Eucla Motor Hotel Eucla reviews
71 My family and I stayed here on Boxing Day evening and we were lucky to get in, literally! We had driven 16.5 hrs from Perth on Boxing Day and upon booking months before (trying to be organised) and receiving a text and confirming earlier on Boxing Day that we were coming, the person serving was about to close up!
We were advised by a seemingly helpful person when booking weeks before, check-in could be before 8pm and last orders for food before 7.30pm.
We scurried from Perth, trying to minimise stopping time to make it into Eucla Motel by 7pm and we made it, however none of the information we received was correct!
We were lucky to get in to get the keys to our room and absolutely no food was available.
The young man behind the counter was condescending, quite unhelpful and couldn't care less.
In my opinion of being in customer service roles for over 25 years is all travellers booked over the "holiday period" should have been advised that their normal trading hours were changing.
It is very poor, I would absolutely recommend people to continue through to Bordertown than stay here, even the bloke at the front counter suggested we do that for food! What a ridiculous suggestion which was also very irresponsible at that time of night!
Contrary to some of the reviews, I had a great stay here for several nights. The rooms are updated and clean. The food service and quality are fine and the dining room is a great place to eat. The staff is across the board friendly. I want to thank Chantelle, who seems to run things, for helping me extend my stay and remain in the same room over the peak holiday. It should be noted that it's an easy drive down the hill and across to the beach, and if you have a 4wd and don't mind letting your tires down, you can get across by the telegraph station, or otherwise a few k's further west the road goes almost all the way. And the Bunda Cliffs are an easy hop to the east. I hope to return to the area and will stay here again.
We had a great view from our room. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. Food in restaurant good.
Best location for fuel. Do yourself a favour and drive the few extra kms from the border. I saved. 20c a litre from just up the road as I passed through.
Very nice place ro stop. All rooms were booked so only stayed for a meal. Meals were generous and delicious.
Sweet pork chops and chicken schnitzel.
Nice rooms considering the location. Comfy bed. Rooms were clean and well maintained. The rooms don’t have a view but there are plenty of great views of the ocean out the back of the motel. Restaurant had pretty simple fair but we enjoyed our meals.
Great room nice staff, make sure you ask chef what is fresh and what comes out of a frozen packet, the chef is very approachable and honest, the staff have a fair grasp of English
The rooms spotlessly clean with very a modern ensuite. The view of the coast line from the big windows was just magic.
Comfy bed, all good!
Rooms are not modern; but clean plus pet friendly system is refund of deposit if no pet mess. Meals are good and HUGE.
Reception attendant was totally uninterested in the customers requirements and looked like he would rather be somewhere else.
Very poor reflection of how things are in remote areas of Australia.
We only ate at the café, best sausage roll ever (I am an expert) and fantastic pumpkin scones too.
Nice little oasis on the Nullarbor. Great coffee and food from the cafe. Great seating area at the back with views of the ocean.
Must stop when crossing the nullabor you can also visit the old Telegraph Station once you there photo attached
Loved it! The accommodation was very clean and comfortable with a great ocean view. The staff were super friendly and the food was fantastic for dinner and breakfast. The garlic prawns and rice were absolutely delicious!
Clean and had a decent night sleep but booked it particularly for the pool for the kids it was Xmas day and pool is closed and is half empty apparently Been like this for months just wish they let you know when booking
Chef can't even cook a piece of steak, waited almost 50 minutes for a medium rare steak come out well done, served with cabbage no dressing Coleslaw was aldo over priced, never again
Stayed here in the night of the 6th of November while travelling with 2 dogs. The rooms were awesome! Freshly renovated, spacious and came with a great view. Restaurant was pretty good with fast service.
*Restraunt Only*
Despite being the nicest looking roadhouse on the Nullarbor, the staff did not know how to make drinks. The milkshakes were sub-par, the hot chocolate was undrinkable and we had to tell the staff how to make an iced chocolate (despite it being on the menu). It was also pretty bad. The food was nice and the kids loved the playground, but we'll be thinking twice before stopping to eat at Eucla again.
An excellent place to stay at on the nullarbor. Good old friendly hospitality, the room was clean with wonderful ocean views, we had a restful nights sleep after a long days drive from streaky bay. The fish and chips for dinner was good, Coffee in the morning was also good and they had lots of milk options. Highly recommended staying.
Very rude service, maybe the person answering the phone had a messed up day, but that's not the reason for her to bring emotions to customers
