I went in on Black Friday for the Black Friday sales. The place had no one in it. I told the sales guy what I wanted and my budget amount. He walked me straight to the bed of choice, gave me the "Firm, Medium, or Soft" options try, to tell you the truth I couldn't feel the difference, so I went the medium.

I was told there was 15 mattresses in the warehouse, however they were already allocated so I would have to wait something like two weeks. With a few days I got a call to tell me they had the mattress and when would I like it delivered. I asked if Saturday's worked for deliveries. "Yes, we can do that". We locked in Saturday and then the guy asked "Does the mattress have to be delivered upstairs? " "Yes" was my reply.

The point is these guys thought about it.

Next were the delivery guys.

They showed up on a hot day and they had smiles on their faces. They scoped out the area they had to travel, took our old mattress out and put the mattress in.

Nothing was a problem, they weren't grumpy because it was hot or that "I'm busy I have a job to do I'm not making small talk with you" they didn't have "That thing" that often delivery guys have.

All up a 5 star experience. We'll be back in 10 year when we need another mattress. Probably on another Black Friday sale.

In the mean time if we can refer anyone to this business we will.everyone in the chain of people we were required to deal with made the whole ordeal worth while.

Don’t normally do reviews but after the experience I had today from a sales person at your store I won’t ever come in to a fortywinks store again. First I went to bed shed and I was served by. Lovely very helpful man, but as my husband said just check out forty winks for price. Well I went in to see about a mattress for my daughter who is 12 the sale lady put her on the machine and I was like she is 12 is that ok. She said yeah all good don’t really need the machine but we have to show people. Then I mentioned I had been down at bed shed. She then went on to tell me about the man down there at bed shed and I won’t repeat what she said but I was quite taken back that she would talk about someone like that in a store setting.
Not only did she have her mobile phone ring when I was there she then went on to tell me it was a telemarketer. Lol. The only professional thing I had with your store today was when I called and spoke to Kelly the manager she was lovely she took my feedback over the phone. I explained that I went back to bed shed and purchased with them Instead. She apologised for the service and said she will be detailing with it in house.

Steph helped me along with the mattresses experience in the store with great professional advice. On top of that, she always think in the shoes of the customer rather than the sales side of things. I would highly recommend her if you are looking for someone who is lovely, patient and knowledgeble.

Amazing customer service from Kelli today! My partner and I went in to just browse but was still treated with amazing service. Kelli had great product knowledge and was never in anyway pushy! It was a great experience that left us feeling like we made a new friend. Great work Kelli! We will be back for both mattresses!

Went in looking for a mattress, with no idea what I actually wanted. I was served by Dani who was so helpful and lovely, she showed me my options and I ended up with a great mattress at an even greater price! Would definitely recommend seeing her if you're in need of a bed or mattress!

Absolutely horrible experience buying from forty winks. I purchased a king sized bed and bed frame from them. At the time of purchase I had a call from jb hifi telling me there was no stock for one of the appliances I bought from them even after I paid. Hence I have asked the staff at forty winks to triple check if there is still stock for the mattress i am about to purchase. I was reassured multiple times that there is stock in the warehouse and my understanding is that it can be delivered and ready to go on the 2nd day after.
They then told me they can send me the receipt via email as I have to sort out the stock in jbhifi and in a hurry.
I then received the receipt the next day saying the stock will only be ready by end of next week and I called them. To my disappointment the receptionist said my delivery was not booked and there was no stock available. She apologised as the salesgirl was new and they can't really do anything about it.
I went to the store the next day to clarify as I cannot sleep on the floor for a week. The salesgirl who sold me the mattress still argued and stated that I was told multiple time that the stock will not be ready by next week and this was reflected in my receipt. I said I will never have agreed to pay for this if this was the case and that the receipt is only typed out after I left the store and sent to me after.
The manager on that day was really helpful and helped me sort out a mattress which was then delivered a little earlier by the end of the week but I received 2 single bed frames instead of a king sized bed frame. The quality was so bad for 500 dollars and my understanding was that the bed frame is a whole king sized bed frame which i did not need to assemble. They also forgot the brackets which was not included in the pack and delivery. I called this store again and was told i do not really need the bracket and it will work just fine. I cannot believe they could tell me that I don't need a part despite that I have paid for the full thing.
The quality of the service overall is just disappointing and I would not wish this on anyone else to receive such service in future.

Had a great experience with Mitchum who walked us through what mattress firmness would suit us best and actually listened to our budget requirements instead of pushing for a much more expensive product. Also went through the differences with the coils and what would suit us best. Unfortunately ended up buying something else at bedshed due to price point and product but would have much preferred giving our business to forty winks. Thanks for your help

I purchased a MLILY adjustable base and it was damaged. Marie had the sale rep call me to offer me two pillows and to keep the base. I said no as I purchased a new base not a damaged one. Then they tried to offer me 4 pillows and to keep the base. I would recommend buying a MLILY adjustable base.

Excellent customer service by Chris at Forty Winks Melville. Chris was patient and took the time to explain the differences in mattresses ensuring that we found one that would suit us. Made the process really easy and had the mattress delivered within 2 days.

I must first compliment the Melville store because it does have an excellent display of beds and accessories. My order for a KS mattress with a matching base and headboard on a 3 weeks delivery was completed on mutual agreement. But joy turned to disappointment when a wrong base and a wet mattress were delivered. The sales lady who attended to my complaint failed to provide a satisfactory solution at close of business. I was restless throughout the night. I called the store the next morning and was shocked to learn that she was absent from work for the day. Fortunately, Carol responded to my call. She was calm and professional. Within 20 minutes, she offered to replace the base and supply a new mattress made on priority order. Today, I have the correct base and a new mattress delivered. I am grateful to Carol for having provided without fuss a decisively buyer-friendly solution. To Carol. I can safely say that your helpfulness and professionalism will definitely bring more businesses to 40 Winks.

If you have spare time and nerves buy your bedroom from Forty Winks Company.
I ordered my bedroom suite in June 2020. They delivered them with missing dresser in Aug 2020.
It took moths until they delivered a faulty dresser before Christmas 2020.
After I made my complaint about the quality of dresser, it took another 6 month to replace the dresser with another one!
Obviously the color is not not 100% matched may be because they were produced in different years!

This review is not about the shop’s team. They are friendly and helpful.
It’s about poor order management, production, logistic.
I’m not recommending forty winks to anyone.

I ordered back in mid November and at end of Jan it still hasn’t arrived. I was told it would be three weeks for delivery when I ordered.

Great customer service staff who are knowledgeable about the different types of beds. The store has a wide range of products that can cater to different budgets. They often have huge sales and I would suggest either negotiating for a good price or wait till they have one of their 50% off days.

Daniela helped me find the right mattress to best match my needs, taking into account arthritis in my lower back. Thought I was in for a day of bed shopping; but was in and out in 30 minutes with a great price/mark down on original price. Thank you so very much Daniela. Much appreciated!

I am taking the time to write a review this morning, which is something I don't normally do, but in this instance I felt was warranted to thank Sofie and her very helpful staff.
My parents are in their mid 80s and struggling with many of life's challenges.
Purchasing a new bed is extremely difficult for all of us, let alone our aged parents.
Sofie and her team were so helpful in smoothing out the difficulties we encountered in our choices. I have no hesitation in highly recommending them to anyone about to undertake this most difficult choice.
