Esperance Chalet Village reviews
39Loved staying at Esperance Chalet Village. There's a beautiful river next to it and they have free fishing rods, canoes and bikes for guests. It was peaceful just out of town but not too far out to be inconvenient. Would stay again!
Cute little triangular cabins. Close to everything in Esperance. Bikes and kayaks for rent for free. Owner seems nice. Lovely vibe. I’d definitely stay here again.
The chalets have the most beautiful design and decor and the owners are extremely friendly people
A hidden gem! A wonderful place for couples. Perfect for romantic getaways. Whether you want to relax or do some outdoor activities, it is all available at your doorstep. Perfect location with peace and tranquility.
We stayed in the middle of winter. The bed was very cosy and comfortable. Although it was very cold and the heater was not effective at all. I think a few upgrades are needed in regard to paving the drive way and paths to the chalets. Also to the heating and cooling for summer in the chalets, shelves in the bathroomto put toiletries on, a wider bench to put your case on and a bed head to stop pillows getting lost behind the bed in the night. Also the second floor is not accessible but is very dusty and needs to be cleaned accasionally.
My wife and I really enjoyed staying at Esperance Chalet Village. We came down for 4 night get away. The location was great and the chalet was decorated very well. We did have a few negative points about the chalet (note we were in the cheapest studio chalet and these problems might not apply to other accommodation on the property). The biggest issue we had was visiting in winter. Although the chalet had a heater on the cold nights the chalet was almost as cold as outside. The bed was very warm (with nice linen) but outside of the bed was freezing. There were a few other small maintenance issues (running toilet, dripping tap and the front door was difficult to close and lock).
Over all we greatly enjoyed our stay and next time we are in Esperance we will stay again.
100% recommend staying here when visiting Esperance. Me and my partner stayed in one of the cute A frame chalet for 4 nights. Very central to everything, beautiful view from balcony and very peaceful. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else!
What an awesome place and owners. My fussy requests where all catered for with no hassles at all by Fiona. This is a hidden Gemini a quiet Bush setting with an amazing clean saltwater creek running through it which is perfect for swimming fishing and kayaking which they provide.
Theres big fire pits with heaps of wood to use so you can toast marshmallows at night. My 3 year old could run free on the lawn areas and he loved catching some big bream in the creek. We live in the desert in Exmouth so being surrounded by big trees and having wood to make a fire was a real treat for us. The cabins are a little more pricey than some accommodation in town but the cabins are totally self contained with everything you need so we saved heaps on eating out every night and the furnishings and linen are of 5 star accommodation levels. The cabins are well spaced out and theres 8 acres of property so it felt as we had the place to ourselves.
We will definitely be back even though where 2000kms away. Thanks ECV for your hospitality.
Absolutely amazing! Thank you ECV team for such a nice stay! We stayed from 19/03/20 - 22/03/20. Thank you Fiona for accommodating Cree and I for my birthday get away, it was special! The chalet was so cute, comforting, clean and had everything we needed; with quality cleaning products that Cree loved! We didn’t have to hire ($) bikes, fishing rods and kayaks/canoe, which really made our stay. Brings back the old relaxed memories of holidaying in Australia, where there are activities on the premises, to just enjoy, a real nice touch and treatment of the guests that stay here. We’ll be coming back soon even tho it’s a 7.5 hour drive!
Such a beautiful romantic accommodation, will be back anytime I visit Esperance! Owner is also lovely to communicate with.
This place is really amazing. Quiet and peaceful area and smooth check-in/check-out process. A lot of thoughtful details in the chalets and the facilities were above expectations for a studio chalet. Complimentary bikes and kayaks make it even better. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit Esperance.
This is our 2nd time here on a holiday from overseas. Well worth the 8hour drive from Perth. Everything was fantastic, the kids enjoyed the open grass and the adults really enjoyed the tranquil atmosphere of the entire place.
Fiona and Matt have created a lodging environment that recognizes that rustic and chic need not be mutually exclusive. Additionally, compared to the competition in the area, which are mostly generic and functional lodgings with little, if any, regard for ambiance whatsoever (in other words - could be anywhere), Esperance Chalet Village (in our opinion) exudes in the ambiance department and is the undisputed winner of the pack of lodging options available in the Esperance area.
As world travelers and beach affectionados, it was the pictures of the area beaches that drew us to Esperance (our first time here) and the reality did not disappoint. Rules of the road to enjoy them thoroughly are to have a 4WD to drive on the sand, lowering of tire pressure for both sand traction and comfort on corrugated roads and (just in case) a portable shovel, a set of wheel traction tracks and a tow cable. Matt and Fiona were able to supply and/or direct us with all of the above, which in turn gave us extra peace of mind to explore the truly extraordinary nearby beaches. The seemingly endless miles of ultra fine, sugar white sand, aqua clear waters and whispy dunes are (to our knowledge) unrivaled anywhere else in the world and the ambiance and location of Esperance Chalet Village is ideally suited to take advantage of day trip visits to them. Note however that sun, wind and temperature can fluctuate dramatically from baking hot to windchills so the beach environments are more often than not best enjoyed from the protective shield of a vehicle.
Back at the ECV ranch the hospitality abounded with your choice of social interaction or seclusion. We stayed in the King Shack for a full month and enjoyed both.

We stayed in one of the shacks and it was well worth it being set amongst the beautful natural environment with everything we could need. We recomended the place before we even left and will be back for sure!
Not only is Esperance the most stunning hidden coastal paradise in Australia but Fi and Matt Shillington have created a stunning eco friendly village environment to escape the hustle and bustle of big cities. Close to some seriously impressive beaches and stunning hikes with impressive vistas you must make the effort to see Esperance and if you do there is only one place to stay. The best places are difficult to get to and Esperance is no exception. Rustic old school charm brimming with excellence and surrounded by the best beaches on this planet.
Had a great stay. Chalets are really well presented and the team is happy to offer advice of things to do and see in Esperance.
I just loved loved loved it here. I want to go back!
We arrived to a bottle of wine with our names on it! Chalets were clean and well appointed. They had everything you need and looks stylish and fabulous. We went kayaking as they provide them and you can also go bike riding! Must-stay-location!
I stayed at the Esperance Chalet village for five days recently and had a great experience! We stayed in a studio chalet and while the accommodation is very basic the owners have taken care to give them a cool cosmetic refresh which makes a world of difference.
The bathroom is clean and bright with nice toiletries that they encourage you to take with you. The bed was extremely comfortable and cosy for those fresh autumn nights!
They provide bikes and kayaks which are free to take at any time and there are shared fire pits which make a cozy spot for a picnic dinner.
There is also a shared Weber BBQ by the laundry in the studio chalet area which we used a lot.
The whole place had that relaxing coastal town vibe and I would definitely recommend and come back.
We stayed in the chalet that sleeps 2 adults. It was cosy and perfect for a romantic gateaway. We were surprised to receive some delicious home cooked cookies. The bed was nice and soft with lots of pillows and enough blankets and duvets to keep you warm through the night. There is a kitchen with all the utensils and cutlery that you may need, a toaster, kettle, electric 2 pot cooker, cheese board. There is a microvawe and a fridge too. The bathroom has nice hot water. Clean towels, shower gel, shampoo, a guest hand soap and toilet paper all provided. There was also a hair dryer. We definitely enjoyed our stay and would return to stay here. Excellent customer service too.
Esperance Chalet Village is a few mins drive from Esperance town center but also located in a nice and quiet spot.
