Eastside Social Restaurant & Bar reviews
21Great service from staff; friendly. Food was quality and quick. No complaints from us! (4 stars because everything can make improvements in some way)
For a first timer, not to bad it was quiet inside the food was lovely I had one of spicy chicken burger it’s was good and mot to hot. We also ordered scallops and pork belly man that was good and we also had grilled barramundi small portion of the fish
I ordered the Good Friday Dinner tonight: Salmon with Pakchoi, Kohlrabi, Young Coconut and green Chili with wild rice with a hefty price tag of 40AUD
Sounds sumptious and yummy, doesn't it?
Well, the filet had about 180gr. It was decorated onto 4 pieces of pakchoi topped by a bit of waferthin sliced kohlrabi. The wild rice were 25 crispy rice seeds decorated around the salmon (looked like wurms) and tasted like nothing.
I was expecting a meal but not a "Haute Cuisine" portion for that kind of money.
And what else? Well for this special meal I could not get the discount or points. This is only given to orders from the regular menu.
So I was disappointed twice.
The waitress listened to my complaints in a polite manner, but nothing else.
We had an excellent dinner. The food was amazing.veryTasty!
Customer service was also very attentive.
We will be back.
Thank you!
Got the steak, expensive for the portion size still kinda hungry. Ate there because I was staying at the hotel and didn’t feel like walking anywhere that night. The preset menu for a company event looked better. Should of gone for a walk to another restaurant.
Great selection of buffet breakfast served. Love the atmosphere and space here. Good customer service and delicious food provided, too.
My husband lived in bere for almost 2 years every time he took a day off from work.
Ofcourse he can choose any foid he want, and so far he dont have any complain.
Modern with friendly staff, but this is in a budget hotel so don't expect too much. The food was good and not too expensive.
I ordered a takeaway muffin from them. Overpriced compared to a regular cafe but not a lot of options nearby at the time. When I open the takeaway bag at my place I see three tiny mini-muffins that wouldn't even equal half a regular muffin. They could have either given me what I ordered or told me what they actually had.
It's been a few months since I dined here and I'm pleased to say, everything was fantastic as before. Our waitress was Cooleen and even though it was busy (Wednesday night) she was calm, friendly and focused. Big thank U to the team who attended to all the details of drinks, share plates and presentation, as well as to the wonderful chef and his brigade who cooked this delicious meal alongside their crispy potato wedges starter (sorry no picture of them this time, but trust me, they're that good!) which I gladly paid extra for! See you all again soon
Staff did their best in the circumstances and the garlic bread is the only thing worth praising. The steak was cooked not to order (so well-done it was purple when it was ordered medium-rare) and the pizza dough was not proofed enough.we left half the food on the table. Mains arrive over 1hr after starters. Would never go there again nor recommend it at all.
Ate here over the Easter weekend.
I was hangry and left exhausted and still hangry. Possibly the worse steak I have ever eaten in Perth.
Everything was covered in garlic which over powered the plate. Thankfully I didn't need to get close to anyone for 12 hours.
I waited for over 35 minutes for my meal and even needed to ask for a steak knife.
The whole experience felt a bit like dining at Fawlty Towers.
An extra star for being open on Good Friday.
The most impressive is the staffs are so nice, even for big group of people. Comfortable place for gatherings, they are big-group friendly. However, they don't have private room, so it is not suitable if you want privacy. Price and portion are reasonable (some are quite big portions). I really like the classic cheese burger. It is very good that no surcharge for bringing your own cake: D Will go there again.
Had a midweek dinner at this restaurant. The restaurant is clean and bright.coloured chairs. We shared a garlic bread which was HUGE. Could have served 4 as an entree. I had a Rendang curry and it was delicious. Husband had a chicken parmigiana. Waitress was pleasant and attentive.
Very friendly staff and great food. We shared the entree seafood platter and absolutely loved it. The main course and dessert were delicious as well. A wonderful anniversary dinner
My wife and I used a Cudo voucher for a seafood platter and a bottle of wine at Eastside Social tonight. The service was very good but the food took a while to be served. Approximately 40 minutes. The seafood platter was dry and the prawns, fish and dumplings were very overcooked. The squid wasn't bad and the rice was the best part of the dish. It was moist and very flavoursome. The worst part was arriving home and both feeling sick. We both had the runs and are still feeling unwell. Obviously something on the platter was off.
To any potential diners who are reading up the review regarding Eastside Social Restaurant & Bar, I am going to list down 2 reasons that you should not hesitate but make your booking at the restaurant straight away.
First of all, the food they serve is great quality and the serving is HUGE.
Next, when everyone talk about ibis, you would have an impression this is gonna be the second tier hotel brand and so does the restaurant, which is situated inside the hotel. However, you will be very dissapointed with that. Yes, a team that is led by Nicole, the restaurant manager, brings our dining experience to the next level, surpass any 5 star hotels restaurants in Perth! Nicole and her team (we have casey today) made us feel special, from the moment we entered to the restaurant, Nicole recognized us, yes that's only our 2nd visit, how amazing is that! When the food was served, Nicole and Casey always come back to ask if we were happy with the food. On top of that, they paid attention to every single details such as making sure you have the right utensils for the steak, changed your plates and spoon on time for dessert, always replenish your drinks and went extra miles to offer complimentary ice cream for my child. The whole dining experience was VIP for us as if they stoodby anytime just for you!
I was indeed very impressed with IBIS management which they trust and enpower Nicole and her team to give the top quality to the diners. They know exactly what they are doing and do their best to accomodate you.
Finally, I would definitely say that it's Nicole and the team make the whole dining experience to the next level. Thank you so much and I am surely diners who have been to eastside social restaurant and bar will share the same view as i do.
O yes, we couldn't finish some food wanted a take away box, Nicole packed the food for us and even included extra sauces in it. How amazing she is. Great work Nicole. You are certainly an asset to the Eastside Social Restaurant. Thanks for making the experience so speical for us.
Brought a scoopon for lunch, and have to say it was great value for money, attentive staff and good food, will be returning very soon, great job!
I have just found a new favourite eatery. Food was fresh and light. Tasty.chocolate fondant with black cherries was to die for. Staff, very professional and friendly. We will definitely be back.well done
