome visiting the club to have lunch with a club member and group of friends. Mediocre food and hostile service is unfortunately not going to keep this place afloat.
Went to change a battery on a friends boat to help them out got yelled at for not been a vendor and was told to pay, will not be going back give this place a miss
My son and daughter in law with her 83 year old mother had a fabulous lunch at FSC yesterday with grandchildren aged 12 and 8. We could hear each other, the venue was sparkling clean, our waiter, Scott, was attentive and efficient and we ALL enjoyed our different meals. All mains arrived within a minute of each other. I couldn’t fault it. And the view is gorgeous! Thank you everyone at FSC!
The lunch experience hit a new low point yesterday with the quality of the food. Chips overcooked, side salad wilted and unattractive, service was poor with mains being served to the table while entrees were in progress. The limited menu was not inspiring at all and I appreciate Wednesday is not a ‘Restaurant’ day but even a daily special from the kitchen would improve the offer. The chef wrote he would reinvent the F& B product, well that doesn’t look like it. I know staff shortages et al are a common argument for a skinny service but where is the creativity. I look forward to the day the bar menu stays in the bar and on the days the restaurant is open table service and a more inspiring menu is delivered.
I am trying to be constructive as I really enjoy the Club, but team the food quality isn’t where it needs to be.
The Staff and Members at FSC are consistently welcoming and enjoy sharing the wonderful position they have.
Great facilities right on the Indian Ocean. Plenty of berths, hoists, ramps for all types of recreational vessel. The clubhouse is a hive of activity with bars, food and bands.
This place need a serious overhaul, for the level of what it is, it's not the best food, nor the best interior. It needs a refresh, 10 years past due. It feels like ur sitting in 1985
My husband Stanley Robins & I with his brother Errol Robins both Club Members and his wife visited the Club Restaurant for Sunday Lunch on the 9th October.
We all would recommend our experience to all members or family or friends. Our online reservation was handled professionally. The service and food was First Class. I enjoyed my Barramundi meal as the fish was cooked how it should be, not under or over cooked. The potato chips were perfect.
It is easy to park and a first class well kept venue to attend.
