EB Games Joondalup reviews
38 Went in to buy a pro series controller for the pc and our mate Gavin behind the counter was trying to tell me a ps5 controller won’t work on pc. Which it does. Then when asked if I could hold the $300 controller before I buy it he didn’t want to let me touch it stating he didn’t trust me to not run out the shop with it! This is hillarious! I’m a business owner and never once thought of the idea. Get your act together EB you lost a customer. You guys wonder why people go online now days. Have a good Christmas Gavin you spanna!
Only reason I still purchased is cause I wasn’t gonna let him ruin my night of gaming!
Lady called me 11am that my 2 pre orders were ready to be picked up. Went to the store waited for 35mins and the lady in the counter said she can’t find it. Wasted my time in this store and hey it’s the Gianmant Haslab exclusive and Transformers Haslab exclusive. Both cost a lot of money and they just misplace it or give it to somebody else? What’s the point calling me to go there? I also put deposit on those figs. They only have 2 staff on Thursday! Late night shopping omg… AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COST
I always go to EB games in joondalup because there is a huge selection of different games for every console. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. All the games are proces reasonably, so most people will be able to afford the games. Overall a awsome shop.
Good store with lots of great deals bought a big stack of games today but check your cases before walking out I did drive there for a specific game Judgment PS5 but there was Lost Judgment in the case but I already got that game.also bought watchdogs ps4 I got agents of mayhem? I have to go back tomorrow to return them which is kinda annoying because it's a 20 minute drive from me and you have to buy a parking ticket:/
Way too overpriced, plush toy the size of a mobile, $20, go get a squishmelon toy size of a decent handbag, $25 from bigw. No comparison
Michael and Nick were great, went in with a faulty product and with a replacement in stock they exchanged it hassle free. Great service and super quick. Thanks both
Have been in a couple of times now and have found the service really great - unlike my local store in Clarkson. I guess like any store it really depends what staff member you get. The store is big and they have a really decent variety/collection of Pokémon TCG items. Have been notified about my pre-order and haven’t had any issues.
Saw Harrison and what a pleasure it was to deal with him. Extremely helpful to the point of carrying to my car for me. Give him a payrise.
Terrible service, Staff was rude. Despite making no effort to contact me when my pre order arrived there was no effort to assist with my problem. Over 2 years waiting for my pre order to be told " We tried to call back in April so we sold it " My phone number and email address are on my account so there were no further attempts to contact me. Less than a month after placing my pre order i was emailed saying that my stock was there to be email shortly after saying it was a mistake, I am sure they sold it to a family member or friend back then.numerous emails to customer service to only receive a response after about the 5th time and a phone call. I received some help but to be left in the dark for the next 2 weeks, A complaint to the ACCC and another email got me a quick response. After leaving a bad taste in my mouth I finally got my order. Disappointed Will never shop here again.
Went in trying to find something to play on the switch for my 20 hour flight, and the man serving was great and gave me a recommendation which has been awesome. Friendly staff and very helpful:)
Great, friendly staff who aren't afraid of starting a conversation. Its got a nice layout and always has great stuff in stock.
Games can be pricey, check price at jb fi hi to see what is lower. Eb has some pretty cool loot if your into that stuff. Also check out Amazon for prices if your willing to wait for the item to arrive in the mail!
The store is wonderfully accessible - all one level, very wide entranceway and plenty of room to navigate safely and comfortably while using a wheelchair, cane or any other kind of mobility aid. They also don't play loud music and the store isn't heavily scented, overly bright or cluttered. They have a great range of games and other geekery and the displays are easy to browse through.
The staff are also all fantastic. I've been shopping here regularly for many years and not only have I never had any problems (not even the expected, totally reasonable kind), literally every staff member I've spoken to has been friendly, knowledgeable, professional, helpful and just all-around awesome. They've saved me a decent amount of money over the years, helped me with purchasing decisions (like, genuinely, lol) and the team there just make the store a really welcoming place to shop.
I hope this store is still thriving for many years to come!
EB Games Joondalup is not unlike their other stores. But when you compare it to other stores, it not as exciting. Other stores in Perth are better stocked and you can have a browse before buying whatever it is that you're after. Here, you go in, get what you need, and then you get out. Shelves look meek and the deco, not fun. Maybe it's not their fault, there's been a lul in games.
The service is weird. Sometimes it's great, other times you feel so unwelcome. I thought I'd rate this place three stars but the more I think about it, there more I feel the service was not up to scratch. I don't feel good about it and I don't really want to go back in there. I can't give this place three stars for "it's okay".
So, two stars. I'd rather shop somewhere else.
Pre ordered PlayStation 5. Came into store Asked to extend the order for a few days and was told that was more than fine. He wrote some notes down about the date change and it was sorted.
Came in to collect my PlayStation 5 a few days after and was told the order had it been cancelled.
When we went in to pick up the PlayStation they said their was nothing they could do. I understand I don’t remember the employees name, but wouldn’t their be a policy set in place for pre orders and rules to comply with? Obviously this wasn’t followed by the employee that extended my order.
Extremely angry that EBGames couldn’t give me what I wanted. Considering making a formal complaint
Awesome service made shopping so easy. Found what I wanted with ease and got true value for money.
There is a guy who works there who has excellent customer service, always polite and a great help with whatever you are looking for
Mixed customer service experience here. Some really great friendly staff, and then soured by some who clearly look demonstrate they don't want to be there.
I was looking for a particular item, unfortunately they didnt have it, but they looked on the computer to locate what i wanted, called the store and got it put on hold for me. They were very friendly and knew what i wanted from my not so perfect description. Well done to the staff, wishing them a safe and happy Christmas and New year.
Gavin was very helpful and knowledgeable helping the kids pick their games, would certainly recommend this store for future purchases.
