Ellenbrook Chinese Restaurant

I worked here for about a month maybe less. Now the training wasn't that good. I got told to use 8 paper towels when cleaning the toilets. BUT when it was just me and the manager (chefs too) and I got told to clean the toilets. I was using 8 PT like I got TOLD to use. But then the manger got mad that I was "wasting it" like I literally got trained by another employee, you didn't see them telling me that and than telling me its wrong? But only when I'M THERE? Plus I got told pay was this much on training days and this much on not training days. When I got paid it didn't match up. I asked about it and it looks like you changed my pay on the spot. I recommend not working here. Like you know I had to leave early from tafe JUST to make it on time PLUS you wanted me to come in 10 minutes early. You also got mad at me for going through the front door? Like will that affect your business? No. Clearly not a single customer complained so I don't know why you got so PRESSED about it. I literally was ANXIOUS going to your workplace environment!

Fried rice is the blandest I've ever eaten and the honey chicken must have bin cooked the day before and reheated

Asked for some ingredients to be removed (allergy reasons). After the agreed 40 min wait, they told me they couldn't make the changes. Refunded it and went to the other Chinese store next door but why waste my time and take payment in the first place?

Very tasty and well prepared and you can chose among many menu options. The best quality and fresh! I highly recommend this place.

Great service and it was great having a chicken and corn soup given too you in the price of your lunch

I ordered Uber eats from there of laksa noodle soup and they didn’t seperate the soup from the noodle. When it arrived it was soggy and when I taste it, I could barely taste the spices, it’s just plain. I can’t even see the soup and the noodle was so soggy. And costed me 26.50 for something I can’t eat. I can’t even get refund atp

OMG wow the worst Chinese food I’ve ever eaten. Pork chowmein went straight in the bin. Noodles were that dry I can’t believe they serve that! Sweet & sour pork so hard & dry like golf balls. Chicken fried rice tasteless. Spring rolls bland very disappointing not to mention expensive for the food they serve. Definitely WON’T be back! Can’t believe $98 down the drain

We had to wait 50 minutes for our take out order and when we got home the containers were only 3/4 full. There was barely any meat in the dishes with the majority of the container filled with onion. Both my partner and I felt very sick and bloated after the meal as well. We have been going there for a long time but have found the restaurant is getting worse every time we go. We will NOT be going back again. Very disappointing!

First time giving a bad review but the food was horrible, had a funny taste and smell, very oily and just not able to eat any of it! Spent over $150 and we ended up having toasties for dinner. Shame: (

If I could put minus stars I would! The service and food tonight was not worth even one star. Put in a phone order at 5.30pm and was told 6pm pickup. Picked up and they hadn’t taken the right name down. They hadn’t even asked to spell the name upon the phone call. Food was cold and sweet and sour pork could’ve been used as a bowling ball, it was that hard and dry. Called up to speak to the manager only to have them say “food will never be hot unless you come into eat at the restaurant, otherwise it is warm”. I shouldn’t be able to place my hands underneath the container comfortably on the way to my car. This obviously shows it wasn’t even warm. It was cold and dry. They offered to recook- for what? ! To pick it up cold again? No thanks. Won’t be coming back.

Black pepper steak was pretty good, but not amazing. The special fried rice was not nice mainly oil with no flavour and small chopped up pork maybe had a 2-3 baby prawns no other meat.

Great tasting food and friendly service. Good variety of dishes. Reasonably priced lunch specials with good quantity and option of fried rice, white rice or noodles (extra $ for noodles). Recommended!

Had the banquet tonight. 6 of us. More than enough food. Was absolutely perfect. Alan and his staff always deliver.

Don’t waste your money… the first time I thought maybe it was a mistake that I found a whole onion in my dish. I gave them a second chance tonight with two dishes… $50 later and I have a third of a meal and mainly onion… I saw some zucchini in one dish and a little capsicum in the other… total scam filling it with onion considering how cheap onion is.

Cannot wait for Leng Hong to reopen… at least with there fishes they are packed full of veggies and meat, as well as tasting amazing.

Stopped by the grab a lunch on my way to work, all hours listed online, on their signage and on their door advertises closing at 2pm.

Get to the door just on 1.41pm to find the door locked, the owner and staff sitting inside about to eat, and get told their kitchen closes at 1.40pm and they're effectively closed otherwise. If your trading time is listed to 2pm, you continue to trade until 2pm but there was no clear intention to if they're already sitting down and eating their lunches prior to this time and exactly the same time they stop taking orders.

Doesn't matter how good food tastes from a restaurant if you can't get their food. Horrible service and attitude.

I've picked up and delivered countless meals from here in my work as an uber eats driver and have always wanted to try out the food from here myself. It always smells so good in my car, wafting out of the thermal delivery bag from the back seat!

This evening, my family decided to give it a try for ourselves and I'm pleased to say we were not disappointed. The food was flavoursome and the portions plentiful. Wife, daughter and myself are all very impressed and satisfied with the meal.

As always, the service at the front counter was top notch as well. The young lady who always seems to be there is so friendly and efficient.

We're really glad to have found a Chinese restaurant in the area that ticks all the boxes!

Very disappointed, had to wait an hour for fried rice takeaway when noone was in the restaurant and it was average, lost my business, shame.

I've been craving NZ style Chinese sweet and sour pork! And you came through tonight Ellenbrook Chinese. It's so disappointing when you get the sauce separate from the pork.it just doesn't taste good and I'd love to know why you put it separate? I'm not sure if this restaurant usually does this as I always ask for it to be mixed together and omg HOME! If your kiwi you'd know what I mean. Yum! I'll be telling the whanau (family) where to get the goods!
