Foodbank Western Australia reviews
24I can't express how much gratitude and respect I have to the people and the service they provide. Always kind, polite and happy to help. The Foodbank is a valuable contribution to the community and changes peoples lives for the better. Thank you
Very good place for assisting those in need with food essentials due to cost of living circumstances
Good staff and variety of food. We are pensioners with a mortgage and this place helps us eat properly. Save money on food to pay bills. Thanks Foodbank
It is very busy and hard to get what you need without buying bundles of excess in packages. Very friendly and considering the constant stream of people, the volunteers do a great job.
Lovely staff helped us straight away in our time of needing help with food and the food was fresh and a lot of variety thankyou foodbank x
I wouldn't be able to eat as well as I do without this wonderful place of generosity. Staff are so lovely too.
Really great place other than that short lady who staunches you. Know a few people who have had their PTSD triggered by her bailing them up in a corner shoving the rules down their throat. Lovely sweet people otherwise.
If you could just go with your pension card instead of having to get a referral would be awesome
Service was great but would like more vetables and fruit, needs a more regularly bus service for those who dont have a car
A friend volunteered at FOODBANK Peel and was bullied by a number of staff and fellow volunteers. It was sad to see how much it affected her.
Brilliant work to support food security for those in need. You need a referral to attend. Thanks for all those helping make this happen.
Honestly such a life saver when it comes to me feeding myself and my 3 kids, great products for such a manageable income and budget.the staff are truly amazing.thankyou
The staff are very helpful especially the coordinator of the centre they are a great help for people in need
I am aware of a lovely woman who needed food and food bank was her last option.
It is illegal to ask for anyone private medical history and yet the helpers of the community did exactly that. When she informed them that she was exempt, she showed her exemption (she has a right to keep this private as it is personal) to which they replied it wasn't good enough. Needless to say, she needs food, she is being directly insulted about knowing her rights. Although she exercised her right adequately, she still had a panic attack! Now she has no food and stressed more than when she went there in the first place. I cannot believe the discrimination of our own people, we are all trying to keep ourselves safe. When did this ever become about sacrificing ourselves so that everyone else can live? We all deserve to be treated equally! Not to worry, we love her so much we will definitely not see her go without!
Very small store, hardy any food. Only noodles and tin tuna on the shop floor.over priced for very out of date food! Fruit and veg rotten! Frozen Mince was 2 months out of date.tasted funny but ate it anyway as I was starving.ended up on bathroom floor for the rest of the night! Very disappointed!
Meat over 1 year out of date. Not a good supply of food. Check dates. Not enough trolleys. Very badly organised. Wont go there again rather go to Spudshed or Aldi.
Serves a purpose in the community.for those that are struggling, really decent staff doing a great job
Food is fine, but the staff are not, especially the lady who is always seated at the front counter she’s nasty rude and makes you extremely uncomfortable and this is her way every single time I take my grandfather to do his shop there.why would you have such a nasty person working at a charity place? Having to deal with her rude ways as if People who need to go here don’t go through enough, what a great way to top the day off. I went in at 2: 25pm to help my sick grandfather get some stuff to be told to hurry up and they are closing in five minutes, so update your details which says it closes at 3pm don’t be rude to me about it I’m not the one who made the mistake.
Go to Foodbank And donate. A magnificent support for the needy families of the Peel district. Quick, efficient and friendly service. Talk to the manager Meagan. What a great leader and advisor. Well worth a visit and worthy of our support
What a great place and fantastic staff. Where would we be with out places like this. Great place
