Elizabeth's Secondhand Bookshops reviews
40Huge range of books for all tastes, lowers the cost if you read a lot & gives the opportunity to try authors you may not see in other shops. Can get vouchers for the bookworm in your family.
I've always liked coming to Elizabeth's no matter the branch. Obviously the bigger the better, and this one in Freo has the biggest range. You might even find a book that you've been trying to find for yonks here, until you realise that the price is almost the same price of a new book. I'm not an economics major here but I couldn't justify those kind of prices for something that I could get mint for a few dollars more.
That being said, there is a trove of bargain books outside that's worth the price. I think they're at most five bucks each. But if that's the case, it makes you wonder why all the books can't be that price, as the bargain bin books are in no worse condition than most of what you find inside.
Anyways, I'm ranting more out of curiosity than anything else. Also, I've never come across a warm Elizabeth's staff since I graduated high school some twenty years ago, but this is true for 99% of bookshop employees all over Perth.
It's a mess inside and something's are overpriced. That's just this store in particular.
Great places in Fremantle. The warehouse closer to the harbour will keep you for hours if your a book buff. Found some classic books i had been seeking for a while.
My favourite bookshop warehouse in Perth! So much to look at and choose from, great way to spend a few hours. Always grab a bargain from the shelves out the front, worth spending some time to find a gem! Love this place
This shop is beautiful and everything you want will be in here just got to spend some time in there, we will be regulars
Huge amount of stock, bit all over the shop and I thought books a wee pricey for their condition, age etc.
No real complaints, nice to have access to physical books close to hand.
What a lovely experience shopping for books. Charlie was brilliant at recommending unique and interesting books I haven’t heard of. Bought a bucket load of books won’t be back anytime soon! Unless I finish them too soon! Go Elizabeth’s and go Charlie!
Friendly staff but quite difficult to browse as things are stacked in front of books on the shelves. (Amended to four stars as I had been a bit mean:) )
Great range of books from all styles at reasonable prices. May have to dig through the piles but they are generally in a semblance of order hahaha. Some need dusting off, but it is worth it to find those hidden literary gems:)
Wonderful bookshop with a treasure trove of diverse material complemted by experinced and helpful staff
So many books to choose from and purchase. Really enjoy going back every time we visit Perth.
Always an enthralling browse. However, sad to see the fiction section in disarray. Liz should hire more people! (Hint.)
Huge selection of.books.just have to set aside lots of time to find the books u want, and for browsing
Heaps of roadside carpark spots available behind the store.
Got no idea of what to read? Try their blind date with a book.
It was a really nice book store but the books were more expensive then new reatail books.the store was also very messy and it was hard to navigate certain sections.
Huge selection of books not the easiest to navigate through but it is the wearhouse for their other stores.
Lots of books to look through. Very helpful young staff, I can waste a lot of my time looking at their collection.
There are lots of books to be found at Elizabeth's that would be hard to find anywhere else. In Fremantle or Perth.
Bookshops are an important part of our community. If we don't read we lose the power of imagination.
