Ern Halliday Recreation Camp reviews
25 Better than the school accommodation i had back in the day.
Big field with volleyball n outdoor bball court to use free.
Short walk to the beach pretty handy n great for the kids.
Brilliant place for group gatherings.
Private campsites for a large group to camp on.
Great for youth camps!
There is no electricity outside of the main kitchen, but the privateness of the site makes up for it.
Cool memory’s of this place in year 6 but I remember crying doing the caving cuz I got mad claustrophobia other then that real fun times
Love their food and the activities. Went here two weeks ago for my year sic camp and loved every minute of it. Every meal I had I went back for seconds.
The downside was that when my school left on Friday I found a spider on my bed and there were slot in the bathroom in dorm 5.
After all great work staff, really appreciate it!
Spinnaker is an impressive venue, beautiful upgrade done in 2021.but a meeting room / hall would make it better
Awesome camp experience for kids of all ages.including those adults who like to have adventure fun on school camps.
Have had two kayaking experiences with Ern Halliday so far and both have been absolutely terrific. Staff are professional, fun and knowledgeable.
So lovely! Dinner, lunch, breakfast, afternoon tea and dessert too!
Awesome friendly staff members, clean bathrooms and showers. Comfy and relaxing beds too. My favourite was the lost pilot and the big swing!
Ive stayed here for a camp, and i think that ern halliday had the BEST camp activities possible. A couple of favourites were the big swing and caving. Nice grass area, and there were no bugs outside (it was winter/spring). The only issue is that we stayed in the commodore dorms, downstairs, and one of the toilets didnt close, the beds were SQUEAKY as heck, be warned, and rather wobbly, and there was portugese millipedes on the floors. But the bathroom was pretty modern lol.
I came here with the Rossmoyne SHS Bush Rangers group and it was absolutely amazing! The only thing I should say is to please please please fix the dorm bathroom locks. Other than that, I did Absailing, flying fox, caving, the big swing, archery, minutes to win it, and crate climbing and I LOVED all of them. Personally, I wouldn't do the minutes to win it again but it was better than paddling in the rain. Definetly would go here again!:)
First Time attending there for our Polynesian Festival.
Thanks to the organizers for the day.
Hidden gem of a campsite for small groups, friendly staff and easy to deal with. Has all the good basics and looks like expanding in the future.
Good family friendly environment, amenities and facilities are clean and in decent condition.
Shame about the flying foxes costing more to use.
Great facilities, quiet location, walking distance (safely) to beach and Hillarys Boat Harbour.
Kind staff, fun activities and good food make for many great experiences. Would definitely recommend.
Fantastic fun for all the family and corporate team building days. Plenty of activities on a large scale with heaps of things to do, including archery, indoor gym hall, tennis, camp fire activities, underground pipes to hide in and more. Excellent catering facilities with large communal food halls and incredibly friendly staff.
Wonderful place for school holiday camps.great to see its still standing after all this time. I attended as a child and now so do my children!
Did a training course there. Modern and well set out for the training. Amenities clean and fresh.
Seriously over 200 bucks per child for 3 days and not even fans in the dorms in our australian summer disgraceful
