Fat Mamma's Pizza reviews
25For a store that just happens to be my local, they are by far the best pizza place in Perth. I've tried at least 10 different Pizzas from here and they have all been amazing. My favourite is the "Mama's Moomoo" but even the simplistic "Mama's Margherita" was amazing.
Definitely the best pizza in the area if not the whole of Perth! So many vegetarian and vegan options it’s hard to choose! It’s great value for money and you always know it will be 10/10 for taste!
The first time I had pizza here it wasn't the best, so I took their offer up to try it a second time. So I'll update my review based on the latest experience.
My second pizza was the creamy mushroom and it was definitely a vast improvement from the first time.
The crust was really good and moist, toppings generous and garlic bread is memorable.
Update 24 July 2019:
Following the average first experience, Fat Mammas provided a thoughtful response to some exceptional circumstances on that night. They took accountability for the experience and generously offered to credit our pizzas. We gave them another shot. We ordered a margarita and the creamy mushroom. These were exceptional and surely our best experience in the area and top of many great pizza shops in Perth. The crust was beautifully thin and crispy, but not dry. The ingredients were all fresh and everything from scratch. Love was put into these pizzas. I believe this experience best represents what Fat Mammas is and also lines up with the community hype of the place. We will be back as regulars and look forward to our next pizzas.
Original review below:
Have seen some hype around this place and drove past it many times.
We got the spicy beef pizza and the spicy prawn. Beef appears to be from a roast that was well done but then furthur cooked on the pizza surface. It was like beef jerky! Both pizza and garlic bread was hard and dry
Prawn pizza was overflowing with sweet chilli sauce excessively.
Maybe we came on a bad night, but for almost $50 for two pizzas, our expectations were not nearly met.
I think the claim that they use quality ingredients is true. The implementation was poor for our experience. It's a shame.
Fat Mamma's Pizza was phenomenal, the food was all beautifully presented and also extremely fresh. Everyone of the pizzas had a delicious, gourmet taste. You can definitely tell that it is wood fired pizza because of the wonderful smokey flavor. They also deliver to Highwycombe and Maida Vale. The costumer service was great, it made me love the experience even more and made me want to come back again. Over all Fat Mamma's Pizza was a 10/10, I defiantly will be coming back for more delicious pizza, pasta, nachos, curry, garlic bread, burgers, raps, chips, sweet potato fries, chicken strips salads, yummy deserts, drinks and divine home made loaves of bread.
