Eighty Mile Beach Caravan Park reviews
40Really nice spot for a stop for a few days. Great location and we saw a turtle coming up the beach to lay eggs.
Eighty Mile Beach Caravan Park provided a comfortable stay at $42 per night for an overflow site, complete with nearby porter loo’s (flushable toilets). The grassed site added to the appeal, but it's essential to note that the beach is not suitable for swimming. While the campground offers a peaceful stopover with basic amenities, it's primarily geared towards camping, making it ideal for those looking for a quiet rest during their journey.
Great park. Absolutely awsome beach. You will be dazzled by its whiteness after all the red.
We turned up to book in without a reservation seeking a caravan site and while the location and facilities looked impressive we were less than impressed with how we were treated by reception.
We were told rather abruptly we were not able to checkin early as it is policy to do checking in after 12noon. The park itself was only half full and not busy. The sites were already manicured so it couldn’t have been anything to do maintenance.
It just seemed small minded and inflexible to not allow us an early book in.
Disappointed we drove on.
Great camp ground! Nice to have grass under your feet!
Beautiful sunset over Eighty Mile.
Lovely and quiet- park wasn’t busy or crowded we are in shoulder season now.
Highly recommend the stop over!
Great last min rate too!
Bit of an oasis really. Wouldn’t expect to find what you do at the end of the road. The road in was pretty good, smooth, but dusty, passed the guy grading it on the way in. Nice grassy spot for our tent, bit of shade. Amenities close, beach superb - lovely spot to drive onto or walk to, so close to the park. All in all great spot, don’t hesitate to stop here. Throw a rod in!
The Mecca for anyone wanting to rest and relax far far away from anywhere else. Fishing is great to boot
Great location, great facilities and helpful staff. White / shale beach were you can drive along, fish and at the right time of year watch the turtles nesting.
What a great Caravan park. Second time there in three years, and still a favourite of ours. Great level grassy sites, clean amenities, and right on the beach. Dirt road in is fine, especially for our off road van and 4wd (but lesser vehicles would have no problem). Rachel at reception was lovely, and very accommodating.nothing was too much trouble. Can thoroughly recommend this Park.
We stayed at Eighty Mile Beach caravan park for one night in October. Very nice little oasis - only exceeded by the kindness of the staff;
We found out that we had a flat tire on our motorhome and could easily have been waiting for several hours before we could get any help. But especially staffmember Jamie went out of his way to help us and managed to change the tire. Wouldn't even receive a coke for his help. He was a life saver!
Fantastic caravan park.
Great staff, grassy area is huge, beach is awesome. Lot of turtles!
Eighty mile beach caravan park is absolute heaven on earth
it's beautiful here
too many amazing things to write in a review
best bet is come and see for self
once you get past 8 km of drivable 2wd easy just a bit rough
but you get to end and greeted by turquoise water white eternal beacheches palm trees a beautiful clean tidy caravan park run by amazing staff with Cafe shop
meals
markets many different birds tata lizards bigger lizard marine life
fishing walking sunsets sunrise. 4wd Beach
a memorial Anzacs so much more.
Fantastic, talk about a oasis in the middle of nowhere.
This place would have to be one of the neatest and well set out parks that we have stayed in. Spacious sites, clean amenities & actual shower screen doors on the showers.
On top of that they have a well set out Anzac Memorial at the bottom of the ramp going up the sand dune to a fantastic lookout overlooking 80 Mile Beach.
Thoroughly recommend this place.
We stayed here in early October, which is a bit late in the season (they close half the toilets and Cafe for meals are only open Thurs- Sundays). It is a oasis in the desert. You have to travel 9km from the main road on corrugated dusty road, if you take your time a 2wd and normal caravan can handle it. They do grade it. There are no frills, if you like fishing and relaxing and swim at own risk and beautiful sunsets this is you place to stay. We came for 2 days and stayed a week. They have pay for 6 and stay for 7 or senior rates, just ring and ask first. The staff are all friendly and toilets are spotless.
Amazing caravan park. Grass everywhere. Generous sites and awesome facilities. Will revisit. Thoroughly recommended.
We didn’t expect to find a piece of paradise after a 9-kilometer rough drive going in. The place is well thought of, very organised depending on the preferred accommodation. Our self-contained studio was neat and clean. The holidaymakers were considerate and courteous toward each other. It was definitely a home away from home. Well done.
We drove in for a look and are staying for three nights. You come over the hill and wow what a beautiful view
Where do I start, $10 for a bag of ice.
Advertised as a beach front grassed park, all vans and campers where squashed in the ungrassed area at the back of the park. I guess it saves on cleaning the filthy amenities block.
The road to the park is the worst we have seen, there was a grader on sight, but obviously No one could operate it.
We broke an axel spring due to the corrugations on the road after stopping to help two young ladies that had broken down as well.
This place is a massive rip off and the staff are very unfriendly.
Give this place a miss.
A well equipped place to break up the long journey.
The amenities were clean, the park was quiet and had room to breathe, between campers and caravans.
The easy beach access is a bonus.
The road is was a bit of a surprise after hours on the bitumen!
Large, clean, spotless organized camp sites. Hot showers and excellent amenities, store and staff. Great big never ending beach, a beauty spot!
