Fremantle CAMHS

Our experience with CHAMS Fremantle was appalling. The Psychiatrist should be replaced he talks at you and disregards concerns and will try and trigger you to get angry and upset like a mind game which is unnecessary. He will find what upsets you if you ask to many questions and find your weakness during conversation and attack it over and over until you are vulnerable. This service is well known within the community. Advice is to persist on getting your child assessed for true mental health diagnosis rather than being told their anxious. Abuse of power and at a total advantage with no accountability very ego based and rational. I have spoken about this experience with other mental health professionals in detail and they say it is very concerning for the children and that they have heard about it previously. You go in rational and they treat you like you are irrational and then try to psych you out to make you irrational when your just trying to help your children get treated and the games have nothing to do with helping them and are a reaction to inquiries about understanding the treatment and methods and diagnosis

Really enjoyed my experience there. While it was over a year ago I loved it. It was a highlight of my week for 6 months and you couldn’t ask for a better experience. I had Kimberly who was lovely and made me realise that just talking about it with someone who really cared and wanted you to succeed is all I needed.

Worst psychological institution I’ve ever seen. They make you feel extremely uncomfortable and offend you and do not provide sufficient care at all.the psychiatrists they have prescribe incorrect treatments and medications and ignore and gaslight your own feelings which pushes you to the breaking point. The ladies at the front desk are horrible could constantly hear them talking about other clients which is horrendous and at one point asked for you to say your name date of birth and full w out load to them in-front of the whole waiting room which is a safety concern.

I hate this place so much that I left them a letter from my school notebook.
Within the first 10 minutes of my very first therapy session, the therapist yelled at me for being anxious

Left there more traumatised than i was when i arrived.went there for one year and was gaslighted, invalidated, and pushed to breaking point.psychiatrists ignored severe symptoms that i have (with the help of better psychs) concluded were flags for serious disorders.i was prescribed dangerous medication not at all appropriate for my symptoms.the psychologists were awful too.advice was shocking unprofessional.

My child went here they didn’t do anything too help except refer my child too a different place and wouldn’t be bothered too deal with them.after asking for a medical certificate they were denied and was told that they don’t do them after i was skeptical i called and found out they DO INDEED do medical certificates.don’t send your child here and definitely do not come on your own accord.

Disgusting. Do not ever go here or bring your child here. These psychologists have no clue what they’re doing. Shocking service. You will leave more mentally messed up than you were before going.

Great support, staff are very knowledgeable & will always listen. They are very compassionate & understanding. We have been so grateful for this resource and know that they willl exhaust every option to help us or someone in need.
