Emma's Seafood and Dim Sum Restaurant reviews
40It was pretty good. Prices a little high but I guess that goes with everything nowadays. We can say we've tried it
Competitive pricing. Not overly expensive. Good size portions. Only downside was the Xiao long bao.
Would give it a 5 out of 5 but the Xiao long bao was mid.
Food is a above average, interior design average but the service is just unfriendly. The young server is nice but the middle aged, short haired female server is so very rude. She ruined my experience entirely. If you don’t mind being treated poorly, you can come. If not stay away.
The Yum Cha (Dim Sum) experience was great.
We grabbed a good variety of dishes and all were very good. I really like the prawn and chive dumpling. We also ordered fried squid and that was fantastic.
The egg custard tart and egg custard bao was very well done. Nice and sweet, an excellent closer dish.
Service was also very good. Staff were friendly and served us quickly.
Next time I travel to western Australia, I'll definitely come back for more.
Absolutely not happy ordered food comes out wrong, not what I asked for also order a drink did not count for that
And to top off the night she was brushing her hair behind the desk right near the duck and pork windows where they get hung up!
Great friendly staff, even when they made a mistake with pricing. They were great, handled it very well. Food is wonderful!
Great dim sum if you are in the area. Service is a bit chaotic but the dumplings are some of the best I’ve had.
One of the many dim sum restaurants in Perth, menu are pretty similar to others, didn't really have anything to distinguish between other dim sum restaurants and Emma. Tried the prawn rice paper roll which was all right.
The food was absolutely amazing. Very impressed with the quality (especially considering it's a freezing rainy Tuesday morning!).
It’s ok, but given the many options of Dim Sum in Perth, there are many other better options.
It took a while for plates to be cleared. No drink options were offered other than tea. We dined at 12: 30pm and the cart came to the table once. By 1: 30pm, had the cart come back, we would have ordered more, but staff seemed to be more interested in cleaning up and getting ready to close even though they don’t close lunch service till 3pm.
Almost empty midweek despite Lunar New Year. Food trolley only. Staff seemed indifferent to us being there. Had to ask for food then trolley parked so far away we couldn't see choices. Had to ask to bring closer, Had to keep asking for food. No atmosphere. Food reasonable.
Food portions small, taste below average and too expensive comparatively with other dim sum places. Place quite dull.
No frills Chinese within the main strip of East Vic Park. Great place to go if you happen to be craving yum cha at night. Flavours are good.
Food was tasteless. Had 6 different dishes and everything tasted the same, of nothing! Service was second rate. Lady comes to our table to take our order, then as I was going to place it, she turns around and said she’ll come back later as I wasn’t ready? Seriously? No one even asked how our meal was. I see why we were the only people there and the bigger place next door was at capacity. No thanks. Never again
Very authentic Canton (particularly local shenzhen dish) and the owners are so nice. Had dinner and yum cha the next day during my stay in Perth last week.
Been going to Emma's since the 2010s but it's not what it was. Food has definitely changed in quality. I thought it was a bad day for them but it has been consistent. Service remains to be great but sad about the food loosing its touch
Amazing food experience.
Very friendly welcome
Excellent service
Good prices
One of my preferred dimsum place in Victoria Park.
Dimsum is pretty good and there are some menu which is only available here such as money bag and seaweed roll.
Staff are very friendly as well and dimsum price is fair. The only issue would be that the restaurant atmosphere felt a bit dark due to lighting but it's not a big deal for me.
Ask before sitting if they had vego food. Told yes but then 20 mins later when other 3 of my family had eaten from the trolley was told they didn't have anything vego. Ate white rice and soy sauce. Very expensive meal. $77 for 3 people. My sister complained when paying only to be told that they have a range of vego options and we hadn't asked about. Think qe were tricked to sit down rather than be honest and let us go somewhere else. Staff not pleasant to deal with.
Happy birthday to me!
Never going back!
