Ellenbrook Fish & Chips reviews
26 A long term favourite.
We’ve been coming here for years and always love the food. The quality of the snapper is always top class. The service has been just as good forever.
A brilliant local good old fashioned fish and chip shop.
Update.
I had been away from home for a few years, came back post Covid and found this not the same. Portion sizes have changed tremendously (heaps smaller).
Our chips had no salt but the everything that was battered was very salty. The servings were inconsistent in size across four different serves and we were very disappointed. The one positive is that it wasn’t greasy.
Been coming here for a while now- always the same friendly service & the fish & chips are delicious!
Good value for money- we tried having LESS added- only to be told it was a standard serve of chips!
As an Added bonus- they're open EVERY day!
It pays to call through an order if they're pretty busy, especially on public holidays as you might have to wait a while as this place does get quite busy at times.
Usually by the time I've called through & driven there- my order's ready to go!
Thanks guys
Best fish n chips in Ellenbrook. Have been going to these guys since we moved here 4yrs ago. They have been a bit off for the last 3-4 months but tonight's food is amazing! Light batter, fresh seafood, clean oil so not greasy. Hope it doesn't change!
Conflicted… definitely the best fish and chips in the area, however was told my order would take around 15 minutes and ended up waiting an hour (it was a very small order).
I found 2 peices of short black hair throughout the chips, the fish was slimy and the batter was soggy, chips were soggy to. And I'm not sure how because I sat in there and got it as it came out of the fryer, I live 2 mins around the corner and opened it as soon as I got home. Won't be back, didn't enjoy it at all.
Ok fish and chips. Every time we go there we are told a 20 min wait which always turns out to be 30-40 mins
Bought a chicken, bacon and cheese burger from here expecting a chicken patty, instead I got frozen diced chicken. Fish was bland but the chips were ok.
Absolutely rubbish. They should close down. First time customer. Chips were soggy and so under cooked we had to re-cook once we got them home, squid rings were the same, appeared to be packet and three pieces were smaller than a ten cent piece and the fish was tasteless. So disappointing and will never go back. They only deal in cash also so another customer inconvenience.
The best fish and chips shop in the ellenbrook area in my opinion, very good pricing, and there chips are always cooked perfectly

Great price, very tasty, excellent service, nothing is an effort even when you phone in to order unlike the one at the main shops that hang up if they cant understand you.
Always friendly staff and our usual Friday night treat. Good size portions and reasonably priced too. Fish always cooked great as well as the chips.
Good fish and chips and if you call through your order they have it ready for you great service
5th visit and we have still got great cooked fish and chips. The fish is not greasy or overcooked, and chips are just right! We travel 20 mins just to get their fish and chips!
Walked in, saw how dark, dingy and miserable it is, and walked back out again. What a dump! Went to the Slippery Eel instead. Bright, clean, friendly and the food was delicious.
$9 for a piece of fish that was so overcooked it resembled boot leather and was inedible, potato cakes were soggy. Chips were nice
Food was terrible chips were cold they forgot my crab sticks and still charged me. They said i could go back now but they close soon and they might be closed 1star and wont be going back
It's a pretty good chippy. The first one in Ellenbrook and our go to place for chips. Glad the current owner has the GST worked out. (that's a reference to who ever ran the place when it first opened.only original Ellenbrook residents would understand)
Fish was very soggy & waterery, Dim Sims were cold inside, chips were nice, there child run's wild around in the shop yelling & screening not a great eatery all round try the Slippery Eel over at the shop's much better fish & chips
