$600 for a below average room with broken doors, spiders and dirt. All to have our dirt bike stolen. The staff were lovely (bar 1) and management didn't reply to my email. Disappeared to say the least

The reception staff were not very friendly or welcoming, and our friends felt the same. The amenities were not very clean, and the fan and urinal in the men's were not working. I think that I saw only one rubbish bin in the whole place, and the camp kitchen needed some cleaning as well. The lovely and impressive entrance was not how the the rest of the Resort presented itself. Its a shame because the Resort has the potential to be something special.

Where do you start! We stayed one night unfortunately in the powered section in the caravan park. WE WERE THE ONLY ONES IN THE PARK
Ablutions -
SHOWERS - FILTHY,
TOILETS - FILTHY
GROUNDS
Unkempt prickles everyware.
POWER FOR VAN
First two outlets did not work
.
Spoke to the "Manager " in the morning she was not phased by this and continued on like a conversation had not just been had.
Must be happy with all the local patronage that pay exorbitant prices for the alcohol and food.

I am not really all that precious about most things whilst travelling but give this place a wide berth it is a s@#t hole.

Eat from the bar menu rather than the restaurant for dinner. The consensus from our group was that the restaurant food was average at best and the service was terrible.
Whereas the bar food was delicious, service with a smile and overall a much more enjoyable experience

$295 for a tiny dirty room. What are they doing with the money they are making as it’s not going into the maintenance and cleaning of the rooms. I will say the place looks so fancy and pretty from the outside. Bravo you rip offs.

After a 8 hours drive, we decided to stop at the caravan park to rest for the night. After setting i went to buy a few beers but was refused by the staff. Apparently their policy is that if you are staying in a room you are able to purchase alcoholic drinks to your room but if you are paying to stay in the caravan park you cant take drinks to your site. Anyway i decided to buy a drink (alcoholic) to consume in the restaurant and i was given something to put in my mouth (which was an alcohol test to see of i didn’t drink anything so i could purchase my first drink then i would be able to buy as many drink i wanted. Whats the point of having a non alcoholic community in the area but they can buy and drink there as many they want. Then while i was drinking, a group of people came and were sitting in the restaurant (they were not indigenous people) guess what they were not ask to have the alcohol test. I think it was very discriminatory as i was black and the staff were very rude considering i paid to stay at the caravan park with my family (my wife and four kids) i would not recommend that p’ace to anyone as it was very disgraceful and disrespectful towards dark skin people.

Rooms are disgusting paid nearly $600 for one night in the family room.showers were disgustingly filthy. We had to be up early to hit the road for our next 6 and a half hour drive. All you want at 4: 30am in the morning is to have a coffee, well jug was broken. We also had a sliding door that led to our so called outdoor table area, well sliding screen was broken and hanging which meant we were unable to take advantage of what we paid for. Honestly save your money if I could give a zero I would.

Lodge itself quite nice, we had Sunday roast, great value for 3 courses. Pool nice, well maintained. Rooms decent except tiny bathroom with loose taps and hubby was outside cleaning air con filters at 9pm due to aircon not cooling! Our 4wd was broken into, only hidden beer stolen. Inconvenience of broken window expense v frustrating. Security seems non existent, we won't stop there again. Just want to feel safe on overnighter.

Firstly, I stayed in the lodge itself. Rooms are horrendously expensive but having a captive audience means you do what you like. The room was generous in size and for that I gave one star. But they are very outdated and in need of maintenance and updating. The verandahs all shake and the stairs have their share of rotting timbers.
I ate in the bar and had an acceptable pizza. Goddam awful music blaring in the background.
Staff universally nice. Gave another star for that.
Upon check in I asked about safety of vehicles and got a funny look but was told to take all valuables out and it should be ok. Knowing the reputation of the town I decided to get up every hour to check. Sure enough, at 1am they hit 3 vehicles when disturbed. Police came, couldn’t find them but did little to contact at least one owner who didn’t know their car had been broken into (we all had to give license plate details). Everyone left but I decided to stay up and sure enough they came back twice more. I sent them packing and called the police twice mor and went to bed for a few hours at first light.
When I got up, one owner still didn’t know their side window had been smashed and I had that dubious honor. When I left I said they should employ night watchman given the rates they charge. Was told they had one - I informed them that over a 4 hour period during which time I did the rounds a number of times I did not see the night watchman once! Staff said they knew he wasn’t doing his job and that they were actually scared.
Place is not worth the money and town deserves its reputation. Give both a big miss

If you are traveling Broome to Kununurra you don’t have too many options so this is about the pick half way. Van sites are large and there is some shade. But that’s where it ends. Pool is nice and cold but your van is a fair way from the pool so it’s a hike through the dust to get there or you can drive but parking is not provided for van park guests. Stopped in for a beer and wine and a meal and nearly had to mortgage the house what an over priced bar this is. We travelled around oz and went to many outback pubs and this is the most expensive ever. You can’t blame location on price and the management need to realise that if the cost were set more realistically campers would put more across the bar instead of drinking out of the back of our Engels.

Stayed here against all the advice we were given. Not that bad in caravan p.k, safety in numbers put my mind at rest. Had no trouble. Park itself is a bit run down & could do with a bit of money spent. Facilities tired. Did see cleaning done on daily basis, did the job. Little expensive for what is offered but probably would stay again if only just to get opportunity to see the site's surrounding the town.

Lovely stay.

I like the pool. Clean facilities.

The staff at the reception (7.30 am on 8th September) has been so helpful and kind.

This was a bit of a haven for us after the Tanami. It is a bit more expensive than some places but the food was nice and there was plenty of it. We were a little disappointed that the restaurant and bar closed at 8pm on a Friday evening but overall enjoyed our stay. Good amenities.

This was one of the worst places we have ever stayed at. $53 a night for a powered site and there was nothing but prickles. There was only 1 toilet block open and it was made a unisex block because other were supposedly under maintenance. REALLY? Camp kitchen was disgusting as well. Fridge wasn't clean. Orher appliances weren't cleaned. Just gross.

Comfortable rooms but are showing signs of their age and need renovating. The shower cubicle in the room I was staying in has a split floor pan and behind the toilet needs de scaling. The verandah floors around the room are showing signs of rot from suffering numerous floods. The area is very pretty and the staff are attentive and friendly.

Don't recommend. $295! For a very small basic Queen room with kitchenette and tiny bathroom (room 43). For that price expected better! Dirty dishes, no glasses, cutlery or toaster and limited tea coffee sugar. Mixer tap in the sink was loose and flopping about. Shower over bathtub and dirty toilet. Don't know why we're given that room when plenty others available. Restaurant good but overstuffed mushroom entree was not. The waiter and chef agreed but did not take the cost off the bill. Property needs a good tidy up.
