Epicurean Crown Towers

I highly recommend this place for dinner. It was our first time here and it sure did impress. We came for the 830pm session and there were still plenty of food. Probably better with less children.

It has an amazing spread of cold sections including sashimi King fish, oysters and raw scallops in shells. However, the flower crabs were way too small and barely had flesh in them.

Mud crabs were cooked in Singapore chili style and perfect to go with the little fried mantou.

Sirloin small pieces of steak were perfectly cooked and tender.

Drinks aren't included in the dinner. There's a bar section with a wide range of selections.

Disappointing, I came here for my birthday and was rudely spoken by a staff member that I needed ID to enter (was driving so wasn’t drinking) - I understand places have rules in place but we were not made aware over the phone when we made the booking. Also I have never been asked for ID here before and came here numerous times so didn’t think it was an issue. Wish they made us aware before having to walk another 20 minutes to the car

This is quite possibly the best breakfast I have enjoyed anywhere in the world. Excellent choice and quality coupled with very good service.

First of all, I find the reviews on this place divided, its clear some people are wowed by the basics as others look at the principle, if you are a REAL foodie, you'll probably not enjoy this place. Not worth the money to be honest.

I think the price is mostly because of the décor, the food is very basic. How they can charge what they do is beyond me.
Paid 10 dollars for a bottle of water that is 5 dollars in the shops, absolutely absurd mark up. $5.50 for a coffee that was in a tiny cup. The meat at the carvery was very chewy and flavourless, lamb was over cooked, beef VERY chewy and no roast chicken>? A lot of the food was cold. The butter chicken was very nice as it usually is and the deserts are nice also.

The staff at the desert bar were packing some of the food away which I thought was disgusting, as I'm paying for a buffet, meaning a selection, and it wasn't even near closing time.

For two people at $250 dollars, I would buy the ingredients and make better quality and tasting food myself, with a pocket full of change. In this day and age, you have to be exceptional to be asking that type of price, and sorry, the epicurean most definitely was not exceptional.

If your looking to spend a lot of money of Instagram photo food and feel better than you are, this is the place for you.

Waitresses were sub par, reaching over our food and not replacing napkins or plates.

Food is fabulous. The staff named Chin was so lovely, attentive and helpful. She brought a slice a cake over to celebrate birthday for our table. Great place!

Attentive staff, large variety of excellent food, gorgeous cocktails and we totally recommend lunch here.

Very dissapointing, at $100 a head expected much more, food was avarage at best and service slow, we placed a drinks order as soon as we arrived but they didn't appear untill we were well into our second course.coffee (cost additional) was undrinkable, do yourself a favour and give this place a miss.

Came to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday last night and the oysters were not fresh, we both have stomach ache today. I have tried the Singaporean chilli crab at Atrium and it was very good, so I expected the more expensive Epicurean buffet would offer something of same quality or better but turned out they used blue swimmer crabs for the dish which was very disappointing as there was nothing to eat. Moreover, the crispy pork belly tasted like boiled pork as the skin was not crispy and was super undercooked to be called crispy pork belly. It is very sad when a restaurant inside Crown does not provide quality inside their food and costs $95 per person. The only plus was the service was nice and friendly.

Went here for my 70 th birthday, 30/10/2021 lots of oysters lots of prawns lots of seafood and I ate plenty.
BUT I wished I hadn’t cause Sunday morning I was in hospital with food poisoning,
Spent 4 days on a drip and lost 8 kilograms in weight (did me no harm) crown said there was no food contamination on that day every thing was tested,
Funny no one could get oyster etc after that date.
They said they look forward to seeing me again, you have got to be joking

The Epicurian is a lovely restaurant and in a good spot. The staff were friendly and attentive.
I was expecting a gastronomical extravaganza for the buffet but it was quite disapointing.
I really have only 3 reasons for this, the cooked food whilst nice was not hot but rather warm which for me spoiled the taste.
The yorkshire pudding was more like a dry muffin and did not taste like yorkshire pudding.
Lastly the seafood and salad were quite disapointing, seafood consisted of small prawns, oysters and smoked salmon and small crab pieces. I didnt see anybody tackle the crab as it didnt look very tasty.
The salad consisted of bowels of already mixed salads from different countries.

Services are super good standards.
Wait Staffs are very professional, experienced and polite.
It's just the food served are way not matched to the price standards $110.00 per pax.
International buffet should carry much better style, quality and varieties.
Salmon not fresh, mousses cake overchoice, Barramundi over-cooked.
Masala Chicken dried-out. (Witnessed few gentleman from buffet vomiting in the gent's room)
Spicy Crabs which tiny than chicken wings.
Spending cost truly incorporates;
serving customers charcoal buns, local salami, cheese, and crackers, pitted olives and sauces etc which truly out of customers expectations and appetites.
Overall, I kind of enjoying the moment of services, very ethics and efficient.

If you can eat and I mean can eat lots, I would recommend it. Not the cheapest $90 per adult for normal week night buffet around but plenty of selections including sashimi, seafood, Asian, salad bar, roast and abundance of desserts.

Visit on 14/11/2021 very disappointed.
They don’t offer oysters and sashimi. It means there is no food is valuable. No smoke salmon. Only smoke trout. The only diced marinated salmon, obviously looks like the part that is left over from salmon. This can’t be called “sashimi “
Prawn taste not really fresh, feel like been thawed for a while.
Anyway, 1 person charge 68$ is too expensive if no oysters and sashimi.

4.5 stars Lunch- while I do wish they started seating the long queue of guests before the 12pm start time or allocated more staff to lead patrons to tables (it was past 12.15pm by the time we were seated with a 12pm reservation, and there were many more behind us), once you were in, the food presentation did not disappoint.
Especially notable are the sashimi wakame salad, selection of unique breads, prosciutto & chutneys, hot smoked salmon, roast leg of lamb, caramelised gravy, butter chicken curry, distinctly flavoured macarons, perfectly made chocolate bon bons and ice-creams (oh, and twice-cooked potato wedges!).
I wasn't as impressed by the Chinese/Asian selection (sweet sour fish wasn't flavourful enough for me, and I have tasted better BBQ pork buns out of the freezer) but hubby loved their satay chicken. Prawns were better cooked than the crab.
Orange chocolate pots was a nice luxury besides the usual dark and white to dip your strawberries in. Among the tempting desserts: the lemon meringue tart and lychee shortbread stood out, and that rack of beef glistening from the oven and cooked perfectly medium.truffle mash needed more truffle flavour though, and assorted financiers and cakes were only okay. Plenty to keep the kids reveling in sweets with marshmallows, turkish delights, chocolate blades & assorted lollies.
Go with companions you can share with, as you will not want to waste more than one bite on each dish so you can focus on your favourites.
All in all, very satisfying, and they accommodated us with a toddler and baby in an appropriate corner as requested.
Also, often overlooked but not at Epicurean, plates were cleared very promptly and a separate bowl for shells provided.
If you want a more relaxed, uncrowded and luxurious-feeling buffet experience akin to a high tea, choose Epicurean lunch over Atrium. For sheer variety at a friendlier budget, go with the latter.
Accessibility-wise, this is double the distance from the free carpark - so best to drop off your party at Crown Towers entrance to queue up first.

Food was good. Bit of a line the Sunday night we went. Staff were good but drinks took a while to appear.

Beautiful surroundings, fabulous food. It is buffet food, so you can help yourself to your favourite foods.
