I have never left feedback like this before & hope I never have to again. I always try to leave positive feedback or constructive criticism. Today's "service" was disgusting.

I was genuinely shocked by how rude EAV/Graham was.
From the moment I walked in, to the second I left. He was abrasive, rude, arrogant, belittling, and triggering.
While I understand that some industrial language is deemed acceptable within some workplaces, this was OTT.
He was aggressive and short with a poor person on the phone who called to ask if EAV could fix a smoke machine. After the call, EAV preceded to badmouth the machine and the fire department for times when he had previously tried to fix them.
EAV was short and rude with the customer in there before me as well.
When that customer mentioned they had concerns taking their keyboard down the stairs, EAV offered no help and ignored them. Regardless of the fact this was obviously a return customer who was calling EAV "Graham" and was acting ever so grateful to EAV. EAV never answered the poor person's questions about fixing or replacing their item. Telling them instead, He strips that equipment and "sells it to the Americans. "
EAV then preceded to be offended when I said I had brought in my partners speakers, and I didn't know exactly what was wrong with them. Not knowing what their brand also made him verbally aggressive and physically impatient.
EAV berated me for not knowing the brand/issue and then verbally bashed my partner for not calling him to make sure he fixed them.
Whilst, at one point, EAV did apologise for his attitude and anger, he then continued to take it out on me. Informing me he doesn't waste his time with non-pro items and rhetorically asking me why my partner even wanted this cheap branded stuff fixed in the first place.

At this point, I had started shaking from being scared and feeling foolish. I started to pack away the speakers, and EAV went to step in to potentially assist. Whilst this would have usually been considered helpful, with the body language and verbally negating language, this made me apprehensive and feel unsafe.
Being a woman, left alone with a verbally aggressive and physically self-admittedly angry man, is intimidating & triggering.
I suggest that in the future, you check your attitude and behaviour before taking it out on customers.
This behaviour is not okay.
It doesn't matter if you're the best in the business or the worst. No one should be made to feel stupid, scared, or abused.

If you don't fix all speakers, don't advertise on your website that you do!
You have no right to speak to people in a way that is abusive, derogatory, and rude.
I left crying, trying not to fall down the stairs. Only to find out I was not alone when the previous customer met me at the bottom of the stairs and, having obviously heard everything that EAV had said to me, apologised for EAV's behaviour and wish me a "better day. "

So incredibly rude, to the young girl working there, “get out, there is so much work out there, with great environments “ apparently they don’t repair speakers? Even though there web indicates they do!

It is clear why many reviews say EAV are the best. They just fix stuff - properly and with care. Being nice people also just tops it off!:)

Grant at EAV really knows his stuff, especially when it comes to mesa boogie amps. He is the only authorised mesa repairer in Perth. I highly recommend.

Had something stuck in a plug of an amp, they just pulled it out and sent me on my way! I will definitely be coming back whenever any equipment goes wrong.

20/10 if this was possible, EAV is a highly Professional service and have a very qualified audiophile in Grant Ettrick! Got my KRK12s Ho Sub repaired in a bit under 4 weeks, was told 6 so quick service. Price was excellent! Cant recommend these guys enough.

A VERY rude and unprofessional outfit. Swearing and carrying on like a maniac.

I would recommend the many other, much more professional businesses around, you don't need the stress of this lunatic in your day.

Grant is one of the most knowledgeable people in the business, and he really puts his heart into his work. As a customer, I want to feel that someone actually cares about the final result, not just looking for low-lying fruit or for jobs that are the most profitable. Especially when the vendor of the gear itself says that it's not possible to repair, at least Grant is willing to make his own assessment. For people with rare and vintage gear, this is huge, and his ability to repair vintage synthesizers speaks to this. It would be hubris to claim that Grant knows more about the gear than the manufacturers themselves do, but when the manufacturer isn't interested in digging up the information, there's a good chance that Grant knows it off the top of his head. I would give him 10 stars if it were possible!

I had a Marshall JCM800 guitar amplifier which had been intermittentiy problematic for about 15 years. Several other repairers had tried to fix the fault to no avail. Heard about Grant from another guitarist, and he fixed the fault 1st time for an excellent price with no fuss. Speaking to Grant you can tell his repair methodology is sound, which is just one aspect of what makes him a great technician. He and Donna have a first class business here with friendly personal service and brilliant work ethic.

My poor old Leslie 147 was dying and emitting nothing but a big buzz. Grant took it and completely renovated it with new valves etc. Now it sounds better than ever and my Hammond sings through it. My gratitude to Grant and Donna is eternal.

I always trust EAV with my speaker repair because when it comes to screwing, Grant has an extra long tool that always does the job!

You don't realise how worn out your pioneer stuff, blown amp or speaker is until you get it serviced here, I have had all my gear from multiple venues and multiple clients serviced or repaired here.
When a useless DJ cannot get it in the hole and just keeps a shoving! (USB, ethernet and the power) Grant will tell you what it will need, pretty much how much it will cost and have it done right. He has the parts in stock mostly and will get you going quick smart. Thanks EAV it's been probably 20 years getting repairs done with you and I will always be back.

I've had several bits of gear repaired by Grant and the team at EAV (MOTU audio interface, powered speakers) and every time the work has been outstanding and the items have come home in better order than they were straight from the factory.

EAV will always be my first call for any tech issues that I can't resolve myself. Grant is a fantastic and skilled technician with a heart of gold. He will give you the facts straight, and cares about doing the job right.

Had recently purchased a Mesa Rectifier head which developed some crackling/thumping noises in the first few weeks - sent it in to EAV to have it checked over.

Full service + power tube/preamp tube replacement, it now runs perfectly.

Really happy with the customer service and turn around time leading up to the busy Christmas period.

12 month warranty on tube installation is a great bonus.

Would definitely recommend.

Very disappointing

I paid over $100 for two tubes he recommended they were far superior to what I had. I travelled two hours to get them and broke instantly

Grant is the man! He fixed my RHS Adams and then 2 weeks later my LHS died. I thought it was out of warranty but Grant dug deep and got my speaker fixed under warranty! So good! He is the man for all your Hifi gear and more! Cheers Grant.

Grant can fix pretty much anything and is extremely knowledgable. Excellent customer service - they understand the needs of musicians. I've been getting my musical gear repaired here for 10 years and wouldn't go anywhere else!
