EL Caballo Golf Course reviews
25 Extremely tricky back nine.
And it's worth noting the local rules, about the rock drainage areas.
Loved the experience.
An enjoyable course, well priced and friendly staff. I did not hit them well, so may have hit a new high score for the course. Worth the trip out there.
This golf course is well maintained and very interesting. The manager is very friendly and I hope to come here again.
Fantastic challenging layout & will test your skills with numerous lakes. Licenced venue also with great choice of beers & soft drinks. Also have a golf pro on site.
A hidden course up in the mountain. Was really cold and windy. It was so so cold and very windy when i teed off at around 9am.
This golf course is a test, in beautiful condition an absolute credit to Ian in what he has done to turn this course around.
Extremely welcoming, staff here make this a great place to enjoy your golf. Challenging course that you need to think your way around. Highly recommend a visit if you love your golf, and enjoy some great scenery.
Its an really big course.you will be challenged.
Its very well maintained. Some great mates, here
I did not expect a golf course far from city be this well maintained. The green and bunker can be better than many busier courses. I also love its layout around the water reservoirs, which can be a little challenging.
The course is somewhat distant from the city but given the smooth traffic and no waiting time make all time to play a round the same any nearer course.
The course management may consider to put signs indicating next tee box that will help first time golfer to this course.
Hidden Gem, its a little way out of Perth CBD but a very picturesque golf course with water and hills and some challenging holes. Well kept, great greens and affordable. Worth a hit up here
Course is in fantastic condition. Greens are exceptional. Playing mid-week you could be the only person on the course.
We have played many courses around Perth.but the greens at EL CABALLO are the best.a little out of the way " Gem ".
Awesome golf course, greens recently cored and sanded looking great will play even better in a week once they settle, The staff and Ian are doing amazing things worthwhile going up the hill for a great view and awesome course
Tight driving course. Bunkers raked and in good condition. Fairways very dry with lots of run. Tight shots on all fairways. Greens very slow and could of been cut much shorter to enable better struck putts to go in.ie, Bumpy greens.club house very basic but very pleasant service by all staff members. Really enjoyed my day. A very challenging country course off the Blue Tees. I will be back with a different mind set, ie more irons required off the Blue tees on the back nine. Local knowlege will save you 10 shots per round. Well worth the trip. I will be back, and better prepared.
Love this course! Greens and fareways still look amazing as of 16th Jan 2022, middle of a hot summer
Course isn't to bad. The greens keeper could show abit more effort around the greens and mow them more often. Most of the staff are friendly and welcoming, the others are just abusive and hot headed.
Great undulating course, that's a little tight in spots. Extremely friendly people running the club.
Played today 26/6/2021 Absolutely awesome course, can’t stop returning to play 18 holes on a course that always provide a great challenge in any season.
Fairways are pristine at this time in winter, greens are great if not better than a private country club and very had to read which is what the golfer wants. Everything points to a great day out, big congrats go to the people who make this golf course as fantastic as it is. Looking forward to playing again soon.
I like this place, as it's always easy to get a game without booking. I am very much a novice and tend to muck up a few shots, I can hunt for my ball without holding up too many others.
The course is in pretty good shape and compares well with most public courses. It is wellgrassed and has improved a great deal in the last 12 months or so.
From a selfish point of view I hope it doesn't get any busier, however I see it improving all the time and hope those responsible get the rewards from their investment and hard work.j
