Foo Hua reviews
77Best omelette combination and love the satay chicken with extra sauce always great service.
Had my Birthday lunch here today and all the food was delicious. The lovely waitress went out of her way to make everything just right, even when the restaurant became very busy.
Thank you very much. Sue
This was our first dining experience HERE as a family of four. There was definitely traffic of orders going out and people coming in for collection, this gave us confidence that the food is good.
We were given prawn chips as we sat down. We ordered the family of 4 pack (10 dishes). It was a bit of a wait, as expected. Our first dish were spring rolls, delicious. Our dishes #2-7 came awhile after. Our least fav dish from our menu was the combination fried rice. It tasted like it was warmed up from yesterday. The rest was yum! By then, we couldn't wait any longer for the last 2 dishes as we were full. My husband checked to ask if it was coming, and they forgot, which was sorted quickly. We asked if we could have it packed & bagged to take home. We came away with plenty of leftovers for next day lunches.
I recommend ordering online via their app or call in to order and pick up. Food was good, eating in at peak hour.not so good!
Con:
- Waiting time at peak hr wasn't fun.
- Having the news blasted outloud on projector was disturbing during dinner. Especially watching the bombing and war abroad while trying to connect and have a conversation with the fam.
The best takeaway around by a mile. Don't be put off by the look. This little shop serves excellent food and is inexpensive. With great service. I'm a very happy customer
Satay skewered sticks. Are shocking.
Deep fried chicken on a stick? And a satay sauce that is thinner than water. Not impressed.
Just ordered 2 main dishes, 2 lots of dumplings & fried rice for dinner. All dishes lacked in flavour, chicken was supposed to be crispy but was soggy, the free prawn Crackers were like cardboard & what we would normally have for left overs the next day has just been thrown out.
Very disappointed for $90! Used to be our favourite Chinese but definately not what it used to be.
Only got take-away. There are lots of chairs and tables so maybe a function could be held there. Decor is dated, and food awards are visible.
Food was delicious and plentiful. Lunch option is very affordable - $10-12 for a set menu.
Not that you will need it but there is a Chemist next door!
I will go back again and try the dine-in experience.
We arrived early evening so not may customer's or staff. Food was very enjoyable and fast service
Never got to eat the food. Took 2 hours on Uber eats to be ‘delivered’. Food was never delivered. They use their own drivers. Called the restaurant to see what was going on and I could hear in the background another customer who also ordered food two hours ago and never received his order getting very frustrated at the restaurant reception desk. Restaurant refused a refund to me. They then went ahead and noted on Uber eats that I called up the restaurant and cancelled my own order, which is now making it very difficult for me to get a refund. They are liars and the customer service given to us was absolutely rubbish. Never order from this restaurant on Uber eats.
Food is nice and good sized serves. Meals were slow to come out though and we had to approach the counter just to get some menus.
Ordered 8 dishes, the Honey Chicken and Sweet and Sour Pork was amazing and the dishes were well priced however the other 6 dishes were extremely salty. Had friends over and we ended up leaving most of these dishes as it was too salty to eat.
The food here is always delicious and fresh, the flavors are well balanced and the portions are generous.
The food was amazing, service was great and the price was right too! I am so happy that I found this place. It is one of my favorite restaurants now.
Food is always amazing.satay beef is proper peanut satay.very busy delivery orders.but our meal was delivered to our table in quick time.a little mix-up with someone else's order but fixed quickly. We regularly frequent this restaurant and highly recommend it for its food and price.
Foo Hua is the best Chinese Restaurant in town! My family and I make it a point to go there every time we want some Chinese. The cooks are very well versed in all kinds of dishes, and they always make them fresh as you order. It is one of the few restaurants that make their noodles fresh too.
I always wanted to try a Chinese Restaurant from the other side of the world and when I found this restaurant my curiosities were satisfied for good. The food is so delicious, I love it! And the staff was very kind when we asked them about what dishes they recommend.
Absolute joke. Order Uber eats from these people with a waiting time over 2.30 hours. Food tastes horrible. 100% wouldn’t waste your time ordering from this place
Terrible. Chow mein is a noodle dish yet it came with no noodles. What's that about? Chicken not proper breast meat but reconstituted rubbish. Very disappointing. In fact it was inedible.
Literally the best Chinese food! I had the crystal dumplings and spicy tofu. Plus the crispy vegetable noodles. Make trips to australia just to come here! Service is also fantastic. Good job!
Foo hua is hands down the best Chinese food in the city they serve very very tasty Chinese foods.
